Dreamflight is a dedicated UK charity who provide amazing holidays to Orlando and in the UK to children with a serious illness or disability, without their parents. Accompanied by a brilliant team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and non medical volunteers these holidays do something that medicine can’t, the children discover independence, confidence, and experience things that they never thought possible.

To do this we have need to raise more than £1M each year and we are looking for a highly organised, flexible individual with excellent communication skills to help us achieve this. As a key member of our small friendly, fundraising team, your role will focus on supporting and engaging with our dedicated fundraisers, ensuring they have the resources they need to raise vital funds for Dreamflight. You’ll be responsible for tasks such as:

· Coordinating with fundraisers to provide ongoing support and encouragement

· Sending out promotional materials and merchandise

· Maintaining and updating our databases

· Assisting with event organisation; and

· Managing our merchandise and literature

This is a maternity cover position for one year, with flexible part time hours to suit your schedule.

Direct Marketing Manager-Retention at the Disasters Emergency Committee is pivotal when we launch an appeal. They will shape and deliver new and existing supporter journeys for the DEC’s individual, community and legacy donors, and lead a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.

The purpose of the role is to:

• Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,
• Lead on the production of retention and reporting back materials for individual and community supporters,
• Manage the development and maintenance of specific supporter journeys,
• Develop and oversee the materials and supporter positioning for a light touch and mainly reactive legacy marketing programme for the DEC.

The role will deliver responsibilities for strategy and planning, fundraising, networking and building relationships. You must have strong direct marketing experience with a focus on high volume donor acquisition and demonstrable knowledge of direct marketing techniques such as direct mail, email, SMS and SMS content management systems.

A proven track record of developing effective digital and direct marketing strategies, which resulted in significant growth of income and retention of a charity’s individual supporters. Experience of managing complex budgets and proven ability to manage a complex operational plan within very short timeframes and within budget.

You must have excellent understanding of donor motivations, managing donor relationships, supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.

Ideally you will have experience of working in the international humanitarian aid sector, have excellent understanding of current trends within charity direct marketing and have used Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google analytics.

An ability to work under extreme pressure during appeals and to very tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail is a key driver for success in this role.

You will join a collaborative team, department and organisation that excels in maximising their fundraising effort in response to disasters that keeps donors and recipients of funds updated and engaged throughout and beyond the journey of an appeal.

Main purpose of post 

You will manage Survive’s daily operations to keep the organisation compliant and functioning efficiently and to lead on specific projects to further the organisation’s mission and strategic aims.

You will attend regular meetings with the CEO, be an active member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and attend other internal meetings and working groups.

You will also be instrumental in the Client Journey working group and their work to streamline and improve services. Where necessary, you will represent Survive at external meetings and working groups. 

You will be responsible for the completion of timely performance reports to the Board of Trustees and internal working groups. This role will also provide statistics for internal/external use as/when required.

You will oversee a number of internal projects and external pilot projects.

Outline of main duties 

The following is a summary of the key responsibilities of the post. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list, and the post-holder may be required to carry out other duties which are appropriate to the scale and nature of the job role. 

Operations:

o ensuring that key tasks and our contractual obligations are being fulfilled. You will ensure accurate and appropriate record keeping across the team on our database, Charity Log.

o working with the SMT on an organisational design structure which meets the needs of our growing service

o attending SMT and Client Journey working group meetings to discuss and resolve organisational challenges and help address ‘bottlenecks’ in service provision’

o taking responsibility for premises including the Micklegate office and remote counselling locations. Includes liaison with the landlord, booking rooms and inspecting premises to ensure they are suitable for counselling

o taking responsibility for health and safety in our York office

o compiling risk assessments for the York office, satellite locations, home workers and external events and activities.

IT and phone systems

o providing training and support on IT and Survive’s systems and software to staff, volunteers and trustees.

o liaising with Survive’s IT and phone/broadband suppliers regarding upgrades, service continuity, security and risk management

o answering first line technical questions before escalating to Fusion Systems

o controlling system access permissions to software applications and Sharepoint folders

o setting up new and managing existing software applications to ensure Survive is making the best use of technology to assist with organisational efficiency

o being responsible for the purchase, upgrading, maintenance and disposal of IT hardware and mobile phones within approved spending limits, and preparing costed proposals for Board approval, where necessary

Policies and procedures

o You will follow Survive policies and procedures including (though not limited to) Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Confidentiality, data protection and information sharing

o You will monitor the data that Survive holds for clients in order to comply with the organisation’s confidentiality policy and with UK GDPR including responding to third party disclosure requests and Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) from service-users, former service-users and third parties

o You will contribute to the maintenance and development of Survive’s policies and procedures

Resources

o ensuring that Survive obtains value for money and works to achieve efficiency by reviewing practices, systems and processes and making changes and recommendations where necessary

o managing the procurement process for insurance, leases, suppliers and contracts in order to get the best value and to meet the needs of Survive

o attending the Finance and Resources sub-committee meetings to advise on contracts and suppliers

Projects, monitoring and evaluation

o attending external meetings with funders, partners and commissioners where required, and where necessary, provide monitoring and evaluation reports

o attending working groups to represent Survive

o liaising with partners to develop and secure funding for pilot projects and be responsible for ensuring key milestones are met and the production of regular monitoring and evaluation reports

o providing reports to the Board of Trustees including Survive’s performance against Key Performance indicators (KPIs)

o You will plan and deliver specific projects, working with internal and external stakeholders and reporting on key outcomes and deliverables. For example, you will maintain existing accreditations (e.g. The Survivors’ Trust) and work towards gaining new accreditations (e.g. BACP)

Qualifications 

• You will have a good standard of general education and ideally a qualification in one or more of the following areas: business administration, project management, charity management

Operations 

• Experience of procurement and managing supplier contracts

• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and UK GDPR

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a Philanthropy Manager who is passionate about high value fundraising, relishes the challenge of growing a pipeline and is motivated by UNHCR’s work.

You will join our small but talented Philanthropy Team playing a key part in identifying and bringing on board new, prospective donors, as well as growing relationships and income from donors already supporting UK for UNHCR.

You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO, trustees and international colleagues to steward and cultivate donor relationships, and to inspire and engage new supporters. An experienced fundraiser, you will provide strategic insight into how we grow and improve our programme. 

You will be confident in navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders and in negotiating internally as well as externally. You will enjoy developing strong relationships, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and will be adept at managing prospect pipelines and crafting compelling donor communications.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES

• Grow prospect pipeline and the number of donors donating £10K+ to UNHCR’s work. 
• Grow UK for UNHCR’s sustainable income by growing the number of multi-year donors funding our programmes outside of emergencies. 
• Work with the wider international organisation to identify the most appropriate funding propositions for donors. 
• Craft compelling propositions and proposals for major donors and ensure quality and timely reporting back on gifts made. 
• Work closely with the IG team to manage the transition of mid-value donors to the major donor programme. 
• Engage existing and selected prospect major donors in the event of humanitarian emergencies. 
• Work independently and with the prospect researcher to gather up-to-date and accurate information on existing and prospect major donors and to develop network maps. 
• Maintain accurate records, including Salesforce and UK for UNHCR’s databases for income recording and earmarking. 
• Working with the wider team to contribute to the delivery of bespoke philanthropy activities such as roundtables and webinars. 
• Help to position and raise awareness of UK for UNHCR’s role among peers, donors and other audiences by participating in sector networks and representing UK for UNHCR at events. 
• Work within UK for UNHCR’s due diligence policy and processes. 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
 
Essential Experience 

• Experience of working in an income generating capacity with an NGO or INGO to identify, approach, secure and steward major donors giving or capable of giving over five to six-figure gifts. 
• Experience of developing donor care plans and delivering bespoke proposals and  communications to generate income. 
• Experience of managing and growing a prospect pipeline. 
• Experience of working with trustees, CEO and senior stakeholders to build donor relationships.

Role Summary

Coram’s Fields is a unique charity in the heart of Bloomsbury, London. In addition to our iconic 7-acre child-friendly park, we run a variety of services and enrichment programmes to support local young people and their families, including a nursery, an after-school and holiday club, a drop-in centre for parents of under-5s, a vibrant youth centre and a sports programme. We proactively host a wide variety of community events and celebrations, and our facilities are available for private hire to generate income for the charity.

The Operations Officer role is an integral part of the central team with responsibility for procedures, systems that support the effective, efficient, and compliant running of our seven-acre site, services, park events and oversight of income streams. It is an exciting and highly collaborative role offering a fantastic opportunity to combine effective communication and organisational skills with a passion for helping young people and a desire to develop commercial and business development experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

General operations, processes and systems 

• You will be responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of organisational procedures including IT, GDPR, Health and Safety, Fire Evacuation, incident management.
• You will be responsible for briefing staff across the charity in the use of these procedures and working with the Office and HR Manager to arrange training for staff where necessary. 
• You will be responsible for improving existing office systems and identifying opportunities to develop new systems and processes to enable people to work more collaboratively, efficiently, and effectively. 
• You will be responsible for ensuring that organisational procedures are documented and accessible on the internal SharePoint.
• You will be responsible for developing and overseeing a new volunteer infrastructure for the charity, working with teams across the organisation to deliver a consistently high-quality volunteer experience for all with standard recruitment, induction, and on-going oversight procedures.

Events and project management 

• You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing a diverse and inclusive programme of park events, making the park an interesting and vibrant place to visit, encouraging the community to gather and socialise, and generating income to support the work of the charity.
• You will have responsibility for working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure each event is well-planned, managed safely and compliantly with all regulations and laws, and executed successfully within budget. 
• You will work with the CEO, COO and Buildings and Facilities Manager to support capital projects, liaising with external stakeholders, contractors and the Local Authority to ensure the effective operation of the site. Commercial Operations
•  You will operationally oversee our facility-hire income (halls, sports facilities, and grounds) and be responsible for: – ensuring necessary contracts, waivers, and legal/statutory documents are completed – executing effective marketing and promotions, and creating high quality promotional content for our website and social media – regularly reviewing fees in relation to the hire of our facilities and making recommendations for changes to these – understanding and improving the utilisation of facilities – supporting the COO to develop and grow partnerships with local organisations and schools – improving the efficiency of our booking systems/processes and overall user experience 
• You will be responsible for identifying new (temporary and permanent) opportunities and third party partnerships to bring new experiences, enjoyment and enrichment to local young people while also generating income for the charity. 
• You will work closely with our Café Manager to grow the profile and income generated by our cafe through improved park signage and park visitor experience initiatives, and integration of the café into the hall and sports hire customer journeys.

Other 

• You will be expected to undertake personal development and training where required or beneficial for the role, and to attend regular supervision and appraisal sessions.
• To undertake any task that may be request from time to time by the CEO or Board of Trustees, as may be consistent with the nature and scope of this post.

Interagency work

· Work to embed the Case Manager role into multi-agency responses to domestic abuse in the area.

· Effective understanding and implementation of institutional advocacy by pro- socially challenging partner agencies, acknowledging best practice and striving for change to benefit the individual, the service and the sector.

· Support other professionals in responding to service users in a way that is coterminous with the aims and ethos of the Drive Project.

Case management

· Comply with child protection and information sharing policies, ensuring that service users and colleagues understand and comply with the service’s safeguarding framework.

· Manage a case load focusing on high risk perpetrators of domestic abuse to provide an assertive, medium to long term service, based on thorough assessment and individual support planning that adopts the principles of both ‘Support (change) or/and Disrupt (continued offending) concept.

· Contribute to regular service reviews which include monitoring data, evaluations, intake and output policy, and practice and work load reviews for the whole service.

· Attend monthly case management meeting with the Service Manager .

· Attend clinical supervision.

· Take appropriate steps to protect where there is an imminent risk to another person.

Recording and administration

· Ensure that case files and records are accurate and complete, and are kept and in compliance with Data Protection Act requirements.

· To enter all the required information into the Drive project electronic case management system to enable tracking of service user change, multi-agency working and risk management.

· Weekly maintenance and accurate and secure audit trail of all relevant communication.

· Comply with the data protection and information sharing protocols that Drive has agreed to.

Direct work with service users

· Maintain a proactive response to service users, continuously providing positive options for behaviour change throughout the service users time in the Drive project

· Use combination of motivational work, relationship building and a broad range of therapeutic skills to engage service users to addressing their abusive behaviour

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Events and Communications Officer in our Smithills team to support the delivery of our Communications and Engagement program on Smithills Estate.

The Role: 
•    This will include responsibility for our busy events programme, creation of content for our social media channels, and administrative support for our wider people engagement and volunteering programme. This is to inspire people about the landscape of Smithills and facilitating a deeper connection with woods and trees.
•    Coordinate and deliver events and activities that provide visitors and local community groups with the opportunity to connect with the site and support the work of the Woodland Trust. This includes providing engaging experiences for schoolteachers, children, community groups, and the general public, with a focus on encouraging self-led activity going forward.
•    Operational delivery of events, including organising contractors, room bookings, and equipment; ensuring event site and contractors are compliant with health and safety requirements; event set-up and management on the day; and event volunteer coordination.
•    Building relationships with local schools, engaging with schools in high-importance areas, and combining the Green Tree School Award and Free Tree Packs. 
•    Establish more volunteer support and start a young volunteer team for ages 13 -17.
•    This is a fixed term contract until the end of January 2026, part time role (15 hours / 2 days per week).
