A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Special Events Officer on a six month contract to join the Fundraising team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual to join the busy Events team. You will be responsible for assisting the team with the management of existing events to maximise income including the Carol Concert and our Defence Industry Dinner. You will need to work to agreed budgets as well as input to the setting of financial targets. 2024 is a busy year for the Events team, presenting many opportunities to get involved with fast paced, exciting events.

The SSAFA Events team is a small team with a high output, both financially and in terms of number of events produced. We work closely together and thrive to deliver high quality, successful events.
About you
To carry out this role successfully experience in planning, developing, delivering and evaluating fundraising campaigns is essential and an understanding of the charity sector and ideally a background of working in charity events is desirable. You will be diligent, conscientious and have high attention to detail. In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to develop positive relationships with our supporters in order to manage and grow existing events and relationships.

You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

The Income Generation Coordinator will scope and track new and existing funding opportunities across the UK and actively seek funding for our pipeline of projects. Nacro deliver the Community Accommodation Support service (CAS) which is a national service across England and Wales. The service allows Courts to make greater use of bail by providing accommodation in the community with support for adult defendants who could not otherwise be bailed. CAS also provides support for adults released from Custody in the last three months of their sentence on Home Detention Curfew (HDC) and other Licence Orders.
The Team provides flexible and holistic support to Residents who have a wide range of support needs. We aim to support our Residents to find and keep a stable home at the end of their CAS-2 placement. You will manage a caseload of Residents and properties in your allocated area.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·Support clients to comply with the requirements of their HDC/Bail conditions.
·Producing a realistic and achievable Support Plan to include accessing and using housing and accommodation services to support move on to longer term accommodation.
·Ensure that all Support Plans and Risk Assessments are unique, inclusive and person-centred.
·Provide weekly support to Residents to engage with their support plan and contribute to the achievement of their objectives and aspirations.
·Support Residents to access Housing Benefit in the first instance to ensure that their tenancy is not put at risk with escalating rent arrears.
·Manage properties within your area of responsibility to ensure they are being maintained to Decent Homes Standard by reporting repairs, and replacing furniture and equipment are required.
·Undertake basic cleaning tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities

·Provide weekly support sessions (up to 2 hours per week) working with our Residents to achieve the goals identified on individual Support and Move On Plans.

·Liaise with Partner Agencies such as The Probation and Prison Services, Courts, and Police where necessary.

·Develop Move-on plans with Residents at the earliest opportunity, identifying realistic options for their future home.

The Criminal Justice IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process, specialising in working with women whose domestic abuse cases are going through the police and criminal justice system and risk to children is a factor. You will work to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. This role is part advocacy, part training/education and project work to improve response and early intervention to victim/survivors experiencing domestic abuse. You will be embedded in the community safety unit within the police, working with police professionals to ensure they adopt a trauma informed approach, can recognise the dynamics of domestic abuse and are providing more holistic support. You will be the domestic abuse subject matter expert on site, upskilling fellow professionals and acting as a point of contact for any clients experiencing domestic abuse and support requirements from police and court at every stage. Attend the weekly specialist domestic violence court in Westminster as a domestic abuse agency representative to obtain court outcomes, support efficient case progression and seeking opportunity to increase survivor safety at every stage of the court process.
The IMPACT project was established over 10 years ago and has been working in partnership in Hammersmith and Fulham aiming to improve integrated working between criminal justice agencies from the point of reporting an incident to court and beyond; to reduce attrition through earlier intervention and improved outcomes for victims/survivors and their children; and to hold more perpetrators to account through the justice system. The IDVAs will inherit strong working relationships and a commitment from all parties to offering more trauma-informed services. The borough has a focus on prioritising and developing good DA work in and this is an opportunity to be a major player in institutional change, ensuring that women accessing Family Children services for their children have an improved experience and that the local authorities are leading the way for all survivors engaging with their services.
Advance delivers nationally accredited, quality marked services in Hammersmith & Fulham, Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Brent, Ealing, and across parts of East London. We work within a coordinated partnership response to domestic violence to provide independent domestic violence advocacy and support for women, children and young people and women’s community services for women who are involved in the criminal justice system, in anti-social behaviour or are at risk of breaking the law.
About You:
You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse in various areas of need, with particular knowledge on children safeguarding/legislation. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, of supporting women with child safeguarding, needs, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.
To be successful as the Criminal Justice IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:
You will establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies.Provide high-quality crisis intervention, information, advocacy, and proactive support to women referred to the service, in respect to risk management and safety planning, criminal and civil remedies, housing, health, welfare rights, and children’s legislation.
Your abilities extends to assessing the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support and identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs.Advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies and proactively advocate to ensure barriers to accessing support and protection are reduced. You will work as an advocate and educator to raise awareness and upskill professionals within Children Social Care plus work with colleagues to successfully develop and deliver training.

Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Services, the Finance Officer will be responsible for providing financial administration and bookkeeping for the Trust and the trading subsidiary (Third Age Trust Trading Limited) TATTL. The role also plays a pivotal role in providing support and expertise to the finance team and wider staff body and finally, managing/reconciling the income streams for both Trust and TATTL. In addition, the post holder will liaise with the Trust CEO and Head of Internal Services to prepare the monthly payroll, liaise with the payroll agency, input monthly HMRC (NI/PAYE) payments to the bank and produce the VAT returns for the Trust and TATTL and will take a lead on completing the consolidated VAT return on a quarterly basis. You will also take responsibility for ensuring that expenses and invoices are compiled correctly ahead of time.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a similar position and have strong numeracy and analysis skills. AAT qualified or part qualified the ideal candidate will be comfortable with financial administration and will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail. Experience of processing VAT returns is not essential but desirable for this exciting opportunity. The right candidate will be highly organised with excellent time management skills and will have the ability to work to tight deadlines.

About you

About the Role
There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to grow our Fundraising team to the next level.
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team to deliver Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be strengthening our existing funding pipeline through prospects research and managing the donor database. They will also be responsible for drafting compelling applications and reports for new and existing donors. They will develop and adapt our fundraising resources and provide wider support to the team.
The Fundraising and Communications Officer will also be responsible for managing Learning with Parents external communications, including creating and posting engaging blogs and social media posts, drafting the Annual Impact Report and managing the organisation’s brand guidelines.
Lastly, the Fundraising and Communications Officer will provide logistical support for the Parental Engagement Forum.

Job purpose
The Safe Haven Deputy Manager’s role is to be part of the Safe Haven management team and jointly ensure effective delivery of high-quality service for adults experiencing mental health crisis in Oxfordshire. The postholder will be required to independently lead a safe and effective shift and offer crisis mental health support for people presenting in mental health crisis including assessing risks, facilitating re-focusing activities, and conducting one-to-one support sessions on the phone and face to face focusing on person-centred listening, grounding, safety planning and exploring coping strategies. The Deputy Manager will lead on shift handovers and provide support to staff on day-to-day activities as well as provide one-to-one supervision for their direct reports.
The team takes part in handovers, one to one supervision and complex case discussions to aid their ability to reflect, learn and support Safe Haven service users within the remit of the service.

convene the Alliance for Maternity Rights and the Maternity Entitlement Group to promote collaborative campaigning on employment rights and on charging for NHS maternity care.

About you
We are looking for an experienced Senior Employment and Social Security Policy Officer to
undertake policy analysis, campaigning and research on employment rights affecting
pregnant women and new parents, including maternity discrimination, precarious work,
health and safety, maternity and parental leave and flexible working.
You will be able to form relationships with Government, Trade Unions, business groups, Equality and Human Rights
Commission and voluntary sector organisations. Working with staff across the organisation
you will be able to communicate about employment policy effectively to a wide range of
audiences.
You will have an understanding of the social security system as it relates to pregnant women
and new parents, and an ability to analyse policy developments relating to the Department
for Work and Pensions.

About the role
As the Mental Health Hub Service Lead, you will collaborate with the Director of Children and Young People Services and Clinical Leads to drive the strategic growth and development of the organisation's services.
