We're looking for a Support Worker to join our friendly team. You will cover West Essex (Harlow, Epping & Uttlesford), playing a pivotal role in supporting unpaid family carers who look after someone due to their age, disability, long-term physical or mental health condition or an addiction. You will support carers to manage the practicalities related to their caring roles and navigate support systems, alongside maintaining their own wellbeing. You will provide carers with appropriate information, advice and guidance, from accessing benefits, peer support or respite breaks. You will mainly work in the community as well as from our offices or home.

About the role:
As an ISVA you will provide ongoing continuity, advocacy and impartial advice and information to all survivors accessing our service. You will be confident in offering advice such as reporting to the police, accessing Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) services, and specialist support such as pre-trial therapy and sexual violence counselling.
You will conduct risk assessments and analyse the specific needs of clients who have suffered sexual violence. Your expertise in this area will enable you to develop individual service plans that address these risks and needs. You will have a proven track record of working with high and complex caseloads and have demonstrated resilience in your professional life, enabling you to work effectively under pressure. You will have extensive experience working with vulnerable clients and possess the skills to maintain professional boundaries and promote empowerment to survivors, rather than fostering reliance on support. You will also be adept at working in a trauma-informed manner, acknowledging that trauma can impact individuals in different ways, and offering support with this as a priority. As an advocate for sexual violence survivors/victims, you will work to promote their confidence, resilience, and empowerment both within and outside of the criminal justice system.
You will provide non-therapeutic support to victims/survivors. This will be delivered face-to-face or via telephone, text and/or email based on the preferences of the client. To build links with services across West Yorkshire to ensure wrap-around support is available.
You will offer guidance and support to clients in navigating the criminal justice process while ensuring their rights are protected in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice. You will be able to explain legal, criminal, and civil remedies to clients as necessary. You will provide victims with access to resources and support to help them through the criminal justice process.

Summary

Data Services is part of the Central Services of the Church of England, providing statistical information, analysis, research and consultancy. The team works collaboratively with the National Church Institutions (NCIs), dioceses and parishes collecting and assembling data to support the Church's missional, pastoral and operational activities through high-quality information and analysis.
This functional area will drive some of the biggest changes across Data Services supporting the team with technical solutions to meet the vision. Key to this will be the automation of standard reporting packs providing data quickly in consistent, high-quality, informed analysis formats to those who need it. This will involve the development of tools to automate manual processes around research; and develop and produce quality outputs from People Systems data.
Core Responsibilities
- To lead a communication and influence project to maximise engagement throughout the church.
- To drive participation in multiple surveys and ensure the accurate input of diversity data into specified church systems (CDT, People System, Pathways, Ministry Development System).
- To develop a data collection strategy that ensures accurate and reliable data through data analysis, reporting and management.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including goals, timelines, and resource allocation, whilst managing budget and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
Other Key Requirements
- This is a one-year fixed-term contract.
- This is a hybrid role but also suitable for homeworking.
- Occasional visits to Church House - 2 days a month for face-to-face meetings.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs and working closely with colleagues across EngineeringUK and with our partners, you will be instrumental the delivery of our policy and public affairs programme and lead on key elements.
You will lead on policy projects and on developing organisational policy positions, producing reports and responses to government consultations (with a focus on education and skills) as well as our engagement with stakeholders, internally and externally, to achieve this. More about the role
As a skilled horse handler, rider, and trainer, the Adoptions Preparation Rider expertly manages horse cases within our on-site care, including rehoming and crisis care. You'll ensure high welfare standards and swiftly complete the assessment, training, and rehabilitation of horses preparing for new homes.
Each day, you'll handle, ride, and train various horses and ponies, collaborating with the Rehabilitation Trainer and Behaviour Advisor (RTBA) and the Adoptions Preparation Lead.
You'll be part of a team focused on optimising training and delivering excellent customer service to showcase and promote Blue Cross horses and ponies, enhancing their rehoming chances.
As the public face of Blue Cross, you'll prioritise customer service in every interaction. Your role is key in helping us achieve our mission and support more pets and horses.
At our Rolleston rehoming centre, we provide onsite accommodation for pets in our care 24/7. Overnight shifts are usually undertaken by team members who live on site. Occasionally, you will be expected to carry out night checks or stay in on site accommodation overnight when the resident team members are either not working or away for a period of time. These duties are organised on a local rota and shared between all members of the team.
This is a part time, 22.5 hours a week over three days working Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week.

About you
You are intuitive with horses, empathetic, and focused on welfare, having worked in similar environments. You assess horses' needs, recognise behavioral signs, and have knowledge of medications like hibiscrub and worming treatments. You understand that finding a new home quickly is the best welfare intervention.
As a confident and patient rider, you handle a variety of horses and ponies. Self-motivated and forward-thinking, you bring creative and pragmatic ideas to horse care. You quickly assimilate and accurately record information while engaging with clients and stakeholders. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills make you approachable and effective.
Experienced in emotionally charged environments, you have resilience and "bounce back ability." Your emotional intelligence, empathy, and support for clients and colleagues are key strengths.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
- Demonstrable experience of having previously worked or volunteered with horses or in a horse welfare environment.
- BHS stage 3, NVQ3 or equivalent professional experience
- Good communication skills
- A working knowledge of caring for a variety of field kept and stabled horses/ponies
- Experience of handling, riding and training a variety of different types of horses and ponies
- Experience of starting, riding and producing a variety of young horses
- Knowledge of basic horse veterinary procedures, common horse ailments and injuries
- Current full driving licence

Although not essential, it would be great if you also had:
- Qualification or similar experience in horse behaviour or animal training.

Additional Criteria for Success:
- Proven track record in securing 6 or 7 figure corporate partnerships
- Experience of working on Charity of the Year (COTY), strategic, commercial and foundation partnerships.
- Experience of winning new business across a range of income streams, including Charity of the Year, CRM and sponsorship.
- Evidence of writing proposals, delivering pitches and winning corporate partnerships with a £100k+ value.
- Experience of identifying, prospecting and securing commercial relationships with corporate organisations in a charitable and / or commercial setting.

As a skilled horse handler, rider, and trainer, the Adoptions Preparation Rider expertly manages horse cases within our on-site care, including rehoming and crisis care. You'll ensure high welfare standards and swiftly complete the assessment, training, and rehabilitation of horses preparing for new homes.
Each day, you'll handle, ride, and train various horses and ponies, collaborating with the Rehabilitation Trainer and Behaviour Advisor (RTBA) and the Adoptions Preparation Lead.
You'll be part of a team focused on optimising training and delivering excellent customer service to showcase and promote Blue Cross horses and ponies, enhancing their rehoming chances.
As the public face of Blue Cross, you'll prioritise customer service in every interaction. Your role is key in helping us achieve our mission and support more pets and horses.
At our Burford rehoming centre, we provide onsite accommodation for pets in our care 24/7. Overnight shifts are usually undertaken by team members who live on site. Occasionally, you will be expected to carry out night checks or stay in on site accommodation overnight when the resident team members are either not working or away for a period of time. These duties are organised on a local rota and shared between all members of the team.
This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours over three days on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays each week.

About you
You are intuitive with horses, empathetic, and focused on welfare, having worked in similar environments. You assess horses' needs, recognise behavioral signs, and have knowledge of medications like hibiscrub and worming treatments. You understand that finding a new home quickly is the best welfare intervention.
As a confident and patient rider, you handle a variety of horses and ponies. Self-motivated and forward-thinking, you bring creative and pragmatic ideas to horse care. You quickly assimilate and accurately record information while engaging with clients and stakeholders. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills make you approachable and effective.
Experienced in emotionally charged environments, you have resilience and "bounce back ability." Your emotional intelligence, empathy, and support for clients and colleagues are key strengths.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
- Demonstrable experience of having previously worked or volunteered with horses or in a horse welfare environment.
- BHS stage 3, NVQ3 or equivalent professional experience
- Good communication skills
- A working knowledge of caring for a variety of field kept and stabled horses/ponies
- Experience of handling, riding and training a variety of different types of horses and ponies
- Experience of starting, riding and producing a variety of young horses
- Knowledge of basic horse veterinary procedures, common horse ailments and injuries
- Current full driving licence
- The ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our Blue Cross values.
Although not essential, it would be great if you also had:
- Qualification or similar experience in horse behaviour or animal training.
- Previous experience in working in a customer focused environment and used to achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Understanding of safeguarding issues.
- Practical application behavioural science and learning theory when training horses

Street Paws is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 2016 with the aim of providing free and accessible veterinary care and support services to pets of homeless people in the UK. We strive to bridge the gap between animal and human welfare services. Ensuring that pets are not left behind in the fight against homelessness.
Demand for our services is ever growing due to the impacts of cuts to public funding, rising private rents, limited social housing and cuts to housing benefit. Research has shown that many owners have been asked to give up their pet in order to get accommodation. Homeless people will rarely agree to go into a hostel without their pet choosing instead to remain in extreme vulnerability and depravation on the streets.
Role Summary
This is a new position at Street Paws which has been created to support ongoing projects in the Greater Manchester region. The role involves assisting the Operations Manager in expanding current projects, such as incorporating hostels into our Dog Champion Scheme and developing the new volunteering scheme nationally. Responsibilities include recruiting volunteers and fostering positive relationships to enhance the volunteer experience, providing support and guidance, networking and developing relationshipes with current and new stakeholders and attendance at regular meetings across the Greater Manchester area.
Role Description
Based in the Greater Manchester area, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager with the delivery, administration, and support of Street Paws’ work nationally. The role will support the onboarding of new partners and the management of existing partners, including suppliers and contacts. They will be a point of contact for internal and external enquiries.
The Project Coordinator will support and develop our new volunteer programme, including recruitment and retention of volunteers, volunteer inductions, and training. Street Paws is a small team, and as such, we expect people to be highly flexible in their roles and willing to turn their hand to anything that needs to be done.
Responsibilities
- Promote the charity’s work nationally.
- Respond to internal and external enquiries regarding the charity’s projects and services.
- Actively seek out, develop, and maintain partnerships to strengthen the charity’s projects.
- Ensure each onboarded partner is aware of our services.
- Support the Operations Manager in the expansion of the charity’s projects to new partners and areas.
- Support the Operations Manager with the onboarding of hostels.
- Lead on the development of our volunteer programme.

About the Role
The Corporate Partnerships Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of all corporate partnership contracts and activities, effectively and efficiently, to maximise the benefit of both the corporate partner and the RIBA.

We provide safe homes, mentoring, and support to ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBT (National Scoping of LGBT Youth Homelessness, akt, 2015) and 78% of LGBTQ+ young people cited an absence of family support (The LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness Report, akt, 2021). The charity was founded in 1989 and operates service centres in London, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol and works online through a Digital Service to offer support to young people outside of our four office regions. akt works with over 800 vulnerable young people a year providing both face to face and online assistance.
Job Summary
The role will involve the provision of youth engagement activities to a diverse range of LGBTQ+ young people aged 16-25 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or living in a hostile environment. Our focus is in maintaining our ability to provide the highest service possible, giving our young people the opportunities to access peer support, community engagement and life skills. Overall, we aim to support LGBTQ+ young people into safe accommodation and work or education and prevent them from becoming homeless again in the future.
Key Tasks:
- Work as part of the Youth Engagement team to engage LGBTQ+ youth in a programme of meaningful activities designed to promote wellbeing and support young people to meet their personal goals.
- Make sure young people are meaningfully engaged in the co-creation of akt’s services and projects.
- With the support of the Youth Engagement Manager develop, manage, and grow akt’s LGBTQ+ youth work programme in London.
- Facilitate group work and peer support sessions and complete risk assessments.
- Support the London Services drop-in session.
- Develop and grow our programme of LGBTQ+ national and regional youth events.
- Work with young people and colleagues to explore the potential for national/regional trans youth events and activities.
- Support young people to be involved with the development and creation of an ever-growing collection of online/practical resources and videos to provide advice, support and reassurance to LGBTQ+ young people, on issues and topics that matter to them most, in conjunction with Digital Services and Marcomms Teams.
- Support fundraising and business development activities in relation to the growth of our youth work and youth engagement work.
- Support young people with opportunities to be involved in participation events.
- Support the Youth Engagement Manager to engage young people in research opportunities and sharing experiences to shape best practice for external partner agencies.
- Engage with external providers on intersectionality to ensure groups are inclusive and accessible at the service.
- Support the planning and delivery of national events for young people.
- Support youth engagement activities in other cities as required.
- Be a responsible First Aider (training will be provided).

SharePoint Migration Support Engineer

We are working with a small, community-focused non-profit organisation in the Midlands to recruit for a SharePoint Migration Support Engineer on a 3-month day rate contract.
The organisation is currently accessing their network via Citrix, and they are embarking on an exciting migration to a cloud environment, using SharePoint. This post will be assisting the IT Engineer in migrating servers on-prem to cloud, as well as enrolling staff and laptops into the Azure and M365 environment.
Rate: £180 per day inside IR35 (umbrella)
Location: Birmingham
Duration: 3 months
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the IT Engineer with the SharePoint migration
- Following documentation and processes in place and adhering to SLAs
- Enrolling users to Azure and M365 environments
- Dealing with any troubleshooting issues or queries
- Arranging laptop and equipment handover with users
The successful candidate will have:
- Good experience with M365 technologies, ideally SharePoint
- Ideally supported migration projects, including but not limited to transferring data and setting up users
- Strong customer service skills
