We’re looking for a Freedom Volunteer Coordinator, who will be responsible for recruiting and supporting our volunteer foster carers, who play a critical role in helping people find freedom from domestic abuse.
About this role:
As Freedom Volunteer Coordinator, you will:
- recruit volunteer foster carers for the project, including handling queries from prospective volunteers, ensuring documentation is completed and supporting with training and induction,
- help with volunteer recruitment, such as attending recruitment events and supporting with virtual recruitment campaigns,
- support with ongoing management and retention of volunteer fosters, working with regional managers to ensure volunteering standards are maintained, and volunteers are recognised for their important contribution to our work,
- write regular communications to volunteers, including designing and producing promotional materials of the project.
This role is being offered as a fixed term contract for six months.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some experience of working with volunteers in previous role, ideally with experience of recruiting, inducting, and managing them. You’ll also need experience of home visiting and working in a public facing role, combined with a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills. Critically, this role requires an understanding of domestic abuse, and it’s impact on pet ownership, as well as the emotional resilience to manage the emotional demands of the role.

The Outreach team runs several projects supporting pet owners who are homeless or in housing crisis in the UK, including Freedom, a pet fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse. Most referrals come from women fleeing domestic abuse via women-only services. The service places dogs into volunteer foster homes on a temporary basis until their owners are able to be reunited with them. The Freedom Project runs in Greater London and the Home Counties, Yorkshire, the North East, the North West, East Anglia, Scotland, Wales, and Hampshire.

Purpose of the role
We are looking for a creative, organised, and disciplined person to take on a key role within our rapidly expanding organisation. As the Communications and Digital Officer, you will be central in the implementation of Black Thrive Global’s communications strategy. You will be supporting our Communications Manager in the delivery of all aspects of communications and marketing activity with both key stakeholders and the public.
You will help to support the creation of a compelling and consistent narrative about the work that Black Thrive Global does across all our communication channels. You will be integral in helping to disseminate key messaging for core projects and work-streams working closely with our internal teams and external partners. Black Thrive Global’s communication approach aims to be both reactive and proactive, and you will be expected to be well informed about events and trends in the media and public arena.
Duties and responsibilities
- Produce compelling and engaging content for internal and external blog posts, newsletters, and digital content across our communication channels.
- Produce in-house design for publications and promotional materials and social media assets as required.
- Lead on delivery and scheduling of the Communications Calendar, this will include horizon scanning of the news agenda as well as regular yearly campaigns i.e., Disability Week, Refugee Month, International Day of the Girl, LGBTQIA+ etc.
- Deliver and implement our social media strategy across our various platforms.

Position Overview:
Football Beyond Borders is seeking a Senior Impact and Evaluation Manager to lead our approach to impact management, evaluation, and data systems development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that FBB continues to be a sector leader in impact: driving high-quality data collection, impact management processes, and internal and external evaluations. You will work closely with our leadership team, practitioners, and external evaluators to shape our evidence-based approach, improve our practice, and communicate our impact story to a wide range of stakeholders.
Data Management and Systems Oversight:

Lead the management and development of FBB’s data systems to ensure high-quality data collection on young people’s demographics, session attendance, and outcomes at scale.

Development of dashboards and tools to provide accessible, actionable insights for staff decision-making across the organisation.

Design, implement, and manage data collection processes, ensuring accurate data completion by practitioners working with young people and schools.

Collaborate with the Programmes Team to meet data input targets and continuously improve data quality and accessibility.

Upskill practitioners and managers on data collection and interpretation, providing training and support to drive high standards across the organisation.
- Impact Management:

Regularly assess and report on impact performance, sharing insights with internal and external stakeholders, including the CEO, Board, and senior managers.

Publish annual impact reports and conduct half-termly evaluations to inform strategic and tactical decision-making.

Facilitate meetings with senior managers to identify gaps in practice and support the development of actionable next steps.
Internal Evaluations:

Design and implement robust evaluation frameworks to systematically collect and analyse data on our impact.

Lead internal evaluation efforts to assess and enhance the effectiveness of FBB’s programmes, informing decisions on future initiatives and pilots.

Facilitate spaces to draw qualitative insights and drive decision-making based on evaluation outcomes, driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

Supporting our Programmes and Fundraising Team with their impact reporting, ensuring that they have access to the information they need for different audiences to clearly communicate our impact story and insights.
External Evaluations:

Contribute to FBB’s Feasibility and Pilot Study to develop a promising and replicable intervention based on existing evidence and delivery learning, facilitating the finalisation of the intervention design and creating a scalable specification for pilot delivery ahead of a full Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT).

Scope and manage external evaluations and research partnerships to evaluate the impact of FBB’s approach, working with partners such as FFT Education DataLab, Pro Bono Economics, University of Manchester, and ImpactEd.

Collaborate with external evaluators to establish control groups and improve the evaluation of FBB’s impact, ensuring robust, evidence-based assessments.
Quality Assurance:

Develop tools and processes to report on FBB’s quality assurance, ensuring that our work meets the highest standards of practice.

Support managers in implementing quality assurance processes, including regular practitioner observations and feedback loops to inform programme design and delivery.
Key skills:

The key responsibilities we entrust you with
Innovation Fund administration
- Provide administrative support for day-to-day operations of the Innovations Fund
- Implement project processes, including preparing and finalising contracts, coordinating payments, and maintaining project-related systems (e.g., tracking deliverables, activities, and invoices and expenditures)
- Coordinate project and grantee meeting logistics and agenda preparation; take notes and track and implement follow up actions
- Monitor grantee compliance with reporting requirements and communication guidelines, reporting issues and coordinating appropriate follow up action
- Support organisation and delivery of community events
Learning and Communication activities
- Carry out analysis of grant project data and progress
- Contribute to monitoring and learning activities, and keep records on appropriate systems

About the role
We are looking for a flexible and motivated individual to act as Governance and Executive Support Officer. The role will primarily support the Governance and Executive Support Manager and the Executive Team to ensure smooth running of the Trident Board and wider Association business including corporate governance and performance reporting processes.

About You

The Analysis, Insights & Selections team plays a crucial role in supporting the charity's fundraising efforts. We collaborate across the entire Fundraising department to develop and implement an integrated strategy that prioritizes our supporters. This strategy will be driven by data and insights.
Data and insights are essential for guiding decision-making within both Fundraising and the wider Marie Curie organization. The Data Analyst position is a key part of this team, providing vital analysis and reporting to the Fundraising Directorate.
In this role, the Data Analyst will focus heavily on tactical and day-to-day activities, such as maintaining and enhancing existing Power BI reports, creating new ones, running and updating regular reports, and assisting with new insight requests. Advanced Excel skills are required, along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and techniques.
Key Criteria:
Excellent IT skills, including a good working knowledge in database modelling, analysis development and implementation
Experience of working with medium to large fundraising marketing database such as Advanced CARE
Good knowledge of Faststats, PeopleStage and SQL and of producing data selections to maximise returns
Ability to manage own time and prioritise to deliver results within agreed timescales
Has the ability to work effectively under pressure
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at different levels in a professional manner.
