Caseworker (North West)
Job Role:
Forces Employment Charity delivers a specialist programme to support veterans in the Justice System who may be vulnerable, socially isolated, or need support to live or maintain a law-abiding life.
The Caseworker will manage and support a caseload of vulnerable veterans in your allocated region. As an integral and highly valued member of the team, the caseworker will provide peer support and practical assistance to colleagues and people using the service.
This position is full-time, 35 hours per week with a salary of £29,000. This role is peripatetic in nature - it involves regular travel across the operating region (North West, Greater Manchester area with additional travel as required to Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside) and working from home when not out in the community.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Contact all clients within 48 hours of allocation.
- Undertake needs assessments and develop a care coordination support plan within 5 days of allocation.
- Carry out an assessment using the Outcome Star, understand and record Employment and Housing status, and other assessments as required by the Regional Manager.
- Review Outcome Star assessments at 3 monthly intervals to understand and demonstrate progress.
- Produce written reports when requested highlighting support given to clients and level of engagement.
- To participate and deliver presentations, making use of the media available, to statutory and non-statutory agencies as required.
- Deliver emotional and practical support to veterans working with partner organisations to provide specialist support for everyone.
- Liaise with other FEC Employment Advisors to provide employment support
- Ensure that all activity is recorded on the Salesforce case management system (CMS).
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Competencies:
- Able to work with individuals with complex needs and cope with the rigors that arise from working with veterans in the justice system.
- Highly organised with IT skills and experience of using Case Management Systems, Microsoft packages and outlook
- Commitment to working with each client without prejudice and in an equitable manner, including those who are arrested for violent or sexual offences.
- Experience working with people using a mentoring or coaching approach to engage and support the individuals we work with to change their lives.
- Experience in soft skills: Public speaking, presentations, relationship building, and time management
Desirable Competencies:
- Salesforce case management system experience, this training will be provided for the successful candidate if they are not already trained.
- A working knowledge of the Justice system and experience of working with offenders or ex-offenders.
- Experience of serving in the Armed Forces, Police or Probation Service
Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Non Police Personal Vetting level 2 (NPPV2), been a resident in the UK for over 5 years and an Enhanced DBS clearance. The job offer will be subject to a successful NPPV 2 and DBS enhanced.

Catch22 are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Service Manager for our West Mercia Child Exploitation Service.
This role has responsibility for the strategic development and operational management of Catch22’s Integrated Child Exploitation Service funded by the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner.
Integrated Child Exploitation Service A specialist prevention and support service for children, young people under 18 and their families who are at risk of, currently experiencing or has been impacted by Child Criminal or Child Sexual Exploitation across the West Mercia region. The service will consist of four teams located in Worcestershire, Telford and Wrekin, Herefordshire & Shropshire.
The role will also support the development of the Young People and Families (YPF) Hub and the implementation of learning and development, performance and impact, business development and wider work streams as required. The SSM will work with the YPF SMT and will take a lead role in implementing our YPF strategy in this area.
The role can be home based, but time spent in each of the services alongside travel across the UK will be required to support delivery and growth of services across the Hub. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering and managing similar services, the right mix of leadership, passion and energy, and an innovative nature. A proven track record in engaging with positive relationships with commissioners and securing new business is essential. The role will involve promoting, connecting and building services in order to impact the lives of vulnerable young people with complex needs
Some of your day-to-day tasks will be:

About the Role
This exciting new role provides an excellent opportunity to help shape and deliver our approach to fundraising, helping to ensure that St Nicks can continue our vital work in supporting planet, people and nature. The Community Forest Trust (CFT) is a charity that supports, enables and champions England’s Community Forests (ECFs). Across England there are 15 Community Forests that deliver social, economic, and environmental impact through woodland creation and restoration. In 2024/2025 they will plant over 2.5 million trees, most of which are funded through Defra’s national tree planting programme, the Nature for Climate Fund Programme.
The Managing Director will have the drive, rigour, and organisational and stakeholder management skills to develop and deliver a new CFT Business Plan. The current Business Plan was developed in 2022 and runs to March 2025. It has now been delivered.
The Managing Director will be responsible for providing the overall leadership and management of CFT and ensure effective governance and compliance with all legal requirements. To fulfil this aim, the Managing Director must ensure that robust structures and systems are in place to deliver CFT’s strategic priorities and CFT’s charitable aims and objectives.

- Take ownership of delivering the future direction and shape of CFT and deliver the CFT vision

- Support identified Causeway media spokespeople in preparing for press and media interviews through thorough and accurate briefings and act as a media spokesperson when required.
- Track relevant daily news stories to our impact areas, responding to trends, key industry announcements and maximizing opportunities.
- Line manage and coach a small but effective team of communications, marketing, and content production staff
- Ensure the CEO and board of trustees are provided with quarterly reports on department progress.
- Play an active role in the senior management team and maintain an effective working relationship with your peers and colleagues, to ensure the work of the Communications and Engagement department aligns with organisational and departmental goals, strategy, and actions.

Your Role in Our Vision
The Legacy and In Memory Manager will lead the charge in raising awareness and growing vital income streams through gifts in Wills and in-memory giving. With an annual portfolio worth over £40m, you'll play a key role in driving change to make legacy giving a normal, everyday way to give. Working with the wider sector through Remember a Charity, you'll help shape the future of fundraising in the UK and across Marie Curie.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Own the Legacy Product: Take the reins on driving growth and innovation for legacy and in-memory giving. Collaborate across teams to refine processes, own legacy and in memory giving, and develop fresh, impactful creative campaigns. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, media agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead Campaigns: Be at the forefront of high-profile TV-led campaigns aimed at attracting legacy supporters. Craft tailored experiences for audiences, optimise data flows, and constantly improve performance to drive growth and engagement.
- Inspire Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of six, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration. Inspire and support your team to achieve the best results while embodying the organisation's values.
- Master the Budget: Oversee a £2.5m budget to help secure over £40m in legacy income. Track financial trends, create forecasts, and provide insightful analysis to support growth.
- Ensure Compliance: Lead the charge in ensuring all operations comply with fundraising regulations, providing expert guidance to keep things running smoothly.

About the role
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our financial services team who will support SEA in its mission to raise awareness of economic abuse and transform responses to it, within the financial services sector. You will be a subject matter expert on customer vulnerability and financial services firms’ regulatory requirements to support them, as well as having a thorough understanding of industry rules and best practice. You will combine this with SEA’s expertise on economic abuse to ensure this is embedded within financial services’ firms’ responses to victim-survivors.
About you
You will have previous experience of working in financial services, focusing on vulnerable customer strategy, policy, customer experience, or customer risk. You have an understanding of financial services products and services, and are able to provide advice and support on complex issues, such as safeguarding, risk and compliance.
You have experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders, managing client relationships and/or delivering consultancy. Your strong analytical skills will identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in firms' processes.
Your knowledge and insight will support SEA’s broader industry policy influencing.

The University of Manchester Students’ Union are looking for a new Financial Wellbeing Manager to join an exciting new team and project designed to support student’s in meeting their basic needs.
The Financial Wellbeing Manager will be joining the organisation at an exciting time, as we look to establish a brand-new Basic Needs Centre to support students in meeting their basic needs. They’ll be responsible for the design and implementation of a new financial education and support offering as part of the new Basic Needs team, supporting students with issues relating to key issues like food, housing, and finance.
As Financial Wellbeing Manager, you’ll support students to improve their financial literacy, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to better manage their finances, and ensure that they are well-informed about the support available to them. With an increasing cost-of-living, rising student rents, and wider financial challenges on the horizon, the Financial Wellbeing Manager will need to be proactive and adaptable as we aim to prevent students from reaching a financial crisis.
As this is a new and evolving project, there is a great deal of opportunity to develop the role and the financial support offering within the Basic Needs Centre.
Rate of pay: £13.81 to £14.01 per hour (inclusive of night allowance)
Part-time 24 hours (2 shifts over 7 days) is available. Our nights shifts run from 8:00pm to 8:00am, including weekends and bank holidays.
