Purpose of Role: 

Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new supporters who respond to our fundraising activities by phone, email, letter or in person, letter, or email delivering outstanding supporter care
• Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail with excellent customer care
• Priority is to answer incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to Supporter Care Manager
• Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
• Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
• Be responsible for thanking our supporters including by letter, email and phone, despatch of information and fundraising materials
• Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
• Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date this will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
• Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
• Manage removal process and consent process
• Assist with sending out problem payment letters
• Assist with handling material requests and recording actions on Database
• Assist with any third-party agency supporter care requests
• Maintain sensitive information and records with appropriate confidentiality
• Play an active role in developing the supporter journey at Operation Smile UK, working with the Supporter Care Manager, Head of Supporter Care & Database, and colleagues across Fundraising & Communications.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Supporter Care Manager or Head of Supporter Care & Database.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

• Excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders
• Written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent phone manner
• Strong eye for detail, methodical and accurate (critical that the database and supporter details at 100% accurate)
• Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).
• Attitude of continuous improvement, and lifelong learning.
• At least two years’ experience in a junior supporter care or administrative role
• Experience of donation or financial administration and working in a direct marketing environment or supporter care environment desirable with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent proficiency with CRM systems (Ideally Raiser’s Edge) and the ability to learn new systems and processes.
• Experience of outward facing donor stewardship, and relationship building.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and possess problem solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Can work on own initiative and be able to show initiative.

Community and Engagement Manager

Position: Community and Engagement Manager

Location: Teddington, TW11 8HT

Salary Range (depending on experience): pro rata of £32,910 – £38,745 incl. OLW

Hours: Part-time 21 hours per week. We are able to offer some flexibility with the role such as term time only or flexibility with days/times.

Richmond AID is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person who will support our vision of putting Deaf and Disabled people at the centre of everything we do. This multidisciplinary team currently has 6 direct reports and services include: BuddyUp, Spade gardening service, Mental Health Peer Support service, Connect to Tech digital training, Campaigning and our wide range of peer group activities.  There is a variety of skills and experience which will require someone to We are looking for someone to not just manage these services, but to lead their development and widen our coverage across the borough of Richmond. This will predominantly involve supporting the people involved to be leaders of their own projects, developing/modernising our delivery model, ensuring projects meet targets and quality standards and when required also being involved in supporting direct service delivery.

You will have strong influencing skills, and will have the right blend and balance of people skills with excellent communication and project management abilities. You must be comfortable connecting with the wider community, able to listen, gather the views of local people, and feed these back into our wider programme of work. You’ll be confident in participative strategies and tools such as facilitating groups, arranging events, developing surveys, gathering views and responding to consultations.

You will have experience of managing a team covering a wide range of projects and interests. You will know what it takes to set up and manage a project and ensure it meets the intended outcomes.

You will be skilled in managing group dynamics and supporting your team to have boundaries with clients. You will also have experience of managing Safeguarding issues. Above all you must bring a positive, solution focused attitude.

Experience of campaigning work, with a track record of delivering innovative digital campaigns that have led to real change, would be an advantage.

About Richmond AID

Richmond AID offers 25 days annual leave plus eight bank holidays pro rata. Normal office hours are 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays. About the role

Our Surrey Volunteer Recruitment Manager (VRM), who must be based in or very close to Surrey, works closely with VRMs in Herts and London and our marketing team to promote the MCR programme to organisations and individuals.  The purpose is to recruit committed volunteers who will mentor a young person in their school for one hour a week during term time. Based from home, our VRMs work closely with the wider MCR team ensuring a balance of autonomy and support. Travel to meetings, events and the Hertfordshire office are all reimbursed.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Major Gifts fundraiser to join the successful Development team at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew as Senior Development Manager, Major Gifts on a 12-month fixed term maternity cover contract. The role works as a key strategic partner to the Associate Director, Major Gifts & Individual Giving and leads the Major Gifts team of two Development Managers to ensure long-term growth of income from major donors and management of the overall Major Gifts pipeline. Fowler’s Syndrome UK (Registered Charity number 1196903) is a unique patient and clinician led charity that works to raise awareness, promote education and encourage research into the debilitating bladder condition Fowler’s Syndrome. The condition solely affects women and Fowler’s Syndrome UK (FSUK) is the only charity in the world to directly support women with this condition.

Fowler’s syndrome is a life changing and currently almost untreatable condition, affecting up to 20,000 women in the UK. It  causes full or partial urinary retention and solely affects women*, meaning they have problems passing urine due to a difficulty in relaxing the urinary sphincter. The peak age of onset is 26. It was first described by Professor Clare Fowler, Emeritus professor of Uro-Neurology at UCLh, and FSUK’s patron, in 1985.

We estimate that there are in excess of 20,000 women in the UK suffering from, but not necessarily diagnosed with, the condition, because of the lack of knowledge about Fowler’s Syndrome both from a patient and clinician perspective.

85% of women with Fowler’s Syndrome say the condition has had a severe or devastating impact on their life.

75% of those with FS have been told their urinary symptoms are due to anxiety or ‘all in their head’

There is low awareness of the condition among the medical community outside of specialist hospitals. Only an estimated 30% of GPs are aware of Fowler’s Syndrome. Once diagnosed, there are few resources available for patients and limited treatment options. Many women feel alone and unsupported.

Our mission is to provide resources, promote education and facilitate research into Fowler’s syndrome; so women with the condition have stigma free access to a timely diagnosis, suitable and effective treatment options, care and psychological support.

The Role: Administrator

The administrator’s role is to support the CEO in the daily management of the charity. This will include administration, delivering resources, comms including social media and website, outreach and events, fundraising and research. It will also include supporting the CEO and Patient Liaison with seminars and conferences, and support groups.

Administration: Support the CEO and the Finance and Governance lead with daily activities, including but not limited to grant applications, basic finance administration, project management, project delivery, database management, office management. Objective: Improve efficiency and quality of the charity’s management

Resources: Supporting the CEO and working to deliver first class resources.  Working with the CEO and Patient Liaison to efficiently and effectively run the roll out of our resources, following the CEO’s guidelines and the charity’s mission and vision. This will include Healthcare professional (HCP) leaflets, Patient leaflets, a catheter support series, mental health support series, Pain management support from pharmacists and Physiotherapist led sessions. This will also include management of zoom and in person groups,  dissemination of information on studies and surveys.

Comms:  Manage the patient database including GDPR, manage newsletters, PR, website. Manage FSUK’s social media, with direction from the CEO. Daily posts plus responding to queries and signposting. Social media partnerships. Monthly email to database. Basic updates to website

Outreach and events: Drive awareness of FSUK in the local community and beyond Work with CEO to manage merchandising, registration, setup, logistics of events. Find, plan and represent FSUK at events. Manage yearly even calendar. Working with the CEO and administrator to plan, organise and run events, including transformative one-day seminar for healthcare professionals and a two-day seminar for FSUK users and clinicians.

Fundraising: Help the CEO and Patient liaison with fundraising, both on an individual and trust basis.

Community led research: Assist the CEO in creating patient led community research.

Research: Assist the CEO and work with the Patient Liaison in creating and conducting research. Including Patient perspectives input into consensus guidelines for non-surgical management, Dr. Ingrid Hoeritzauer, Patient experiences with sacral neuromodulation, Dr. Caroline Selai, Awareness of FS among UK urology community, Prof Jalesh Panicker via University Cambridge, Physiotherapy treatment experiences with FS and CIUR, Dr. Ingrid Hoeritzauer. Our research will help enable women to receive the support they need and fulfil their potential, offering quicker diagnosis and better treatments and enabling our community to thrive.

There may be occasions where staff are required to work out of hours or support at events, including wish related activities such as our annual wish family Christmas party or wish community events, cheering runners at the London marathon or working at our annual fundraising gala. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our well-established Homeline befriending project as a brand-new Dementia Coordinator. The aim of this role will be to set up, coordinate and develop a range of dementia support for isolated and lonely 60+ residents of Hammersmith and Fulham living with dementia and their carers. 

Specifically, the Dementia Coordinator will: 

• Head up a new dementia information hub within The Creighton Centre. This will involve coordinating a Dementia information and advice service, partnering with dementia health care professionals to deliver advice, signposting and referrals to people living with Dementia and their carers. 

• Network and develop strong links with local cross sector dementia services. 

• Develop additional inclusive activities to complement existing Homeline activities e.g. dance therapy, gardening club. 

• Promote new dementia volunteer roles and support Homeline Volunteer Coordinator to recruit team of 15 Dementia Ambassadors, and up to 50 Dementia home befrienders. 

• Coordinate dementia training and ongoing support of volunteer ambassadors/volunteers. 

• Coordinate up to 30 dementia home and care home befriending matches within year 1 (up to 50 annually for year 2 and 3), with a focus on meaningful sensory activities and keeping active.

THE ROLE

As our first Fundraising Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to shape our fundraising strategy, with a particular emphasis on creativity and innovation. You’ll help us nurture our current donors and find creative ways to generate income from diverse revenue streams, so we can can continue to innovate as we develop our vital support to young people and grow our impact.

HOW CAN YOU HELP APART OF ME?

• Develop and regularly refresh our fundraising strategy and roadmap.
• Identify and nuture potential new partnerships and funding opportunities, building and implementing our corporate partnership strategy.
• Encourage private and corporate donations by collaborating with Marketing to create engaging and compelling content and collateral promoting Apart of Me.
• Lead on community fundraising efforts and other fundraising events.
• Write, review and submit grant applications ensuring guidelines are met.
• Coordinate and run the day-to-day activities of the fundraising team including leading, developing and motivating a team of volunteers.
• Monitor and track the progress and success rates of the fundraising efforts.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING? 

• Knowledge of fundraising and bid writing principles, techniques and best practices.
• Demonstrable track record in achieving income targets through fundraising.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to self-motivate, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
• Resourceful and a creative thinker - able to seek solutions to problems and come up with viable recommendations.
• Team leadership expertise; able to lead a remote team in an authentic and empathetic manner and motivate to achieve financial goals.
• Good understanding of budgeting for fundraising.

Your Role at Norwood:

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with learning disabilities and autism to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include:

Martingale exists to fund and support the next generation of STEM leaders. As the Foundation prepares to recruit its third cohort of Scholars, we need an organised and proactive individual to take on the administrative work needed to support our growth.

You will work closely with the Head of Strategy and Operations on a day-to-day basis to ensure the Foundation’s operational functions run smoothly. Your role will include minuting meetings, diary management, booking travel and accommodation for the team, applicants and Scholars, and overseeing expenses claims for applicants and Scholars. Your role will include regular travel to accompany Martingale’s CEO on partnership meetings, as well as supporting assessment centres across the UK.

As a Community Fundraiser, with expert relationship building skills, you’ll be responsible for engaging with current and potential new supporters within this area to generate leads to raise funds for the charity. 

We are delighted to be offering a full time role in the East & Highlands of Scotland.

This position is home based and you will be required to travel across the East of Scotland and the Highlands.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver ambitious local fundraising plans and budgets to maximise local support, provide exceptional stewardship and achieve financial targets in line with the community fundraising strategy. 

• Actively support, motivate and manage a portfolio of individual supporters to fundraise for Parkinson’s UK, ensuring opportunities realise their full potential and key supporters are retained.

• Lead on the development and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising activities such as local delivery of the Walk for Parkinson’s event series.

• Lead in developing all streams of local fundraising in allocated areas, including community support, local corporate activity and collaborating with central teams.

What you’ll bring:

• Demonstrable experience of general fundraising principles and at least two of the following fundraising disciplines: community, events, corporate and major donors. 

• Experience of setting and effectively managing budgets to achieve agreed targets. 

• The ability to identify and maximise on opportunities to grow and develop income. 

• Experience of project work and building strong relationships internally that promote a one team ethos. 

• Experience of networking and finding new opportunities to pursue to grow a strong pipeline of income and supporters for year on year growth.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join as a Senior Central Neutering Manger to lead and identify continuous improvement for our subsidised neutering delivery across UK. This role is 35 hours per week  on a 9-month fixed term contract and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £48,444 per annum plus excellent benefits.

Responsibilities of our Senior Central Neutering Manger:

As the Senior Neutering Support and Finance Manager you will lead the team for effective working through continuous improvement and efficiencies for process and resource across the teams. This includes line management of the Neutering Manager and Data officer. You will work with colleagues to shape and manage the future planned delivery of the neutering programme for sustainability. Working within budgeted costs for voucher allocation and forecasting.
