We are an award-winning local charity that provides specialist care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families across Berkshire and into surrounding counties.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to join our team and who will help us build on our charity’s established reputation. You will lead on the delivery of a marketing and communications strategy that will engage and champion our brand to all our key audiences, internally and externally, in a consistent manner via a number of mediums and platforms.

You will bring creativity, energy, and passion to this role, with responsibility for delivering high-quality marketing assets that will bring our vital work to life in an inspiring way to help grow awareness and increase vital income.

The successful candidate will need to have experience across various areas: PR and brand management, report writing and developing case studies.

The role is based at our state-of-the-art children’s hospice just outside Maidenhead.

Summary

The Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership was set up in 2017 with the mission to 'develop inspirational leaders who are called, connected, committed to deliver the Church of England vision for education'. Since then, it has operated a wide range of leadership development programmes, networks, research, conference and events, and published a range of key leadership resources to equip school leaders at every level to put their vision into practice.

Part of this provision has been as a very successful national provider of NPQ programmes. Beginning in 2017 with the delivery of NPQs for Headteachers, our suite of programmes has now expanded to include programmes for Specialist Teachers, Senior Leaders and also Executive Leaders. More recently, a partnership between the Church of England and the Catholic Education Service is also enabling programmes to be delivered more widely as together our school provision represents around 34% of the sector.

You will be supporting the Learning Specialist's work across a range of digital systems, although primarily the Blackboard LMS. The role will focus on ensuring our NPQ participants and participants on other programmes have the best possible experience when using the LMS by providing technical support and administration. This will also include responsibility for responding to queries from delivery partners and participants about Blackboard. Where necessary, this will also require working across other systems, including the Salesforce CRM, and supporting with live teaching sessions on Zoom, Teams or other platforms.

• This is a fixed-term contract until 31st December 2025
• Whilst this is a remote role, the post-holder will need to travel for the following reasons:

    • Education Office Residential (2 days, including 1 overnight stay in the autumn)
    • NPQ Team Days (approx 3 per year)

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and their administration
• Experience of adapting curriculum content (using multimedia, creativity and knowledge of instructional design etc.) for an LMS or live training sessions based off existing material
• Customer service approach and ability to triage varying technical issues; ensuring prompt responses

• A salary of £34,801 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

We are looking for a determined, skilled, proactive trusts fundraiser to join our small team in this newly created role to help stop children dying suddenly and without explanation.

Tragically, 1-2 seemingly healthy children die in the UK every fortnight, often going to sleep and never waking up. This incidence is unchanging. You will lead and inspire a high-performing team of fundraising experts covering all disciplines including individual giving, major donors, legacies, challenge events, community fundraising, special events, trusts and corporate relationships.

SUDC UK has a small, warm, passionate and impactful team who currently support families facing the sudden death of a child between 1-18 years, with no clear explanation for their child’s death. 

Currently, the charity’s co-founder and CEO delivers services in collaboration with our affiliate organisation, the SUDC Foundation (based in the U.S). This new role will evolve SUDC UK’s direct support services by delivering an expanded, evidence-based SUDC UK pathway of exceptional care for registered families. 

The role will include providing 1-1 supportive zoom calls for information and guidance, case advocacy requiring collaboration and relationship building with professionals like Coroner’s officers and paediatricians, signposting, referrals and collaboration with other organisations, a family peer connection program, family events, service review and continuous improvement.

This is a key role within the Engagement Directorate at Blind Veterans UK as we are working through a new strategy which ensures we become data and insight led and put our audiences at the centre of all our communication. This presents an excellent opportunity for you to help revolutionise how Blind Veterans UK conducts data selections and to play a key role in producing actionable insights as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.

You will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of complex database extracts from Raiser’s Edge using FastStats, ensuring all data selections are delivered to a high standard for communications to Blind Veteran UK supporters. This includes ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and deadlines. The critical element to this role is developing a campaign planning process that embeds a test and learn culture and drives innovation and improvement in our communications.

You will work with the Insight Manager and wider Engagement (fundraising and Comms & Marketing) Team to implement journeys and automations to improve second gift rates and drive sustainable income.

As well as leading on data selections, you will manage the insight planning and request project boards, working with the Insight Manager to respond to both ad-hoc insight requests and longer term insight projects.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role - what you'll be doing:

• Lead on data selections. Responsible for ensuring all data selections are produced in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines.
• Manage the scheduling of delivering data selections to ensure there is clarity on what data selections are upcoming, to manage any potential clashes and to plan and prioritise the workload.
• Develop an excellent process and structure for delivering data selections that guarantees their consistency and accuracy.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief.
• Work with the Insight Manager to identify insight-driven recommendations for campaign planning, and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust.

• Work with the Insight Manager and Data Management functions to ensure the necessary data is being captured and is accurate, to enable campaign analysis to be conducted.
• Work with 3rd parties to ensure the timely and secure transfer of data selection files.
• Build and monitor supporter journeys for all data cohorts, improving the process based on findings.
• Send email communications, including testing and implementation of dynamic content.
• Manage the insight request project boards, assist in responding to ad-hoc insight requests and work with the Insight Manager on larger insight projects.

We are looking for a dedicated Counselling Team Leader to join our Eye Care Support Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, time-limited counselling and emotional support over the telephone and online. You will also lead and manage a team of counsellors and volunteer counsellors, ensuring they deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide telephone and online counselling to clients affected by sight loss, adhering to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework.
• Manage and support Sight Loss Team Counsellors, including recruitment and line management.
• Offer accurate and accessible information to clients about available services, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Develop and improve the range and quality of information regarding emotional support and counselling services.
• Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring referral waiting times are well managed.
• Develop links with other professionals and respond to enquiries about emotional support services.
• Lead the development and support of our volunteer counsellors, including recruitment and regular support.
• Deliver training and workshops to other professionals.
• Participate in service development, monitoring, and evaluation.

Qualifications Required:

• A recognised 3-year Diploma level Counselling qualification or equivalent.
• Registration on a PSA recognised register. Membership of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adherence to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice or equivalent with another recognised professional body.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Knowledge of a range of counselling approaches and types of service.
• Experience in delivering effective telephone and online counselling within a time-limited framework.
• Experience in managing counsellors and volunteer counsellors within an organisational setting.
• Experience in maintaining information systems that provide relevant and accurate information.

About the Role:

This role is based in Bedfordshire with consideration given to hybrid working. As an Non DA Related Independent Stalking Advocate you will be:

• providing a high quality support & advocacy service to victims of stalking
• working closely with our IDVA services within Bedfordshire
• managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support
• working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe
• working within a multi-agency framework consisting of voluntary and statutory partners to build local partnerships, in order to offer a coordinated response to stalking
• promoting the service and raise awareness of stalking through regular training of local partners.

You will need:

• Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of stalking would be advantageous
• To be able to prioritise work & deal with competing demands
• Ideally you will hold a ISAC or SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with victims of stalking and/or domestic abuse
• A driving license and access to a car, as this role covers the whole of the county

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
