About the role
The Legacy Management team handle these gifts. We've recently grown the team and are looking for a Legacy Management Officer to join us.
You'll be supported by experienced & knowledgeable colleagues as well as mentored by our Senior Legacy Management Officer and contribute to a collaborative and highly effective team.
Key parts of this role are to
- manage a caseload of residuary, life interest, discretionary and high value legacies
- communicate clearly and sensitively, mainly to solicitors, co-beneficiary charities, executors, friends & family
- maximise the value of the income whilst protecting our reputation

Here at Felix’s kitchen we turn some of that surplus food into Felix Meals, ready to eat meals which go out to people all across London. Purpose of the Job
To support in both the design & creation and the day to day running & implementation of Felix's Kitchen new employability programme and then be the key driving force behind delivering these programmes.
You will be leading a team of chef apprentices, providing them with hands on skills training created by yourself alongside the accredited course, supporting them with functional skills training, being their day-to-day line manager and supporting other employability programmes within the Felix Project in particular Felix’s Kitchen other programmes.
You will work alongside the wider Felix Kitchen team and support your programme to integrate into the main production kitchen. You will take a leading role in supporting Felix’s Kitchen at events and engagement opportunities, supporting the apprentices being a huge part of these events, both on and off site. The training kitchen will be your base and you will be responsible for the safe and effective running of this part of the kitchen, maximising its impact on the programmes as well as exploring other opportunities for its use, hosting visitors and charity partners. You will be a key part of all reporting and evaluations of our employability programmes.

Transport for All is looking for a Head of Research and Training to lead and grow our work on Justice in Practice: where disabled people’s lived experience is meaningfully embedded, appropriately compensated, and responded to in the transport sector and beyond. We have a bold plan for the next five years, and need someone who can support the team to deliver in line with our values.
As a member of the leadership team, you’ll secure funding for and lead delivery of our own research projects, and research projects with the transport industry, academia, charities and other organisations. You’ll lead a unique, disabled-led research and training team who are dedicated to removing barriers to transport for disabled people. This isn’t about gathering yet more evidence – it’s about responding to the lived experience of our diverse community and using research and training to drive change.
Recent projects including collaborating with Sustrans on the Disabled Citizens Inquiry into Walking and Wheeling, facilitating product testing by disabled people of an external organisation’s app for planning barrier-free walking, wheeling and cycling routes, and grant-funded research into removing barriers to accessing transport concessionary schemes. You’ll also lead and develop our Disability Equality Training offering – disabled-led training sessions for transport practitioners that lead to a culture change in the sector.
This is a new role, and the post holder will have opportunities to shape the scope and ways of working of the role – and the wider organisation – to aid delivery of the strategy. As a result, please note that the role is not limited to the elements included here, and has potential to evolve.

About SCEC
SCEC was founded over twenty years ago to provide learning enrichment opportunities to primary school children in disadvantaged communities in south London. Together with our partners, several leading independent schools, we currently operate four schemes in math, literacy, science and art. Children learn through fun, engaging group activities like science experiments, storytelling and mathematical treasure hunts, all taught by qualified teachers with added support from student mentors. Through the schemes, children explore their curiosity, build knowledge and develop their confidence as learners.
Your Role
The Scheme Director is a newly created role that will be pivotal in helping SCEC extend its reach. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will help SCEC design and implement an expansion programme as well as coordinating the delivery of the existing schemes via our school partners. You will also serve as a trusted partner to the Board in the administration of the charity.
Similar to a COO, this role straddles the operational and the strategic. We are looking for a confident communicator and relationship builder who can work across varied stakeholder groups. You should be able to grasp the big picture and have an eye for the details needed to deliver successful outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join SCEC on a transformational journey working with excellent learning partners and established leaders to improve educational outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee scheme operations including pupil recruitment, enrolment and attendance to ensure the smooth running of schemes and maximum impact
- Promote the charity to prospective partners and donors
- Support the Board in developing, implementing and monitoring an expansion programme
- Monitor and report on scheme performance and impact
- Prepare and manage budgets and disbursement of funds
- Build and maintain systems and processes to support scheme operations, compliance and monitoring
