The Associate Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy will provide motivational leadership of the talented Partnerships and Philanthropy team and as a member of the Senior Management Team, will contribute to the leadership and the overall strategic direction of the organisation. You will deliver the Partnerships and Philanthropy income targets as well as building a pipeline to achieve growth in key income streams for future years in line with the three-year strategy. In 2026, the organisation will hold its biannual Gala, and as Associate Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy, you and your team will be responsible for delivering this successfully.

You will bring expertise in major donor and/or corporate fundraising, and you will be a strategic and experienced team leader and manager. Fundraising:

• Conduct research on potential funding opportunities and grant applications

· Collaborate with PR, fundraising, digital, and campaigning teams to integrate storytelling into their work, identify their needs, and match case studies or celebrities to relevant projects.

• Working with the Head of Marketing to maintain brand quality control, ensuring brand guidelines and support materials are up-to-date and accessible to the whole team.

• Researching and exploring marketing and promotional initiatives and avenues such as Google Ads, PPC, Instagram / Facebook promotions / sponsorship / ads etc.

• Managing Google Analytics and communications tracking, producing monthly reporting on marketing activity using agreed reporting template, including website activity, e-comms performance, social media performance and growth and audience analysis.

• Liaising with external designers as required on charity collateral and managing relationships with printers, obtaining relevant quotes and ensuring costing clarity.

You will be responsible for developing and diversifying the base of supporters and achieving fundraising targets. You will help maintain our existing stable income but also develop other income streams, expand our supporter networks, and build our sustainability for the future. The successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with trusts and foundations as well as corporate partners and individual givers. You will develop and deliver successful plans to diversify and optimize our income as well as maintaining and improving the tools, processes, and internal expertise to ensure sustainability. Skills and experience

You will have a proven track record of soliciting, managing, and securing income from diverse income streams. What you will do:

This is a vital role in our Fundraising team, where you will be working with individuals, organisations, schools and small businesses in the local areas across Scotland to raise income and awareness for Canine Partners. You will recruit, manage and inspire fundraising volunteers to support us to raise much-needed funds. You will be passionate about stewarding existing relationships and cultivating news ones, ensuring an outstanding donor experience. Taking a proactive approach will be key to showcasing our work and charitable goals. 

It is an exciting time to join us, as the charity marks its 35th anniversary this year year and we will be doing lots to celebrate! Including lots of ambitious projects such as setting up the community fundraising hub in Scotland, which you will play a pivotal part in. 

What we are looking for: 

• Demonstrable experience in community fundraising and events management. 
• A successful track record of securing and maintaining income and support from community-based organisations. 
• Proven experience of effectively manging relationships volunteers, supporters, and or external stakeholders/audiences. 
• Ability to manage a varied workload and take initiative to prioritise. 
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

About Woolwich Service Users Project (WSUP)

WSUP is a grassroots charity providing holistic support for people experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction, and mental health challenges. With a focus on lived experience and implementation of trauma-informed practice, we offer a range of essential services, from haircuts and healthcare screenings to wellbeing activities and community advocacy.

We are looking for a passionate Health Coordinator to lead our efforts in improving healthcare access, preventing homelessness, and supporting public health initiatives in the community.

The Health Coordinator will play a key role in connecting people to essential healthcare services, strengthening early intervention work, and supporting community-led public health initiatives. The role will also focus on homelessness prevention and ensuring that people face challenges with housing, mental health, and substance use receive the right support at the right time.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in public health, healthcare coordination, or homelessness support who is committed to addressing health inequalities in Greenwich.

Key Responsibilities

1. Access to healthcare and preventive support

• Implement a pre-treatment approach across all WSUP’s activities, ensuring that people who are not yet ready to engage with formal healthcare services receive support and information, including harm reduction, peer mentorship and stabilisation services.
• Link people to healthcare providers, mental health services and addiction recovery programs.
• Monitor preventative care initiatives, including TB and Hepatitis C screenings, to promote early detection and intervention.
• Lead public health campaigns to increase awareness, challenge stigma and promote access to healthcare.
• Develop partnerships with GPs, the Rough Sleeping Health Working Group and local health teams to coordinate care and share resources.
• Use data-driven insights to identify gaps in services and advocate for improved health provision.

2. Prevent homelessness

• Implement a casework framework to support people at risk of homelessness.
• Develop referral pathways with GP practices to ensure healthcare professionals can refer people at risk of housing instability.
• Collaborate with housing organisations and local authorities to secure rapid interventions for those facing homelessness.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes using the In-Form Community Case Management System (CMS) to improve service effectiveness.

3. Strengthen volunteer and safeguarding capacity

• Recruit, train and mentor Peer Support Volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide outreach and advocacy.
• Ensure strong safeguarding practices across all health and homelessness prevention initiatives.
• Engage with the community to shape WSUP's health programs based on lived experiences and local needs.
• Build long-term capacity, embedding Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) into WSUP’s services.

Person Specification

Essential skills & experience

• Experience working in healthcare (non-clinical), public health, social work, or homelessness services.
• Strong knowledge of health inequalities, mental health challenges and addiction recovery pathways.

The Trusts and Foundations Team is part of the Fundraising and Marketing Communications Department and is responsible for delivering over £3m a year for the organisation’s services.

As Senior Trust Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for managing our existing donor relationships, researching new funding opportunities and preparing applications with a focus on 5 and 6 figure funding. This is a well-established income stream for Whizz Kidz with content for proposals readily available and accessible and you will have the opportunity to work with long standing supporters, helping them feel inspired by the impact of their gift. Finally, you will join an ambitious and collaborative fundraising team, keen to share success and support one another.

The ideal candidate will have experience of growing a Trust income stream and of preparing donor reports and providing excellent stewardship to funders and will be an excellent spoken and written communicator with a particular emphasis on funding application writing and reporting. They will have strong prospect research skills with the ability to secure higher value funding partnerships and an understanding of the issues young wheelchair users face.
