What will you be doing?

We are looking to recruit a committed individual to support the delivery and development of our youth justice practice work, specifically to provide support to police and youth justice services in the delivery of youth diversion. 

Youth diversion schemes are a way of addressing low-level criminal behaviour without putting children through the formal criminal justice processing (either through out of court resolutions (OOCRS) or prosecution) that can result in a criminal conviction and other negative consequences. These schemes operate for under-18s in a variety of different models across the country.

Since 2014, we have provided direct support to over 70 YJSs and their local police forces to develop their diversion schemes, as well as supporting the development of new schemes. In this role, you will help provide this support, which will include: delivering multi-agency workshops, assessing practice against the evidence base, reviewing guidance and protocols and providing recommendations for improvement.

The role will also include:

• Identifying and supporting areas for practice development;

• Working closely with Youth Endowment Fund, Youth Justice Board and the National Police Chiefs’ Council;

• Developing practical tools to support practitioners;

• Presenting at external events;

• Contributing to the design and facilitation of practice sharing events and workshops;

• Engaging with practitioners, stakeholders and service users to shape delivery and represent the Centre;

• Working with the Centre’s teams to ensure practice work feeds into our research, policy and communication activities.

The Role

The organisation is responsible for delivery of MNVPs for both Birmingham and Solihull ICB. Travelling is required to engage and meet with service user reps, leads and relevant stakeholders.  Part time applicants will be assigned specific trust to work within (again travel will be required within the specified area).  Some level of cover will also be required across the 2 areas in cases of absence, annual leave etc. 

This is a fixed term role which will involve supervision and line management of a team of volunteers, leads and delivery of the MNVP forums and associated activities as well as supporting the administration of the contract.

Main activities within the role include: 

• Recruitment of MNVP members and volunteers

• Build strong working relationships with commissioners, partners and local parents and families

• Ensure parent and families views are fed back in a clear, understandable matter to commissioners

• Production of a range of reports including data to senior managers and commissioners

• Active use of Social Media to engage with service users and partners including managing meetings via these channels

• Coproduction of communications with Local Maternity Neonatal Systems ensuring service users views are listened to and included in actions

About You

You must have the natural ability to build effective relationships, be approachable and have an outgoing personality as well as being IT literate and a good communicator at all levels.  Experience of working with midwifery services is helpful as is knowledge of MNVP priorities and aims.

What will you be doing?

We are looking to recruit a committed individual to support the delivery and development of our criminal  justice practice work, with a focus on women’s justice. This is an exciting opportunity where the successful applicant will be actively contributing to the design and delivery of our expanding women in justice area of focus within the Centre.

The role will primarily support our work to expand and enhance community justice for women. This means working in partnership with statutory partners such as police, probation, the judiciary and court staff, as well as 3rd sector organisations including women’s centres to support evidence-led practice.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting our women’s problem-solving court network. This will involve (i) identifying and convening practitioners and others who are interested in women’s problem-solving approaches; (ii) facilitating and delivering training and practice sharing workshops; and (iii) developing briefings and toolkits that support the spread of good practice.

Problem-solving courts are specialist courts that focus on addressing the underlying issues and problems that drive offending behaviour. They specialise in a specific set of issues or around a specific target group, such as women with multiple unmet needs. They operate with multi-agency teams to provide tailored interventions and supervision, combining this with judicial monitoring, where individuals regularly appear before the same judge to review their progress.

The Practice Officer will also support us to expand our reach in Out Of Court Resolutions (OOCRs) and pre-court diversion, working directly with police and other agencies to develop or improve their gender-responsive diversion schemes.

The role will also include:

• Supporting the delivery of our practice support in areas such as early intervention and diversion, and specialist problem-solving approaches for women;

Coram’s Fields is a unique charity in the heart of Bloomsbury, London. The Operations Officer role is an integral part of the central team with responsibility for procedures, systems that support the effective, efficient, and compliant running of our seven-acre site, services, park events and oversight of income streams. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

General operations, processes and systems 

• You will be responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of organisational procedures including IT, GDPR, Health and Safety, Fire Evacuation, incident management.
• You will be responsible for briefing staff across the charity in the use of these procedures and working with the Office and HR Manager to arrange training for staff where necessary. 
• You will be responsible for improving existing office systems and identifying opportunities to develop new systems and processes to enable people to work more collaboratively, efficiently, and effectively.

Events and project management

• You will be responsible for identifying new (temporary and permanent) opportunities and third party partnerships to bring new experiences, enjoyment and enrichment to local young people while also generating income for the charity. 
• You will work closely with our Café Manager to grow the profile and income generated by our cafe through improved park signage and park visitor experience initiatives, and integration of the café into the hall and sports hire customer journeys.

Our client is a Charity which specialisies in the provision of high-quality independent living accommodation for people of limited financial means.  They are searching for a qualified Finance Manger to work with their leadership team, based in the Hounslow area.

The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is accountable to the Charity Directors and Finance Committee. The post is responsible for running and maintaining the Charity’s financial matters and records, including production of the management accounts and preparation of the draft annual report and the development of budgets and forecasts for strategic projects and other initiatives.  This is a key role, working with a great team and one that contributes directly to the smooth running of the Charity.

This position is office based, in a great location for public transport connections and in offices with excellent amenities.

Job Purpose:

· Manage day to day book-keeping and key financial processes.

· Produce accurate and timely monthly accounts.

· Develop quarterly reports, annual budgets, accounts and cash flow forecasts.

· Produce the required documents and process for audit partners.

· Plan and organise data for payroll processing.

· Partner with the Charity’s Directors and Finance Committee to develop budgets and forecasts for strategic projects and initiatives.

· Work with the Charity’s key partners to ensure that all governance and compliance matters are fulfilled.

· Work effectively with the team, stakeholders and residents on a day-to-day basis.

Position Requirements:

· A track record of working in finance and teamwork.

· Excellent business acumen and commercial skills.
