TreeHouse School is a happy and vibrant community where autistic children and young people learn and flourish. Currently, we have 100 pupils on roll aged 4- 19 years old. We provide children with the specialist, intensive and integrated support to enable them to learn, thrive and achieve. All pupils have a Primary diagnosis of autism with some that also have additional complex needs. Main duties

Programme Support 

• Provide support across Causeway's broad portfolio of programmes, such as online mentoring, insight days, work experience weeks and university and employer outreach schemes

• Organise programme-related events, such as workshops/webinars 

• Deliver online and in-person workshops to students and stakeholders, alongside other members of the Programmes Team

• Look after our shared inboxes and share queries with relevant team members 

• Support the collection of information as part of programme reporting requirements

• Support in the design and creation of new programme resources

• Support other team members with management of external communications including the Causeway website, Twitter account and newsletters

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Carers across City of London to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team work holistically with Carers to understand their individual circumstances and level of need. You’ll carry out home visits and community-based meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Carers, families, and professionals. You will also support Carers to complete written forms and applications, draft letters, and advocate with third parties.         

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Together with colleagues, you will plan and deliver the service’s activity package, including coffee mornings, drop-in sessions, activities, online and face to face groups, and peer support forums. The Data and Operations Senior Officer is responsible for the daily management and effective operation of the Bliss CRM, Raiser’s Edge, as well as leading on key data projects to make the most of the insights and information captured in our CRM to maximise Bliss’ fundraising. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take ownership of Bliss’ data operations, helping to support our Fundraising department – and the wider organisation – to make the best use of our CRM systems, supporter data, and internal resources to raise more money and reach more families. This role will act as Bliss’ internal subject matter expert for all things data, and will line manage the Data Officer. They will be responsible for the efficient import, export and analysis of Bliss’ data, and will support teams across the organisation to better use of their data to meet their objectives.

As the Senior Volunteering Manager, you’ll be someone that can inspire people that you manage and wider staff in the team, and help lead key areas of our volunteering programme.

You’ll be someone who sets high expectations for the people that you manage, ensuring that they deliver the best experience possible for our volunteers through quality programme delivery and outcomes. You’ll do this through empowering them to deliver whilst supporting their professional development and investing in their skills.

This role will be responsible for some key department projects, setting expectations and targets with colleagues across the team, learning from our data, leading quality within our programme and looking to develop new ways of working.

The Senior Volunteering Officer will help us to explore and develop new approaches to volunteering within the NHS. This role is focused on supporting our volunteers that are based within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust services across the North West London Community and to develop new volunteering roles that focus on health challenges within the community.

You’ll provide a high quality experience to volunteers that are located within our community sites, by working with Trust staff and partner organisations to develop new roles that improve the experience to our patients within these clinical services, to identify new locations and roles, to develop our volunteering offer within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

This role will work with the Trust to develop new approaches to volunteering, with a particular focus on designing, launching and evaluating volunteer roles that could bring system change to wider health inequalities.

Additionally, you’ll focus on our volunteer community, ensuring that our volunteer community is as representative of the wider population, and seek to engage groups with a particular focus on the Core20plus5 groups.

Main Tasks:

Provide leadership and support to enable a high quality volunteering experience within Trust Services within the North West London Community

Work in partnership with wider charity teams, to identify areas to link up work around the population health programme of work and identify appropriate volunteering opportunities

Working in partnership with the volunteering team, provide tools and approaches to understand our volunteer community.

Our Manager role is a key position at Swan Lifeline, supported by our animal care assistants and volunteers overseeing the day-to-day running of the site.

This is a physical, outdoor role that supports our mission to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release Swans back to the wild. Some experience on the water would be an advantage but not essential as training can be given.

Swan Lifeline is the oldest registered charity devoted entirely to the care of sick and injured swans in the Thames Valley and surrounding area and has cared for thousands of sick and injured swans over the last 30 years.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead daily animal care, including feeding, cleaning and site maintenance.

● On a daily basis, manage staff, volunteers and work with Trustees.

● Attend swan rescues and releases, handling birds in a safe, sensitive and confident manner.

● Being able to confidently liaise with members of the public/emergency services.

● Allocate daily tasks to our team of onsite staff and volunteers.

● Maintain and prepare our rescue equipment.

● Handle enquiries from the general public via phone and email.

● Able to handle pressure calmly and professionally. 

You will have the following skills and strengths:

● Experience in animal care and treating sick or injured animals.

● Good customer facing skills, and positive behaviours in dealing with people.

● Initiative and ability to work well as part of a team and on own without close supervision.

● Full, Clean manual driving licence.

● Previous experience of working with Swans/large waterfowl.

● Experience as a Team leader or similar.

● Practical experience and confidence working on/near the river (eg: use of Kayak).

The Senior Grants Manager will play a key role in managing the Foundation's grant-making efforts. Supporting grantees over a multi-year journey to helping them achieve their goals, the Senior Grants Manager will need to be an excellent relationship-builder, with a strong knowledge of philanthropy, and a dedication to enhancing impact through effective grant-making.

Key responsibilities

• Grant Management & Compliance: Oversee all stages of the grant lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Foundation guidelines, values, and objectives.
• Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with grantees, charities, and non-profit organisations, acting as the primary point of contact.

The Senior Grants Manager will have at least 5 years' experience in grant management, preferably in a philanthropic or not-for-profit organisation, or experience of grant-making, carrying out grant assessments and grant reports. The successful candidate will have a strong level of analytical skills, strong experience of working with a grant management database (The Bloom Foundation uses Blackbaud) and an interest in learning from grant making to inform future practice. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely and the ability to think strategically. You will have good relationship building skills and a high level of diplomacy and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment. You will be proficient in office software packages, including MS Office and Excel and confident working accurately with figures.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player. You will be interested in and committed to contributing to the overall success of a small and highly motivated organisation with a versatile and flexible approach and a "can do" attitude.

The role is based in a modern, vibrant office in Camden on the canal. You will initially work 4 days a week in the office with 1 day from home. Following a successful probation period, your working pattern will be a minimum of 3 days in the office with 2 days from home. There will be some evening events, and some travel involved nationally to visit grantees. XLP is a vibrant youth work charity dedicated to shaping bright futures for young people. Leading the charge against poverty and educational failure in inner London, we offer holistic, long-term support to 11 to 25 year olds in both schools and communities.

Over the past eight years XLP has run a nationally recognised mentoring programme which runs in nine London boroughs. These mentoring projects target at risk young people between 11 – 18 who are on the verge of exclusion or excluded from school, at risk of involvement or already involved in crime, and isolated from their communities. The aim is to support these young people and help them see alternatives to what can sometimes seem a hopeless situation.​

We’re looking for a Mentoring Manager to join the team to recruit, train, monitor and supervise mentors sourced from the local community in North London. These mentors commit to providing 1-2 hours face to face per week for a minimum of 12 months with their allocated mentee.​

This is a hybrid role with approx. 50% of your time being face-to-face. Mondays are based in our central London office.
