Group FP&A Manager | £450 - £500 per day (Umbrella) | Hybrid | London | 6-months +

For a large international organisation, we are recruiting an Interim Group FP&A Manager who will coordinate and produce consolidated financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. The Group FP&A Manager will contribute to planning activity and data across Finance, working closely with Regional Finance Directors to ensure consistency of all planning and forecasting. This role will report to the Director of Group Planning and Reporting and will lead, manage, and motivate a Financial Planning Analyst. This role is for a minimum of 6-months and could be extended.

Main Duties:

• Provide a financial planning, forecasting and management reporting service in the UK, Regions, and international business units across Group level.
• Deliver monthly MI reports
• Coordination and delivery of annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly re-forecasts
• Support multi-year planning
• Tracking and forecasting of financial KPIs
• Support the Director of Group Planning and Reporting in preparing reports for Exec on reporting and planning deliverables
• Lead continuous improvement of processes across monthly close, financial commentary and analysis and cash-flow forecasting
• Ensure the MI and forecasts are fit-for-purpose during a period of transformation and change
• Play a key role in the implementation of a new planning and reporting tool as part of a global finance transformation programme
• Set planning and forecasting timetables for the organisation
• Work closely with the Head of Strategic Planning and coordinate with the UK and Regional finance teams to ensure alignment of all financial planning activity
• Support strategy in the collation and consolidation of 5-year planning
• Development and rollout of multi-year planning workbooks and processes
• Work closely with Shared Service Centre in India, supporting the FP&A team in-country
• Lead, manage and motivate one Financial Planning Analyst

Person Specification:

We are looking for an experienced Prospect Research Manager to join the Strategic Relationships and Philanthropy team. You will provide exceptional prospect research support and maximise fundraiser portfolios to drive income growth which will help create a world without barriers for blind and partially sighted people.

What you'll be doing:

In this role, you'll work closely with the Senior Manager Prospect Research to effectively implement the pipeline management strategy. You'll ensure prospect and donor portfolios are properly qualified, dynamic and allocated appropriately. You'll be responsible for delivering a high-quality research service and you'll take a leading role in managing some of the research projects, such as sector work, network mapping, due diligence and prospect identification.

What you'll need to succeed in this role:

This role will suit someone with an eye for detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, who is proactive and comfortable providing insight and sharing new ideas and best practice.

You will have:

· Significant experience of delivering high standards of prospect research within a fundraising context, including proactively identifying prospects from a variety of sources.

The Global Safeguarding Team work together with business delivery units to manage and mitigate safeguarding risks across the organisation. 
 
This role is specifically focused to support the Cultural Engagement (CE) business unit and has a dotted line to the Cultural Engagement Operations team. CE brings together our work in arts, education, English & School Education and research. With a workforce of approximately 1000 globally and an income in 2023/24 of over £230 million, CE delivers impact through research and insight, sector engagement, policy dialogue and a mixed portfolio of commercial and non-commercial work globally.  

The purpose of the CE Operations function is to set and support an operating environment that enables CE to efficiently deliver the CE global business plan. It focuses on enabling teams to embed ways of working, good practice, continual improvement and to demonstrate compliance.
 
The Role:
 
As Safeguarding Manager, you will lead the implementation of the British Council safeguarding framework and resources across all Cultural Engagement programme delivery and ensure practice is aligned with the global Safeguarding policy and strategy. 
 
As part of this, you will lead the development of fit for purpose resources that can be practically and usefully embedded within the Cultural engagement project/programme lifecycle. 
 
The role is to provide proactive safeguarding advice, consultation and as required, direction and assistance across Cultural Engagement global delivery, ensuring that British Council Safeguarding policies, procedures, tools/resources and protocols are appropriately embedded and adhered to within all activities and programmes.

Accountabilities:
As part of promoting safeguarding the role holder will be required to:

• Embed and manage the overall framework and resources which provide guidance and support for CE programme managers so that they can confidently use them across the programme lifecycle 
• Ensure safeguarding due diligence as per requirements of the FCDO – with special referenced to PSEAH – Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment
•  Embed safeguarding into programme design and bids to clients.

• Based on the British Council global safeguarding case management policy, provide support and guidance to global cultural engagement staff to report and manage incident-based risks. 

 
There will also be collaboration with an extended team consisting of Cultural Engagement teams covering Risk, Internal Communications, Media, Employee Relations and Reward, Contract Management and Legal.

Requirements of the role:
•    Experience of working in an international development context and in an international (matrix) organization
•    A sound knowledge of international safeguarding standards and service delivery within statutory and non-statutory settings

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a highly organised executive assistant to take on a role supporting our CEO and other senior leaders. This role offers the chance to work closely with the leadership team to support the delivery of strategic projects and support our working groups.

You’ll play a key role at Share, making sure the day-to-day management of the CEO’s office is organised and productive, and that all matters are dealt with in a professional, efficient, and sensitive manner. You’ll support fundraising at Share, so we can do more great work supporting our students. You’ll conduct research and compile data to support decision-making and help demonstrate the impact we make.  

Main responsibilities  

• You will provide support to the CEO on strategic and improvement projects 

• You will provide high-level and comprehensive executive support to the CEO, including efficient coordination of meetings and other appointments on behalf of the CEO  

• You will liaise with Share’s board by taking and producing Share board minutes and supporting new trustees 

• You will provide support with fundraising and provide data about our students to support fundraising applications 

• You will work with the CEO and working parties to organise annual events such as the Share awards

We're hiring a Deputy Service Manager to join our service in Luton. You will be based across two locations, one which is a residential project, providing accommodation to homeless families with support needs including expectant mothers, mothers with up to two children under the age of 10, or single women aiming to have guardianship of their children. The other service provides temporary accommodation to single homeless males who have various support needs which could include mental health, substance misuse, and offending history.

You will be based across both services, providing overall leadership and management of your service projects and teams who deliver high quality, trauma informed support to residents. Your role will ensure full contract and regulatory compliance, being a role model and leader for your team to achieve service KPI's and other requirements for the service.

We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our residents, and can support the team in delivering excellence. You will be driven with passion for what we do, and be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, providing new ideas and opportunities to develop the service further to continue to achieve excellence!

The role includes:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required. 

Shift/Working pattern: 37.5 hours a week face to face in service Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, you may also be required to work outside these hours as per the service requirements and needs. You will also take part in our out of hours on call service.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an Apprenticeships Service Administrator to support the apprenticeship provision within Harris Federation Central Head Office.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the apprenticeship team and support by managing administration and providing essential support to apprentices across the Harris Federation. Key responsibilities include the organisation of Apprenticeship events, maintaining individual learner records (ILR), data analysis, and managing the virtual learning platform and MIS. Additionally, there will be a requirement to assist line managers and staff members with Apprenticeship queries.

A primary focus is on onboarding learners and maintaining accurate enrolment records, contributing to the effective delivery and evaluation of apprenticeship programs across the Federation.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager you will be responsible for:

General Administration and Apprentice Support

• Supporting Harris Federation as a main provider, ensuring all apprentice data is accurate and up to date
• Preparing and updating PowerPoint presentations to promote apprenticeships
• Organising and promoting apprenticeship events and information sessions
• Supporting the promotional/marketing strategy to drive apprenticeship applications and delivery
• Organising and managing information days for prospective learners / students and supporting the recruitment to various apprenticeship programmes
• Maintaining responsibility for monitoring and updating records on the DAS (Digital Apprenticeship Service) system and other data system trackers
• Maintaining apprenticeship records, including the apprenticeship tracking system, producing reports to monitor enrolment, completion rates, and levy usage
• Helping to maintain the EOSONE learning platform to ensure accurate data and the declaration of our monthly ILRs (individual learner records)
• Supporting the implementation, procurement, quality assurance and evaluation of the apprenticeship offer to support business objectives
• Data analysis and preparing regular reports on performance of various programmes

Management Information System (MIS)

• Managing and actively updating EOSONE learning platform to ensure all the learner portfolios are up to date including off the job
• Supporting with the on-boarding of learners on the Harris Federation main provider provision and the completion of relevant enrolment documentation, procedures, and guidance

• The ability to establish a new role in the Harris Federation and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to deliver successful apprenticeship programmes
• Strong project management skills with experience of complex projects with multiple stakeholders

Hither Green Service (Spring Gardens and Hilda House) is a busy, flagship service which provides you with the opportunity to join a specialised and committed team supporting 68, multiple excluded, highly vulnerable adults with complex needs in Lewisham. 

Working as a Night Support Assistant, you will provide a first point of contact to clients at night; being responsible for:

• Dealing with emergencies, undertaking regular wellbeing checks, monitoring the CCTV system for incidents and health and safety concerns.
• Working with the shift lead you will be responsible for undertaking tasks on the night shift task list and supporting the day team with client interventions handed over. 
• Reporting incidents or maintenance issues and communicating concerns or events to the rest of the team.

About you

You will be able to communicate in a sensitive, assertive and nuanced manner that builds trust and effective working relationships with residents who are experiencing issues including substance and alcohol addiction, poor mental health, offending behaviour and histories of abuse.

To thrive in this role, you will:

• Understand the issues faced by homeless or vulnerable people and the difficulties they experience in accessing services; or you may have personal experience of homelessness.
• Have experience of managing complex and difficult situations in relation to people and basic strategies to deal with challenging behaviour.
