The Fundraising Officer will join the charity during an exciting time as it grows and expands its business development, fundraising and income generation.
This role can be undertaken remotely so we are accepting applications from anywhere in the UK, although you will be required to attend the office in Worcestershire at least monthly.
There will be some UK travel required on occasion so the successful candidate should be willing to travel.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Fundraising Officer. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our fundraising efforts to advance our impact in supporting care experienced people.
The Fundraising Assistant will work closely with the Fundraiser to execute various administrative and operational fundraising activities, manage donor relationships, and contribute to the overall success of our fundraising initiatives.
We’re looking for someone with great people skills, as well as drive, initiative, and determination. You’ll excel in communication, both face-to-face and in writing, with a knack for crafting persuasive funding proposals tailored to various stakeholders. You’ll be diligent with details and accuracy and have a dynamic approach to your work. You will be a natural problem solver, always looking to improve upon current processes to enhance efficiency. You will develop and maintain both internal and external contacts and be able to research and undertake analysis of funding streams, bids, and tenders and support in their collation and submission.
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Prospect Research:
Conduct research on prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, to identify new funding opportunities and support donor cultivation efforts.
Communication:
Conduct research and develop compelling fundraising proposals for trusts, foundations, corporations, and individuals. Assist in creating and distributing engaging fundraising materials, including appeal letters, newsletters, and social media content, to captivate donors and promote our fundraising initiatives.
Donor Management:
Assist in maintaining donor records, including contact information, donation history, and communication preferences, using a CRM database.
Donation Processing:
Process donations, issue acknowledgment letters, and ensure accurate recording of donations in the database.
Fundraising Campaign Support:
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising campaigns and events, including mailings, online fundraising initiatives, and donor appreciation events.
Grant Administration:
Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, reports, and other grant-related materials, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.
Reporting:
Generate reports on fundraising activities, donor trends, and campaign outcomes to track progress and inform decision-making.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to the Fundraiser, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and managing correspondence.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with staff across departments to integrate fundraising efforts with other organizational activities and initiatives.
Strategic:
Work closely with the Fundraiser to develop and implement the charity’s fundraising and income development strategy.
It will be beneficial if you have a working knowledge of the UK charity framework and Fundraising Regulatory requirements.

What we do
LawWorks is the operating name of the Solicitors Pro Bono Group. We are a charity, and our aim is to enable access to justice through supporting and developing the contribution of legal pro bono.
With support from the Law Society of England and Wales, we encourage, facilitate and celebrate pro bono across the solicitor profession and at law schools in England and Wales.

We work primarily with solicitors (firms and in-house teams), and also with law schools and law students, and other legal and non-legal volunteers and organisations.
LawWorks has around 150 member organisations including some of the largest City firms and international firms with an office in London, national, regional and local firms, in-house teams, law schools and charities.

Our projects
There are a number of key strands to our work to support and facilitate pro bono:

we support a growing network of around 300 local independent pro bono advice clinics across England and Wales. We work with lawyers, advice agencies, charities and others to establish or develop new clinics, and provide ongoing information and support, training and resources, for clinic volunteers and coordinators;

our Not-for-Profits Programme facilitates the provision of free legal advice for smaller charities and not-for-profit organisations, supported by volunteer lawyers from LawWorks’ members;

our Secondary Specialisation Programme supports the development of more ‘in-depth’ pro bono in areas of social welfare law. This currently includes an unpaid wages project and ‘Voices for Families’, with the charity Together for Short Lives, supporting parents and carers of children with life-limiting conditions;

we support collaborative projects including: Pro Bono Connect: a project which facilitates barristers and solicitors working together on pro bono cases; the Domestic Abuse Response Alliance and IP Pro Bono.

we have launched new online tools and digital platforms including a website called ‘Free Legal Answers’ and the Pro Bono Portal UK (with Justice Connect, an Australian access to justice charity).
In addition to encouraging and supporting pro bono delivery, we also work to address barriers to justice and to provide a ‘policy voice’ for pro bono - for example, working to address regulatory and other barriers to pro bono volunteering, and working with our members and others to influence policy on legal aid and other aspects of access to justice.
The role
Our experience in the different regions in England and Wales has shown the valueof having staff based locally to support pro bono initiatives, develop new pro bono opportunities and to increase engagement from the local legal profession.
This role will include helping to develop and support your own set of clinics, building on existing relationships in the Southwest or North of England. You will work with our members and the local advice sector to support the development of new pro bono clinics to meet unmet legal needs. We take an innovative, tailored approach to the support we provide, and you will provide one-to one support for individual clinics, allowing you to identify and address need, providing help with insurance, regulatory queries, finding volunteers and access to online tools.
A small part of the role (1 day per week) will involve working closely with the part-time Engagement & Training Officer (Wales) focusing on expanding stakeholder engagement to increase the number of independent legal advice clinics in Wales and promote pro bono involvement by the legal profession. You will work to identify and engage new stakeholders, develop training sessions and support impact monitoring. This role will also work closely with the Clinic Support and Development Officer (Wales), who acts as the first point of contact for guidance and support for clinics in Wales.
Key priorities for this role will be:

To provide guidance and support to independent pro bono clinics registered with the LawWorks Clinics Network in the Southwest or North of England;

To increase the number of individuals in Southwest or North England provided with free legal advice at clinics in the LawWorks Clinics Network by identifying opportunities for new pro bono advice clinics, supporting local stakeholders to develop new services to meet unmet legal needs in their area;

To support and grow pro bono volunteering and LawWorks’ membership (e.g., law firms and in-house legal teams);

We are looking for a confident networker who is able to identify opportunities andestablish new partnerships. All of LawWorks’ work is delivered through partnerships so it is essential that the candidate is personable, collaborative and an effective communicator.
A background in the legal or advice sector will be an advantage, but not essential - training and support will be provided for someone from another sector who is passionate about pro bono and access to justice and willing to learn. Experience of managing multiple projects and seeing them through to completion will also be an advantage.
The role offers variety, autonomy, the opportunity to help develop new initiatives from idea to launch, and a chance to support local communities and volunteer lawyers.
The position will be predominantly home based, with some travel throughout the Southwest or North of England, and occasional travel to LawWorks’ office in central London.
Primary purpose of role

About the role
We’re looking for a Legacy Marketing Officer to join our Individual Giving and Legacy Team.
It’s an exciting time to join the Legacy Team as we are embarking on a new era for legacy and in memory giving at Young Lives vs Cancer. In memory giving and gifts in Wills left to us by our supporters are essential to ensuring we can help generations of children and young people who will sadly be living with a cancer diagnosis. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Legacy Marketing Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting the Legacy Marketing Manager to plan, implement and deliver legacy and in-memory strategies.
The Legacy Officer will work on a range of legacy and in-memory campaigns, materials and supporter centric journeys across multiple channels. As a team we will maximise legacy and in memory giving and acquire new legacy and in memory supporters, as well as nurturing existing supporters who have expressed an interest in leaving a gift in their Will for the future of Young Lives vs Cancer’s work.
The role will suit a passionate and creative individual who thrives on working collaboratively and who is able to manage end to end projects and supplier relationships. There will be a need to analyse data to monitor performance as well as identifying trends and opportunities. Fulfilment mapping is also a key element of the role as well as being comfortable presenting in person to colleagues and suppliers.

The Head of Fundraising & Communication is responsible for the generation of funds for Kintsugi Hope by a variety of income streams and for ensuring the Kintsugi Hope brand and services are marketed throughout the UK. The role is a full-time, 5-day-week (35 hours) position.
The salary is £23,000 - £27,000 per annum depending upon experience.
There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.
Rewilding Britain employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part time roles), rising to 30 days over 5 years. A generous employer-matched pension scheme is also available.
We are a virtual team who work from home and/or co-working spaces. We will support you to achieve a suitable virtual working environment. Some meetings are held face to face across Britain, so a willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays is desirable.

What’s on offer:
Salary: circa £55,000 dependant on experience
Working pattern: Hybrid or Remote, with quarterly travel into Central London
Key duties include:
· Lead on the development and operational delivery of the philanthropy and fundraising partnerships strategy, encompassing work across the high-value donor, legacies, trusts and corporate fundraising income streams.
· Maintain relationships with existing high-value donors and funders, through the provision of exemplary stewardship including reports, mailings, phone calls and face to face meetings.
· Oversee the continued development and growth of the charity’s global legacy programme, including the production of legacy mailings, telemarketing, offline and digital advertising, and features, as well as correspondence with supporters, solicitors and other stakeholders.
· Drive the development of the corporate fundraising programme, working with Global Programmes colleagues and partners based in the countries where the charity operates in.
· Provide supportive and dynamic line management for the Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships team.
· Support the Chief Executive, Directors and senior colleagues to build new funding relationships with key stakeholders.
· Work closely with the Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications to develop and drive the Philanthropy & Partnerships growth plan.

· Demonstrable experience of managing multi-faceted, high value fundraising campaigns across Major Gifts, Trusts, Corporate or Legacy fundraising.
