At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for an Interim Deputy Director of External Affairs to join our team on a 9 month FTC.

While this role covers all our External Affairs functions, you'll be particularly expected to have knowledge and expertise in providing leadership in policy-influencing and campaigns. You'll provide leadership of AaA's External Affairs strategy to ensure the needs of autistic children and their families are high on the political and media agenda.

You'll have an externally-facing role in policy influencing, representing AaA in coalitions with relevant government departments among parliamentarians, as well as increasing AaA's profile through an effective communications strategy.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Substantial experience, knowledge and understanding of the policy landscape, including political and legislative processes, and local government structures and processes
• Extensive experience of developing and delivering strategic, integrated communications programmes
• Demonstrable leadership of successful policy-influencing activity, including stakeholder engagement and above/below the line influencing strategies
• Proven experience in strategy development

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Philanthropy Specialist plays a major role in meeting the organisation’s ambitious fundraising goals. Responsible for major giving and grants portfolios, the Philanthropy Specialist identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards financial support from generous individuals and granting bodies.

With a proven track record the successful candidate will network with key stakeholders, present compelling communications and generate significant funds. Role Overview

About You

You’ll have proven experience as a Graphic Designer; working either in a similar role or in an in-house or agency setting.  Your excellent understanding of brand identity, typography, and visual storytelling will come into play whilst creating accessible and inclusive content, and using your skills in Adobe Creative Suite to design for social media, email marketing campaigns, web platforms, paid advertising and printed media. You’ll be someone with a  strong management skills, an ability to juggle multiple projects and work to tight deadlines. Experience working in charities, health organisations, or advocacy groups would be an advance, but not essential.

We're looking for 2 kind, compassionate and resilient Specialist Support Workers to join our Mental Health service in Tower Hamlets.

£29,500.18 per annum, working 40 hours per week.

Specialist Support Workers help to enable vulnerable customers living at the scheme to manage their tenancies, mental/ physical health and wellbeing and assist them to move to social housing within the community. It is a step-down service with a short licence tenancy up to 28 days.

The shift pattern for this role consist of: early shift 9am to 5pm and late shift 12pm to 8pm. Weekends and bank holidays 9am to 5pm

The contract for this role is expected to end: 31st March 2026

What you'll do:
* Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Manager
* Conducting regular flat checks and medication spot checks.
* Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
* Create support plans / risk assessment plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
* Support customers to access local activities and services to maintain and improve health and well-being, avoid hospital admission, support to access and maximise welfare benefits
* Support customers to undertake activity of daily living (ADL), including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation and maintain their home.
* Link customers immediately with Green House to secure appropriate accommodation. Maintain regular contact with Green House.
* Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community in Hackney

Digital Campaigns Officer

Position Objective:

To implement and support digital campaign advocacy programmes for PETA and other PETA entities, including e-mail marketing programmes and online petitions

Hybrid in London or remote (with monthly attendance to the London office)

Reports To:

Digital Campaigns Manager

Salary:

£30,000 - £32,000

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Support the advocacy e-mail programme by writing, building, and/or sending e-mail marketing broadcasts on behalf of PETA and other PETA entities  to increase engagement with or awareness of campaigns
• Maintain and regularly update digital campaign action alerts, which may include updating campaign targets, ensuring the accuracy of the text, and writing campaign updates
• Build and publish action alerts or petitions on PETA’s and other PETA entities’ websites
• Analyse and test the success of e-mail engagement
• Track and analyse the success of action alerts
• Launch and analyse the performance of Facebook ads
• Problem solve technical problems related to action alerts and emails
• Assist the digital campaigns manager with e-mail list management, data hygiene, and growth
• Write blogs to raise awareness of PETA’s campaigns and animal rights issues
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Experience in e-mail marketing and marketing automation
• Knowledge of Google Analytics 4 preferred
• Knowledge of Facebook ads preferred
• Knowledge of HTML an advantage but not essential
• Intermediate knowledge of photo editing using Photoshop or Canva
• Experience with e-campaigning tools such as Engaging Networks preferred
• Knowledge of the latest digital marketing trends
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic with a focus on efficiency, patience, a positive attitude, and innovative ideas
• French and/or Dutch language skills are a strong advantage but not a requirement
• Knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Adherence to a vegan lifestyle is strongly preferred
