Frazzled is a small mental health and wellbeing charity founded by Ruby Wax OBE, that provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where people who are feeling frazzled and overwhelmed by the stresses of modern life can meet on a regular basis to talk and share their personal stories. 

We run our free meetings online every single day of the year for anyone who needs them, and anyone can book and be included to talk, share, listen and to feel heard.

As part of our exciting plans for growth, we are seeking a Fundraising Lead to drive the organisation’s fundraising to fulfil our mission and play a key role in supporting the next phase of Frazzled’s growth and development. 

You will be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy with a range of fundraising activities focusing primarily on trusts and foundations but also individual donors, corporate partners and fundraising campaigns.

This is an exciting, creative and flexible opportunity for the right person. The ideal candidate is someone with a demonstrable successful track record in fundraising, alongside the skills of a talented and persuasive communicator and relationship builder. They will be creative, solution focussed, willing to get stuck in and have good humour.

MAIN TASKS

Fundraising

• Lead on developing and delivering an annual fundraising strategy to support our ambitious plans for growth, securing a minimum of £250k per year from Trusts and Foundations, individual donors, fundraising events and campaigns, and corporate partnerships. 
• Research and generate a pipeline of funding applications, including multi-year grant opportunities from Trusts and Foundations
• Lead on writing compelling applications and conversations with funders, talking persuasively and informatively about Frazzled’s work and impact
• Work with the CEO and trustees to develop new relationships with individual donors and strengthen partnerships with existing supporters
• Work with the CEO and Head of Training and Programmes to develop new opportunities for corporate sponsorship and partnerships
• Lead on organising fundraising events such as dinners with major funders and initiate and develop other opportunities for fundraising.
• Lead on Frazzled’s annual Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign and identify any other fundraising campaign opportunities throughout the year, with support from the Project Support and Administration Officer
• Prepare regular reports and updates for our funders and trustees, engaging them with our work and the impact of their support
• Ensure that Frazzled’s fundraising work is GDPR compliant and meets best practice standards.

Other:

• Work with and support the Project Support and Administrative Officer in relevant fundraising tasks, delegating where appropriate.
• Participation in other projects/initiatives as required as a core member of the management team
• A willingness to engage fully with our programme to ensure the post holder can speak confidently about delivery
• Work with the CEO and team to develop innovative and compelling ways to articulate the impact Frazzled has on its community
• Develop and maintain appropriate databases for recording our fundraising work

Person Specification:

• Proven experience of successfully developing and implementing a fundraising strategy
• A demonstrable track record in writing successful funding applications and securing funds, including multi-year grants, from grant-making organisations
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills demonstrating ability to produce persuasive and compelling copy and content
• A natural relationship builder with ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
• Strategic thinker and ability to turn ideas into action
• Pragmatic, project management approach to work and ability to meet regular, competing deadlines

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

As the Practitioner Psychologist/Psychotherapist delivering the partnership with the British Red Cross you will be based in two BRC Refugee Support services in Leicester and Derby whilst remaining part of the Helen Bamber Foundation Team. You will be responsible, with support from the senior Helen Bamber Foundation clinical team, for delivering assessments of individuals referred by the BRC Senior Psychosocial Practitioner. You will support effective referrals into local mental health services, and, where treatment cannot be provided elsewhere and would have significant benefits, deliver a range of therapeutic interventions to a small number of BRC clients. You will provide and support outreach and training of local health care providers to increase their capacity to support trauma survivors.

This role will include delivery of highly specialised psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes, provision of appropriate evidence-based therapies, delivery of training to local mental health providers as well as to staff from non-clinical backgrounds who have significant client contact, internal relationship and partnership building, monitoring of outcomes, and potentially the supervision of a trainee clinical psychologist on a final year specialist placement. The role will include input into partnership development, policy, research and fundraising.

We are looking for someone who is committed to working therapeutically with individuals who have experienced human rights abuses and who have developed trauma spectrum disorders as a result. In addition to proven experience in working therapeutically with this client group, the candidate will have a passion for human rights work beyond the individual client work, and a desire to contribute to effecting change at a policy level. This role requires the ability to react and respond creatively and appropriately to the needs of the service and the partnership. You will be required to travel to London occasionally to participate in meetings, professional development and other activities (this travel will be reimbursed).

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide specialist psychological assessments and deliver psychological therapies to clients of the BRC Refugee Support services in Leicester and Derby (and where approved other services in the East Midlands);

· Contribute to the monitoring of activity and outcomes from the partnership;

· Work closely with the BRC Senior Psychosocial Practitioner to develop training and outreach for the local mental health providers and where appropriate the BRC Refugee Support service teams;

· Train in the preparation of medico-legal reports and contribute to the preparation of these reports for clients of the East Midlands BRC Refugee Support services;

· Develop and carry out audits and research projects relevant to the Helen Bamber Foundation or the partnership (in collaboration with the BRC Senior Psychological Practitioner and the Director of Therapy and Executive Director of Clinical and Counter-Trafficking);

· Provide internal and external training in collaboration with the HBF clinical management team;

· Supervise junior staff; and

· Liaise with other non-statutory and statutory organisations on matters of clinical care and policy.

· Where applicable, contribute to policy and position statements with other members of the Helen Bamber Foundation and the British Red Cross and represent the partnership at conferences and other events.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Strategy Execution: Works closely with the UK Managing Director, incorporating programmatic priorities for developing key funding partnerships, to align and execute the trusts and foundations fundraising strategy.
• Strategic Growth & Income Diversification: Supports the development of and executes a growth strategy to increase trust and foundation income, leveraging both existing and new opportunities, including institutional fundraising and government funding where relevant.
• Prospecting & Pipeline Development: Proactively identifies, researches, and cultivates new trust and foundation prospects to expand the current portfolio and drive significant new revenue growth in alignment with fundraising targets.
• Relationship Management & Stewardship: Establishes, nurtures, and manages strong relationships with trust and foundation donors, ensuring tailored engagement, timely reporting, and strategic alignment with donor priorities to maximize long-term support.
• Proposal & Fund Development: Leads the development and submission of compelling funding proposals to generate revenue, while ensuring collaboration with the global proposal development enablement function for high-value (£100k+) opportunities. Edits concepts, proposals, pitch decks and stewardships materials. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with WBR’s global Development & Marcomm and proposal development team to source insights, data, and programmatic information that strengthen proposals and enhance donor engagement, ensuring UK efforts align with international fundraising strategies.

The Role

The Trust had an income of £4.7m in year ending March 2024, excluding an exceptional legacy of £2.2m. To enable the charity to push ahead with this vital work to restore the natural environment across Staffordshire, income needs to be increased to £10m by 2030.

The Digital Marketing Lead will be the key contact for digital communications and marketing within the organisation, providing input into annual budgets and plans from the perspective of their expertise.

Operations Manager - Support Services (Mental Health) 

Birmingham 

Salary: £50,087 per annum 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We offer a wide range of services - from those delivered in partnership with the NHS and Birmingham City Council, through to support to marginalised communities.

This role will be responsible for the Operational Management of three contracts: 

Birmingham Mind’s Vulnerable Adults Services are funded by Birmingham City Council and provide mental health support to the citizens of Birmingham by helping them in their own homes and providing supported accommodation for those in serious need. 

Intensive Community Rehabilitation Team (ICRT) is co-located with clinical staff from Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust (BSMHT). The service works closely with commissioners, other NHS professionals, and service users to offer an alternative to inpatient rehabilitation, especially to Community Recovery Units, to facilitate the early discharge of existing rehabilitation inpatients locally. 

Our Operations Managers work at a strategic and managerial level, supporting the service managers, working closely with Birmingham Mind’s Senior Leadership Team, and maintaining productive relationships with commissioners and related roles. 

A successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, and significant experience of beneficiary involvement. This role will suit someone who enjoys variety and challenge in their work, with no two days the same. The successful applicant will be working in a team of people passionate about delivering the best mental healthcare and support.

We are looking for a new Team Leader to join our team in.  We are seeking applicants who have transferable skills, a willingness to learn and a desire to help those in need of support.

About the role?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our team covering a variety of health boards.  You will be a passionate supporter of quality driven, outcome centric, advocacy provision and in coaching others to achieve the exacting standards of excellence in advocacy required to support our clients.
 
About you
We are looking for a strong and resilient leader with experience of managing a team. Desirably you will have worked or volunteered in a welfare, supporting role, or caring for adults or young people who have support needs. 

You will be committed to driving high performance and practice standards by actively engaging with our Practice Management team to interpret data. Thereby, making informed decisions and ensuring that the highest standards of advocacy are achieved.

You will ensure a culture of learning and continuous development through a mix of team and supervision meetings, and reflective practice.

You will be experienced in managing risks relating to the safety and wellbeing of staff members and the safeguarding of service users. 

How will you make a difference?
You will be responsible for ensuring your team delivery of the highest standards of advocacy, ensuring that all contact with clients is outcome driven.

You will support your team and ensure that they have the necessary skills to make a difference in peoples lives on a daily basis.  Assisting them to grow in confidence and empowering them to assist those in need of support.

You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with people across the organisation to assist you and your team, fostering a learning culture where all views are respected.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 
VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community. 
When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).  
VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.
