As part of our new strategy, we have launched a revised DIY fundraising journey and new fundraising volunteer roles which will help leap-forward our ability to beat blood cancer. This role will be responsible for maintaining relationships with our current network of regional fundraising volunteers whilst growing our volunteer and community group network.

Working alongside dedicated colleagues, this is the perfect role for someone looking to put their experience of working with regional supporters and in providing first-class supporter stewardship to use in helping us develop our team. You will be an integral part of our Regional Relationships Team and a member of our wider Public Fundraising team, as we seek to deliver transformational growth in our income. You will enjoy the active support and buy-in of senior colleagues, the Executive Team and other senior volunteers who are all committed to achieving our fundraising goals. We are seeking an experienced fundraiser who enjoys building relationships internally and externally, and who is driven to help us build our regional fundraising programme.

This is a homebased role, and you will be expected to travel across your region, therefore you must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle insured for business use. Travel across Home Counties North region on a regular basis to meet supporters and key stakeholders (Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire), as well as national travel 6-8 times a year.

The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity. 

Helping to coordinate events, support fundraising initiatives and implement new ideas, you’ll support your people, stations, and offices to raise awareness of the Charity and achieve and exceed income targets, as well as working with local businesses and people to maximise our fundraising potential.

As the Helping Rhino Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the charity’s fundraising goals through multiple income streams. There will be a focus on stewarding and growing the charity’s major donor database (both individual and corporate), delivery of successful engagement and fundraising events and producing creative online appeals. The role will also require the successful candidate to drive income from legacies and guide the Charity and Fundraising Administrator to deliver our community fundraising and every day giving targets.

Every year, thousands of young people in the UK find themselves homeless and it's a problem that this charity strives to tackle. This role is accountable for developing and shaping the data and insight capability across our Helpline Services, Income Maximisation and Journey Improvement strands of the Financial Inclusion programme, working across all 4 nations and using this evidence to help ensure that people in crisis can access timely and high-quality advice. 

The role utilises subject matter knowledge to provide specialist data and insight analysis on demand, investment and performance on national and local services and partnerships, providing clear and actionable insights to drive informed decision making to help deliver improved experience and outcomes for people in crisis.  The post works closely with the food bank network, partners and key teams across the organisation to implement the financial inclusion strategy, whilst also leading on with data and insight requirements of Operations, Fundraising, Strategy & Impact, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Participation and Policy & Research colleagues to achieve our vision of a UK without the need for food banks.

Role responsibilities

Animal Equality is an international animal protection organisation working with society, governments and companies to end cruelty to farmed animals. Animal Equality has offices in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and India.

Animal Equality releases investigative materials captured from inside factory farms and slaughterhouses, exposing the conditions that farmed animals face around the world. We publish our findings on television, in newspapers and online. Animal Equality also advocates for political change. Our current campaigns include a UK ban on foie gras imports, increased enforcement of existing animal protection laws, legal protections for farmed fish, and Government subsidies for transitioning towards a plant-based food system.

We focus on farmed animals because of the scale and severity of the issue. More than a billion animals are confined and killed for human consumption every year in the UK. Farmed animals also often suffer in some of the worst ways: pigs typically endure painful mutilations, many chickens die of heart attacks, fish are confined in underwater cages, and some farmed animals are victims of deliberate abuse and neglect. But the problem is solvable! By utilising effective campaigning strategies, Animal Equality is having an impact for animals around the world and building a future where all animals are respected and protected and are no longer exploited for human consumption.

About the role

An experienced advocate with a sound understanding of the UK political system and legislative process, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be responsible for leading on Animal Equality’s life-saving legal advocacy campaigns on behalf of farmed animals.

Working as part of a highly effective team, within a fast-paced environment, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will develop and implement advocacy strategies that influence public policy with a goal to advance Animal Equality UK’s mission: to end the exploitation of farmed animals.

An excellent communicator, with an ability to convey complex information in a digestible way, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be a professional with a proven track record of policy programme delivery. The role involves engaging with policymakers, building relationships with coalition partners, overseeing public affairs initiatives, and influencing Government policy to create meaningful changes for farmed animals.

• Contribute to the organisation’s policy programmes: Garner reliable intel, conduct in-depth research, and carry out robust data analysis to inform Animal Equality UK’s ongoing policy and advocacy efforts for animals. Salary band £32,500-£35,000, depending on experience. This is a remote working opportunity (UK-based candidates only); colleagues are expected to attend mandatory monthly meet-ups in central London.

What are the responsibilities of the Independent Child Trafficking Guardian:

Support for Children: Independent Child Trafficking Guardians support children who have experienced trafficking and exploitation, working alongside other professionals to ensure that children receive appropriate support in line with their needs. 

 Within this role some of your responsibilities will be: 

• Supporting professionals, including Social Workers, Police, Youth Justice Teams, Foster Carers and Residential Support Workers, to identify children exploited through modern slavery and refer them into the Service 
• Provide advice, guidance and information about child trafficking and initial safety planning to professionals through 1:1 case consultations or attendance at multi-agency meetings 
• Develop initial needs assessments and action plans 
• Support practitioners from partner agencies to meet the needs of children who have experienced trafficking and exploitation
• Manage a substantial caseload of young people supported through direct and indirect work, working within the requirements of service Key Performance Indicators and in line with Home Office Guidance.
• Support children through face-to-face contact and online platforms using creative approaches to ensure that children receive an excellent standard of specialist support within the boundaries of the role.
• Identify and respond to safeguarding, alerting managers to concerns and working with staff from partner agencies to deliver a robust safeguarding response.

Our fundraising team at Action Medical Research, are achieving rapid and sustainable income growth.  You will lead the Supporter Service team and will be responsible for excellent customer service and supporter experience; for overseeing and delivering the efficient and compliant collection, analysis and management of supporter data to inform decision-making; and you will work closely with the wider fundraising team to maximise the impact of supporter data, to help the charity raise as much money as possible to fund medical research to help babies and children.  The role will include overseeing and delivering data imports and exports, data selections, monthly gift aid claims, accurate data coding, data flows from the charity’s website into the Raiser’s Edge fundraising database and managing the charity’s outsourced fulfilment house.
