The Role

These awards equip young people with the skills and behaviours they need to become leaders through the power of music. The Music Leader Level 1 programme has just been launched, signing up over 25 schools as centres set to engage 3,000 young people, with a pipeline of 150 more. The Music Leader Level 2 is set to launch in January 2025.

As the Business Development Executive, your primary focus will be to drive sales growth by building strong partnerships with schools, colleges and other independent training providers nationwide. Age UK Islington is developing a new befriending service in the coming months. As part of this development, we have an exciting opportunity for a part-time role as a Befriending Coordinator.

This will involve supporting all aspects of service development, partnership building, volunteer recruitment, training and management and matching volunteers to clients for home visits, telephone befriending and/or activity-based befriending. The post holder will also be responsible for case recording, monitoring and service evaluation.

The role is for 15 hours per week; this may increase to 21 hours per week dependant on the success of future funding applications. There is flexibility around when you work these hours.

Candidates must have an interest in working with older people, excellent communication skills, organisational skills, experience of facilitating training and able to maintain accurate records and produce monitoring and evaluation reports. About the Role

Camden Kaleidoscope, located in London, is an innovative, specialist-supported accommodation service focusing on mental health and complex needs. As a Service Manager you will lead a dedicated team to provide trauma-informed mental health support to young people between ages 16-24, an understanding and/or experience of trauma-informed practice would be advantageous. About the Masonic Charitable Foundation

The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is one of the UK’s leading charities, providing a range of benevolent support to individuals and awarding grants to local and national charities.

This is a new position, which will play a critical role in the development and delivery of activity aimed at getting the public involved in our flagship Hearts Need More Westminster influencing campaign. The role will also provide campaigns support for our work to influence the Devolved Administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland on key issues affecting heart patients in each of the four UK nations.

You’ll work closely with teams across the BHF to proactively spot opportunities to mobilise our supporters and cross-promote other BHF campaigns, including our Customer Journey and Marketing teams, and will be responsible for drafting copy in multiple formats for warm and cold audiences. You’ll also involve and engage people with lived experience in our campaigns work, working closely with our Heart Stories and Patient and Public Involvement teams.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and one of four UK offices (Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh or London). There will be an expectation to travel to the London office (if this is not your preferred location) at least once a month, with some travel to each of the other nation offices throughout the year.

Communication and Operations Officer

Orangutan Foundation, founded in 1990, has a unique and diverse approach to orangutan conservation. Orangutan Foundation operates its own programmes in Central Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo and our work is carried out by a team of dedicated Indonesian staff. We work in partnership with The Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Communication and Operations Officer Role

The Communication and Operations Officer will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the Orangutan Foundation’s UK office and in raising the profile of this international conservation charity. Working as part of a small team, reporting directly to the Director and working closely with the Finance Manager, this multi-dimensional role requires a motivated and proactive individual, who can manage their own workload and has excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

1. Develop and grow digital online content. Create digital communications and develop social media content, create website blogs, monthly e-news and members’ biannual newsletter. Manage annual online appeals ie The Big Give

2. Work with the Director and Finance Manager to deliver exceptional member and donor stewardship

3. Maintain and update the charity’s website and online shop. Process shop orders, adoptions and donations from various online channels

4. Respond to enquiries of supporters and members of the public

5. Ensure the charity’s database is kept up to date and accurately maintained

6. Attend charity events as and when required

Essential experience and requirements:

1. Educated to degree level

2. Excellent written communications skills

3. Ability to create compelling digital communications about the Orangutan Foundation’s conservation field programmes

4. Knowledge of wildlife conservation

5. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Desirable experience
