As the Trusts and Statutory Manager, you will manage high value Trusts relationships that match Asthma + Lung UK’s core and programmatic priorities, both through providing excellent stewardship for existing funders and through the acquisition and cultivation of new Trusts or Statutory partners. You will develop and maintain a strong pipeline of medium to high value prospects (£50k+).

They are looking for a proactive and relationship-led fundraiser with excellent written communication skills. You will have demonstrable experience of creating bespoke written proposals and reports for trusts and statutory supporters, with a track record of building and managing a pipeline of high value prospects.

St Joseph’s Hospice in East London is one of the largest hospices in the UK. Job Context

YMCA England & Wales is the national body of the YMCA in England & Wales, supporting, developing and representing just over 100 local YMCA’s, ranging from small community based organisations to nationally relevant specialists.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that YMCA has influence with key decision makers through its campaigns and policy positions. The post holder will support YMCAs policy function through ensuring we have a range of public affairs activities to engage and build relationships with Government, Parliament, Civil Servants, other tiers of government and relevant organisations. The post holder will also provide a full range of public affairs advice and support to the YMCA Federation.

Scope and Limits of Authority:

 

The Senior Public Affairs Officer will report into the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager. The post will have no formal budgetary or line management responsibilities other than ad hoc volunteers and interns.

The post holder must operate at all times in accordance with the approved policies and procedures of YMCA England & Wales and act in accordance with the values and ethos of the organisation as outlined in the Code of Conduct.  In addition, all employees must adhere to the performance management processes and systems approved by the Board of Trustees.

The post holder will support the Safeguarding, health and well-being and safety of staff, volunteers and supporters we work with, some of whom may be classed as vulnerable people or adults at risk. About Us

About the role

The successful applicant will work closely with the CEO, the management team, and Trustees to implement, develop and deliver a fundraising strategy that meets the charity’s challenging income targets. This post will play a vital role in helping us to deliver our range of throat cancer support programmes to patients, families, as well as to medical professionals and the scientific research sectors. • Specialise in multiple digital platforms, becoming an in-house expert across our digital estate, including X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Monitor and analyse digital metrics to improve channel effectiveness, advising colleagues on digital best practices
• Stay current with digital communication trends as well as legal and best practices
• Collaborate with colleagues on integrated marketing and communications campaigns, including paid activities
• Ensure data integrity and provide performance reporting, building knowledge to monitor target audiences and industry trends
• Develop and maintain RSC brand consistency across all digital communications

At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge or London office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role. What we are looking for:

• Degree level and/or a relevant communications/marketing qualification and/or relevant communications/marketing experience.
• Experience within an organisation of some or all of the following: social media management, digital advertising, content creation, email marketing.
• Experience of using social platforms as digital marketing tools – specifically the range of organic posting methods; social posting tools and measurement; paid promotion and measurement
• Experience of creating and using video on digital platforms, with a professional understanding of video content, video production and best practise for content on YouTube (including – but not limited to – closed captions, SEO tagging etc.)
• Experience creating and publishing content for corporate social media accounts such as X, Facebook/insta reels and LinkedIn, and using social media analytics tools to optimise social strategies.
• Experience of using leading email platforms and marketing automation systems, email automation and trigger/behaviour based email communications.
• Experience in measuring and reporting on the performance of digital content and channels.
• Experience of using website content management systems and knowledge of search engine marketing and SEO (search engine optimisation)
• Demonstrable interest in how the digital environment is evolving and an appreciation of its role in the delivery of effective and efficient organisational communications and marketing, together with an understanding of complementary disciplines such as advertising and ecommerce

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was born out of the tragic story of Suzy Lamplugh, a 25-year-old estate agent who went missing whilst at work in 1986, was never found, and was eventually declared deceased in 1993. The Trust was set up in Suzy’s name and continues to be a pioneer in reducing the risk and prevalence of abuse, aggression and violence - with a specific focus on stalking and harassment – through education, campaigning and support.

You will be working for a growing charity that delivers high value impact to those we train, those we educate, those we support and to the general public through our campaigning and policy work. Our Stalking Helpline offers support and advice to thousands of victims of stalking every year, while our bespoke advocacy teams work closely with partners and stakeholders across the Violence Against Women and Girls’ (VAWG) sector, the criminal justice system, and both statutory and non-statutory services to ensure our clients can live a live free from abuse and fear.

We are an organisation that has:

• been responsible for training over one million lone and frontline workers across all sectors in personal safety;
• campaigned heavily and played a pivotal role in driving changes in the law to better protect people across the UK; and
• supported over 75,000 victims and survivors of stalking since the inception of our National Stalking Helpline and stalking advocacy service.

 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is about making a difference, supporting the most vulnerable, standing up against what is wrong, driving systemic change, and holding decision makers to account. We work hard so our beneficiaries sleep better at night, so families can reunite at the end of the working day, and so that victims of harassment and stalking are given the chance to regain control of their situations.

• As Director of Finance, HR and Governance, you will lead, continually improve and be held accountable for the Trust’s financial performance.   
• You will have overall responsibility for HR and core areas of organisational support including IT, GDPR, and office administration.  
• You will be a pivotal member of the Executive Team, providing strategic leadership in developing and managing Finance, HR and Governance.  
• You will contribute to the implementation and delivery of the Trust’s strategy to secure long-term financial health and growth, enabling us to achieve our vision and mission.
