Unlocked Graduates exists to break cycles of reoffending, with a particular focus on breaking the link between disadvantage and reoffending. Currently prison is not a place which successfully does this: the average prisoner has 16 previous convictions and 48 percent of prisoners reoffend within a year of release. This is the problem which Unlocked Graduates exists to fix.

Prison officers are the agent of change for many prisoners. Of all the staff in prisons, they spend the most time with prisoners, they set the prevailing culture in prison, and we know that the most effective prison officers have a hugely positive impact on prisoners. Unlocked Graduates develops outstanding individuals to lead rehabilitation, and in doing so raises the status of the prison officer and makes the frontline of prisons a place where cycles of reoffending can be broken.

We have successfully recruited, trained and placed six cohorts of over 750 high potential graduates into prisons across England and Wales. We are in the Times Top 100 Graduate programmes and feedback on our participants has been extremely positive: they are doing a great job. Over the next few years, we are planning further expansion. We want to do more work in the prisons we are in, and work with more prisoners in more prisons.

The Role

This role sits within the Unlocked Programme Team, which holds responsibility for designing and running training for our new cohorts as well as supporting them across their two years, to enable them to have the most impact possible.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate to support our Programme Team with a wide variety of tasks. The successful candidate will gain an insight into: delivery, curriculum, our work with our Ambassador community as well as the specific training required to become a prison officer.

Our main office is based in London (remote working may be able to be accommodated but this will be discussed with candidates on an individual basis). The programme is national and so some travel is required to Birmingham and Manchester.

About the role:

Working closely with the Major Crime Police Units, Senior Investigators and Family Liaison Officers, you will provide a pivotal role to support clients through the Criminal Justice System. As well as by phone and Zoom, you will meet families in their own homes or community, therefore travelling across the area you work will be essential. They are looking for an experienced treasurer to support the Board, CEO and Finance Director in the successful delivery of the charity’s financial responsibilities. Board meetings and time commitment

The The Board ordinarily meets four times per year in March, May, August and November. We are seeking additional experienced Associate Independent Investigating Officers (IO) for Complaints, to increase our capacity to respond to referrals from Local Authorities to provide an independent element to the formal Stage 2 investigations under the Children Act 1989.

The IO will lead investigations, and will give the complainant (who may be a child, young person or adult) the opportunity to express their view, ensure the child or young person’s rights and best interests are at the centre of the investigation and that the investigation/review process is open and transparent. They write a report on the investigation/review, which is submitted to the referring agency.

The Job Description document sets out the expectations for an Associate Independent Person for Complaints (IPC) who is approved by Coram Voice. IPCs are independent, freelance and responsible for their own work. Nevertheless, IPCs are accountable to the organisation for their professional standards and are expected to comply with Coram Voice Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines.

Please Note: the nature of associate work means that we cannot guarantee a regular amount of work, and complaints will be allocated dependent on the associate’s availability, location and the needs and demands of the individual case. In your role as HR Officer who will look after the day to day HR operations from recruitment to onboarding and L&D. This is a diverse role and your duties will include but will not be limited to;

The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for professionals working in this area. As a multi-disciplinary professional membership organisation, we set clinical guidance and standards, provide training and lifelong education, and champion safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare across the life course for all.

The Clinical Quality (CQ) programme and the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) at the FSRH develop a range of evidenced-based clinical guidance and standards documents and respond to evidence enquiries. The Faculty’s Clinical Quality portfolio includes the running of the Clinical Quality Board and its sub-committees: the Clinical Standards Committee, the Quality Assurance and Surveillance Committee and the Research Group.

Can you help us?
We are seeking an experienced administrator to join the team supporting the work of the Clinical Quality portfolio and its four committees. Specifically, the postholder will provide support to the running of the Clinical Quality Board, the Clinical Standards Committee, the Quality Assurance and Surveillance Committee and the SRH Research Group.

As part of the team the postholder will work closely with the Vice President and Director of Clinical Quality, the FSRH Clinical Quality Committee Chairs and members, as well as wider clinical experts and stakeholders. Key duties will include co-ordinating the work of the committees including liaising with the Chairs to plan the agendas, tracking and managing actions and taking notes. The postholder will also help facilitate the process of developing and publishing clinical standards.

The role:

Administrative and planning support
• Maintain filing systems, preparing and checking documents, ensuring that their presentation meets requirements.
• Maintaining databases, spreadsheets and other records systems, contribute to tracking of progress ensuring deadlines are met.
• Servicing meetings, including arranging teleconferencing facilities, travel, preparing agendas and papers, minute taking, liaising with attendees and ensuring timely distribution of papers across the four committees in the clinical quality portfolio.
• Supporting the dissemination of FSRH standards including developing lists of stakeholders to distribute each new standard.
• Providing efficient and effective administrative support to CQ including the Vice President and Director of Clinical Quality.
• Supporting the recruitment process for Guideline Development Group members.
• Support the process of consultation on clinical standards and guidelines including maintaining stakeholder databases.
• Checking that the relevant paperwork for projects and committee meetings has been received, chasing for contributions as appropriate.
• Escalating risks and issues as they arise.

Communication
• Liaising with other FSRH teams and committee members regarding smooth running of committee meetings.
• Supporting liaison with external organisations and FSRH staff on matters relating to the work of CQ.
• Maintaining effective, co-operative working relationships with external stakeholders, committee members and staff members within FSRH.
• Responding to written and verbal enquiries from a range of external organisations, ensuring these are handled appropriately and forwarded as necessary to the appropriate person/team.
• Liaising with the web team to ensure that documents are loaded onto the FSRH website, and that information on the website is accurate.
• Liaising with the FSRH External Affairs and Events teams for the smooth running of webinars and conferences relating to the work of the CQ team.
• Any other duties considered necessary for the role.

You will be:
• Educated to A Level standard or equivalent skills demonstrated
• Organised with a logical approach to tasks
• Willing to learn about SRH and clinical quality

You will have:
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills in particular knowledge of Office 365
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, multitask and work flexibly
• Strong attention to detail and is thorough in error-checking work
• High standards of numeracy and literacy
• Good stakeholder and interpersonal skills across a range of professionals and levels within an organisation

• Previous experience working with committees including agenda setting, minute taking and tracking actions

• Knowledge or experience of working in the NHS or in a clinical setting
