This is a unique opportunity to manage our enterprise hub called Tottenham Green Enterprise Centre (TGEC) and to be involved in the support at our site in Enfield, Angel Yard. 

The enterprise hubs host an incubation programme which includes subsidised space, business support, mentoring and guidance and a programme of prestart enterprise support, business training and events and which focus largely on young people. 

This role involves continuing to manage the hub locally and creating a hive of enterprise activity, premises management and client recruitment and support. The right candidate must be a self-starter and able to work on their own. They must have excellent people skills, enterprise knowledge and be able to develop and support the young people we are working with as well as developing local partnerships. They will be expected to meet targets including building occupancy, increased survival, and prosperity of the businesses in their charge. Ultimately this exciting role is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person who is able to offer great opportunities for young start-ups in Tottenham who engage with Launch It. 

Please be aware this is a hybrid role. You will be expected to manage your time over your working days focusing on business support and building management at Tottenham Green Enterprise Centre for three days one week and four days the next week.

There is also an expectation that you will work on a rotational basis every other Saturday covering our site in Enfield Angel Yard as well as making yourself available for special events when they are running at Angel Yard on Saturdays.

This is a role that needs to be based on site with few opportunities for home working unless agreed in advance.

Our young people are supported by an able team of staff, and by professional volunteer Leaders recruited every year. The postholder will support the Programmes team in the recruitment of those Leaders. They will also deliver or assist in the delivery of several essential processes to help us meet all technical and industry standards to provide safe, rewarding expeditions.

 About the role

As the Hospital Based Youth Worker, you will be supporting young people, aged 11-19, presenting at UCLH emergency department or who are inpatients within various areas of the hospital for whom there are safeguarding or there psycho-social support needs identified. The work with young people will be primarily hospital based, but you will also support some young people for longer term support in the community. You will engage with and support young people with their immediate needs and connect them with relevant community services for further support. Working in partnership with other professionals you will support young people’s holistic needs to enable long term improvement of healthy behaviours and opportunities to thrive.

To succeed in this role, you need to be proactive, a people person and passionate about supporting young people. You will have extensive experience working with young people who are vulnerable and have a wide range of needs, and a strong understanding of the support they need. You will ideally have a thorough understanding and knowledge of services for young people in Camden and Islington and other London boroughs and both community and local authority-based partners. Resilience, self- reflection and flexibility are all essential to this role and you will participate regularly in clinical supervision to broaden your practice and emotional literacy.

You must also be a skilled communicator: as comfortable building a relationship with a young person as you are liaising with our clinical colleagues in hospital and community-based partners. You’ll be keen to keep learning, seizing training opportunities at Redthread and continuously reflecting upon and improving your practice.

Childhood Cancer International (CCI) is a global association made up of  parent, survivor and civil organisations dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with cancer, along with their families. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Fundraiser to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in securing international grants and funding to support our programmes and initiatives around the world. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in successfully obtaining international grants and securing funding from diverse sources.

Base: International Scope, Home-based (with preference to individual based in upper-middle or high income country), with occasional travel.

Responsibilities:

1. Research and Identify Funding Opportunities

• Conduct thorough research to identify international grant opportunities, funding agencies/foundations/institutions and other potential donors.

• Monitor international grant databases, donor directories, and relevant funding portals to stay updated on available funding opportunities.

• Evaluate eligibility criteria, guidelines and application requirements of potential grants and funding sources

2. Grant Proposal Development

• With the ED and the CCI Board (and in collaboration with the global Programme Manager) to develop targeted and compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals.

• Prepare high-quality proposals/grant applications, including budgets, project narratives, monitoring framework for impact assessments, and any additional documentation required.

• Tailor proposals to meet the specific requirements and expectations of each funding opportunity.

3. Relationship Building and Networking

• Cultivate relationships with international funding agencies, philanthropic organisations, corporate partners, and other potential global donors to expand CCI's network and funding base.

• With the ED, identify and create new relationships with high net-worth individuals to expand CCI's funding base. 

• Utilize networks, platforms and other avenues to enhance the CCI brand and increase our network and relationships towards attracting potential donors.

• Assist the ED in developing an effective fundraising strategy aligned with CCI's strategic plan.

• If and when required, attend conferences, workshops, and fundraising events to build connections, to identify and develop funding opportunities.

• With ED, maintain regular communication with existing donors, keeping them informed about CCI's progress and impact.

4. Grant Management and Reporting

• Ensure compliance with grant agreements, including tracking deliverables, reporting deadlines, and financial requirements.

• Work closely with ED and CCI members to provide accurate and timely progress reports to donors.

• With the ED, maintain records of grants, funding applications, and donor interactions. 

5. Marketing 

• With the ED, evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communication techniques and assist in make necessary adjustments.

• Reach a greater number of supporters and donors through innovative marketing strategies; including, with the ED, the creation of new and innovative fundraising campaigns, or the linking of current events and campaigns to fundraising outcomes. 

• Collaborate with the ED and the Communications Manager  on the development of communications and marketing materials. 

6. General Fundraising Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with current trends, strategies, and best practices in international fundraising and grant writing.

• Participate in professional development opportunities, training sessions, and workshops to enhance fundraising skills and knowledge, as well as knowledge and understanding of the childhood cancer sector.

• Any other fundraising activity as requested by the ED. 

Qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification, degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant field (for example in international development,  marketing or communications).

• A minimum of proven four years’ experience in international fundraising, grant writing, and securing funding from diverse sources.

• Familiarity with international grant databases, donor directories, and funding portals. You should have an existing network of funders and donors. 

• Research and analytical skills.

• Strong writing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling grant proposals.

• Experience in developing budgets for grant applications.

• Ability to work independently, under pressure and to meet deadlines.

Remuneration and working conditions:

• Remuneration package of €55 000 (Euros) per annum, excluding incentive bonuses 

• 38 hour week, remote work 

• Contract position

• 22 days leave per annum 

• This position may require occasional travel to attend conferences, meetings, and fundraising events (costs of which will be covered by the organisation).

As the Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with referral agencies and leading on all assessments into King George's, ensuring that clients and prospecting clients of SHP receiving a psychologically informed introduction to our service.

In your role, you will maintain a small caseload of clients with a recent and often very entrenched history of rough sleeping who often have difficult and complex relationships with services. You will support the team to make and maintain relationships with external services, and lead on MDT meetings, safeguarding issues, and overseeing in-reach clinics.

Additionally, you will support relevant Service/Team Managers, in providing guidance and advice to Project Workers on relevant housing and support tools and resources. 

You will be 1 of 2 Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker's and part of a large team including: 7 Complex Needs Project Workers; 2 Night Concierges and Night Security; a Complex Need Health Navigator; a Recovery Oppurtunities Co-ordinator (ROC); a Psychologist; 2 Team Managers; 1 Regional Service Manager. We also receive a whole host of inreach at the service including Substance Misuse workers; Occupational Therapists, Nurses and GPs.

• Demonstrable experience of working clients with complex needs such as Mental Health, Substance use or Physical Health needs.

As a Move-On Team Caseworker you will be responsible for helping the team in the development of new housing pathways for our clients, increasing the volume of properties being made available to our services clients, as well as sustaining and developing the relationships already in place with Housing Providers and landlords. You will work with clients to prepare them to access, secure and sustain their new home when they are ready to move on. This includes supporting clients with registrations, bidding, viewings, sign-ups and all aspects of their move.

In your role, you will undertake assessments to identify the readiness of our clients to access independent accommodation and to help them resettle into their new tenancies, which will include practical elements of independent living such as paying rent, setting up and managing utilities, liaising with landlords and other agencies. Additionally, you will support and advise TST colleagues on move-on options and in working with clients to be move-on ready.

Social prescribing expands the options available in Primary Care by creating a ‘managed’ way for referrals of patients with social, emotional and/or practical needs. Patients ca n be linked to a variety of local non-clinical services in the community. These include leisure, social activities, education, welfare, housing and employment advice and support.

This is a key leadership role in this vibrant, user-led charity based in Richmond and Wandsworth. You will be providing leadership and direction to five Team Leads/Managers, as well as leading and directing development to increase the scope and depth of the services we offer. We are looking for innovation as well as sound leadership skills, and professional knowledge of employment law is a given. This part-time (21 hours per week) role is to cover the maternity leave of the current Manager and will be up to 12 months.

Ruils is a charity that supports disabled children and adults to live independently, be part of their community and live life to the full. We provide information, advice, practical support, befriending and accessible activities to our clients and families. We enable individuals to have choice and control over the way in which they get their support.

The Adult Services Team Manager is one of three Team Managers reporting to our Chief Executive Officer. The services managed include Direct Payment support across Richmond and Wandsworth, Befriending and Community Activities, our Benefits and Housing Advice and Information service and our Counselling service.

We constantly research and develop services to meet the identified needs of the community, and this role would suit someone who wants a good level of autonomy to develop new ideas.

The Adult Services Manager works alongside our Children’s Team Manager and our Social Prescribing and Community Development Manager, supported by Finance, Fundraising and Campaigns and Communications Managers.

Purpose of the post

• To be responsible for the management of the Support Services to Direct Payment clients in Richmond and Wandsworth.
• To be responsible for the research and development of adult services in Richmond and Wandsworth.
• To oversee the promotion, monitoring and delivery of the CILS, Pathways and Counselling services.
• To provide leadership and supervision, performance evaluation and general support for all of the Adult Services Team Managers and Leads.
• To be responsible for adult safeguarding and health and safety across the organisation.

Main duties include:

Management of the Direct Payment Support Service

• Leading and managing the Direct Payment Support Service across Richmond and Wandsworth Boroughs through the Direct Payment Leads.
• Providing support to the DP Team Leads to resolve complex DP HR management issues around the area of employment law.
• Supporting the Team Leads in their work with the local authority to set targets for the project, monitoring performance against these targets and identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
• Providing performance data to finance for invoicing purposes.
• Reporting quarterly to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of Trustees.
• Working with the DP Team Leads and the CEO on new DP projects and funding applications as required.

CILS, Pathways and Counselling Teams

• Leading and managing the delivery of the Community Activity, Befriending, Pathways and Counselling services.
• Working with the CILS partners to ensure that the service is meeting local authority targets.
• Reporting as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of Trustees.
• Ensuring the active promotion of the services to potential and existing clients and stakeholders and ensuring representation of Ruils at networking events.
• Working with the CEO and Fundraising Manager to ensure projects are fully funded and demand is well managed.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small charity at a time of big growth. Go Forward Youth was founded by care leavers to provide support to care experienced young people as they transition to adulthood and independence. This is the beginning of a long-term service being delivered and requires developing the plans strategically. Our services aims are to reduce social isolation and improve outcomes for young adults who have recently left the care system by offering a place for them to turn in moments of celebration, loneliness, crisis and offering programmes that support them to develop the skills required for their independence, including an ambitious mix of enterprise training and work experience. This requires presenting to local authorities and third sector organisations to engage young people and develop partnerships with leaving care teams. Our long-term vision is to combat the stigma that surrounds leaving care so that care experienced people feel supported and empowered to achieve their ambitions without barriers to accessing opportunities and ongoing support. We run a busy programme of social activities when other services are closed, in part during the day, evenings and weekends, to enhance personal development, and employability and training skills for care leavers across London and we are looking for a hardworking, confident, experienced youth manager, with long term professional experience in youth work, with innovative ideas and who take responsibility for the development of the targeted youth support, the outreach work, programme development, and strategic development with the engagement of the young adults as we grow the service.

We currently have two core developing services that focus on two principal areas:  

Ø Social support/ peer/ community/ network/ supportive adult role models

Ø Education/entrepreneurship/empowerment/ professional network

1. The GFY, HUB, the Charity’s flagship programme. To create an environment of support for young adults who are ambitious but could be experiencing additional challenges while transitioning into adulthood and who need a network (the right support), and a home-away-from-home (a physical space to go to). When in full operation the HUB will run on Thursday – Sunday 4-9pm (between) and on weekdays (between) 3-9pm. Until we have an established HUB programme your working hours will be 9am to 5pm. These times are specific as other services are closed, and when the young people express feeling the most isolated. Includes the developing Youth Advisory Board (YAB)

2. The OWN IT PROGRAMME, powered by GF +, Own It is an outsourced employment, skills, and training programme for young care leavers, delivered in house. A mix of training ILM Level 3 Enterprise (accredited), product development (industry input), enterprise and entrepreneurship training, and work experience.

OUR CORE SERVICES

We are shaping these two relatively new initiatives, we are finding the right young people (where they are), pitching the initiative to them and service providers such as local authorities, leaving care teams and other key stakeholders.

 We ongoingly continue to acknowledge gaps in support provision to young adults, [particularly care leavers] and subsequently create new programmes/ project offers designed by the Youth Advisory Board (YAB). With a mission to be the collective voice of students, members and alumni who are put to the forefront, with the purpose of developing offers led by them.

Job Purpose:

To support Go-Forward Youth in continuing to develop and deliver a Youth offer targeted at care experienced young people or those on the edge of care.

This is a relatively new role for the charity, now looking for maternity leave 12 month fixed term cover. This role is developed from a previous voluntary role of youth leader and most recently Youth Manager (December, 2023).

Our growing core services to date:

· Annual Christmas in Partnership with Arsenal and Islington Borough Council, usually lead at the Arsenal hub,

· HUB ‘Home-Away-From-Home’ or ‘The space’ (piloted 2019, 2020)

· Education and training support provision. Own It Programme, led by GF +

We have created this role to develop our youth service offer and the management of our service offer, while considering what is needed to grow required in house youth delivery team. It is key in this role to identify the institutions and organisations that we have a shared goal and client group (care leavers, young people) and develop partnerships for collaboration and referrals. The home-away-from-home needs to be fulfilling a crucial gap for care experienced young people, in terms of social support, network, education and employment by listening to what members say they need to move forward. This means engaging the right young people, and acknowledging gaps in the youth provision and areas we can build on. We work to create an environment that comforts and supports, which is also about accountability, autonomy, empowerment, and aspiration. We are looking for a professional to be part of the team, an individual with long standing professional experience of youth work, that understands the challenges and vulnerabilities of care experience. The role includes, managing our Home-Away-From-Home; that supports young people on evenings, weekends, when other services are closed. It would have an element of packaging our offer with the support of the team, presenting, pitching to local authorities and funders.

A goal for this role is to sustain and grow the services and the delivery team across the next two years, by evaluating, piloting, and refining existing models and developing ideas and new regular projects. We are looking for individual that can support the charity to sustain existing models and engage members, by having a steady menu of activities, project, and opportunities on offer.  It is expected that the youth manager will be the designated safeguarding officer, managing activities, risks on and offsite. With a focus on targeted youth engagement in the community, via outreach work, schools, virtual schools, leaving care teams, community links and stakeholders (As we have recently moved to Camden there are many more opportunities). Managing the operations of the day to day running of youth services in the Space and offsite. At present there is a small staff team leading the development and running a small number of weekday drop-in services and programme as we grow our offer in (a physical) space. We are looking for leadership and professional experience of being a Youth Manager, identifying gaps in the youth delivery team and managing a growing staff team including a new youth work role.
