This role is home-based but requires extensive travel within the area. It can be either full or part time.

As a Community-based Energy Adviser, you will focus on supporting and educating individuals and families who face barriers to accessing energy services and may be in fuel poverty. You will be working with people in their homes or advising them at events in their local community. You will support them through the process of managing and reducing debt, accessing funding and engaging with smart technology.

This can be a demanding role – some of your clients will be facing huge challenges – but it is extremely rewarding and you will be making a measurable difference to people’s quality of life. You will give at-risk consumers the knowledge and confidence to be more engaged in their energy use and able to make sound decisions to manage it — ultimately putting money back in their pockets and improving their resilience and wellbeing. The role

We are seeking a dynamic and efficient Events Manager to deliver a world-class and sector-leading portfolio of annual events to support LSHTM’s Strategy to both internal and external audiences.  Events are diverse and include graduation ceremonies for students, conferences and lectures for academics, policymakers and funders, as well as internal community social events. Working within the Communications & Engagement department, the events team provide best practice guidance to others across LSHTM arranging events through a toolkit.

Who we’re looking for

You should have proven experience in event management, including the coordination of staff and financial resources.  You must have excellent organisational skills with ability to multi-tasking to deliver a varied portfolio of events with impact. They will need an exceptional eye for detail, a collaborative and flexible approach with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. An opportunity for a Funding Manager (healthcare) has arisen in a fantastic charity dedicated to supporting improvements to healthcare and transformative research for local health benefit in East London, and beyond.

Location: London. Hybrid working, 3 days at home, 2 in the office.

Salary: From £44,000 (dependant on experience)

As Funding Manager (Healthcare), you will work closely with applicants within key healthcare settings in developing applications and managing a varied portfolio of prior funding, as well as supporting the delivery of the Charity’s healthcare funding strategy.

The Funding Manager (Healthcare) role will be key in ensuring the charity fund impactful healthcare projects. This includes making the most of funding resources by facilitating the assessment and funding of new grants, managing a proportion of current healthcare funding portfolio, and contributing to monitoring progress of a range of healthcare projects.

You will be an integral part of the busy and ambitious Funding & Impact team, building relationships with healthcare professionals and researchers and working closely with a number of other Charity teams to deliver impact.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting the development of successful projects, ideally within an NHS/healthcare setting or Higher Educational Institute and will demonstrate knowledge and show an understanding of the healthcare and life sciences sector. You will have experience of grants administration/management/operations in a healthcare, academic, funding agency or charity setting and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills alongside the ability to build strong relationships with health professionals and healthcare delivery staff.
