An opportunity has arisen for a lead Support worker to work within our Sanctuary crisis intervention and prevention service, based in Fore Street in Enfield. We act as a short-term A&E and Emergency services alternative, providing support to individuals in the Enfield Borough aged 18+. 

This role is to provide leadership and support to the Sanctuary team on shift. The role will:

• Lead shifts during the week, providing support to team members via case management support, escalation, Health and Safety guidance
• Support the Sanctuary Manager to embed processes within the service, and ensure that these are carried out
• Work alongside the Manager and team to ensure that the service is operating to high quality standard.
• Provide support in times of emotional distress for clients. The support worker will provide a calm, supportive presence.

 The role will support clients through co-producing support plans with practical and therapeutic support offerings, as well as contributing to the development of a warm welcoming environment and ‘safe space’ to be.

This position would suit someone with a minimum of 2 years experience of working with people with mild, moderate and severe mental health issues. Ideally experience of supporting people experiencing suicidal ideation. Should have previous experience of supervising or managing staff.

We are currently looking for a Communications and Engagement Business Manager to join the Foundation on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Communications and Engagement Business Manager is there to provide project and business management support to enable the Communications and Engagement leadership team to focus on progressing the work of the business area and leading the wider team. The Business Manager is embedded in the team in order to fully understand priorities, goals and ambitions and help enable the leadership team to achieve them.

Key Resposibilities

• Build an in-depth knowledge of the Communication and Engagement’s leadership priorities in order to help support the business area’s work.   
• Build an in-depth knowledge of partnerships and stakeholders. 
• Project management and administration activities for Communication and Engagement’s projects, monitoring critical paths, milestones, taking on discrete areas of project work as appropriate and making decisions autonomously.  
• Communicate and negotiate projects and liaise with the wider Foundation team and other stakeholders on behalf of the Executive Directors to enable projects and tasks to progress. 
• Proactive diary management for the leadership of the Communication and Engagement Team in conjunction with other Business and Diary Managers where necessary. 
• Keep track of the Foundation’s planning points and rhythms in order to manage leadership time and stakeholders. 
• Agenda planning and setting for leadership and full team meetings, in partnership with the Executive Directors.   
• Note taking and action monitoring of the above meetings, following up on completion of tasks when required.  
• Liaise with the wider Business Area teams and other stakeholders on behalf of the Executive Directors to enable projects and tasks to progress. 
• Management of the flow of information to other staff within the Foundation. 
• Ad hoc desk research as required, collating information and giving recommendations based on the information gathered 
• Proactively identify and deliver improvements to team processes and share these learnings with other business areas 
• Provide administrative support, such as creating and formatting documents / slides, updating the CRM system, making travel arrangements and other tasks as required.  
• Diary management cover for other business areas to cover absence within the team as necessary 
• Line management of a Diary Administrator including coaching and development, motivation and end of year and mid year reviews.

Working within our Kent Domestic Abuse services, Tenancy Support Workers will provide resettlement support to customers who are moving on from refuge and domestic abuse tenancy support to community clients who have accessed the Sanctuary Scheme in West Kent.

Look Ahead operates trauma and psychologically informed approaches, ensuring that our customers benefit from being supported through strengths-based practices. Tenancy Support Workers share responsibility by ensuring that a holistic and cohesive model of customer support is embedded across Kent.

What you'll do:

* Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers who are currently in refuge to make the transition to permanent accommodation smoother.
* Supporting community customers who have accessed the Sanctuary Scheme to remain in their properties and manage the risks associated with that.
* Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a move on Support Plan
* Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking.'
* Ensuring customers have full access to any move on welfare support by completing move on paperwork prior to customers move on date.
* Liaising and building partnerships with local charities to support customers with move on items
* Accompany customers to property viewings.
* Helping to set up utilities for move on customers
* Working proactively with the refuge and IDVA teams and referring any clients/customers to the IDVAs where required.
* Completing Marac referrals for high risk community client.
* Empowering customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits to which they are entitled
* Proactive development of links with local statutory and voluntary organizations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for customers in the communityMission & Values 'Working with people to make choices, achieve goals and take control of their live through high quality care, support and housing'
* Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service
* Develop links with private sector landlords, estate agents and other housing providers in order to source additional units and move on accommodation
