We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Team Leader to join our unique Support Team based in Fulham, to manage a small team providing support to Veterans, of all ages, to live independently in their own homes.
You should have a genuine interest in helping people to maintain their quality of life and independence, regardless of the potential barriers they face. You will facilitate their independence and encourage health and wellbeing. As part of the role you will:

What the job involves
This is an exciting new role within our Integrated Marketing and Media department, managing a talented Media and PR team, creating impactful moments that inspire action and drive change for men.
You’ll be responsible for developing our media and PR approach, ensuring prioritisation to deliver our Communications strategy and campaign objectives. You’ll contribute to future planning, crisis planning, and measuring impact by tracking and evaluating our PR results.
You’ll work with our paid media agency to maximise our media partnerships, ensuring all our work delivers for men. You’ll work alongside our creative content team to help men affected by prostate cancer share their stories and build strong relationships with our spokespeople and key stakeholders.

Some of the people we support have profound and multiple learning disabilities alongside other complex healthcare needs such as physical disabilities, Epilepsy, Dysphagia, non-verbal, require peg feeding and some may require involvement with manual handling and supporting people with all aspects of their personal care.
Whilst it is not essential that you have direct experience as a Manager, it is important that you have some management experience, and a good knowledge of the health and social care sector. You will be working within the supported living environment.
The role will challenge, excite and never be dull but will be truly rewarding.
You must be competent in using IT.
Your working week is flexible covering 7 days per week and will include working weekends and an on-call rota shared with your Senior Support Workers. Flexibility is key.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure everyone receives a service that:

3. Actively lead the Floating Support Team’s development through coaching, training, supervision, appraisals and team and management meetings.
4. Work alongside the Chief Finance and Operating Officer, CEO and Activities and the Trustees to develop and action strategic plans to maintain, develop, and promote EPM and our services.
5. Promote best practice across the service and the organisation through participation in external and organisational wide projects and forums.
6. Participate in the emergency on-call emergency rota (approx 10 nights per month) - £35 per night).
7. Take lead responsibility for the performance and delivery of the support contracts, overseeing the FS Senior Support workers.
8. Ensure performance standards are evidenced and quality is upheld in everything that the team’ do in complying with relevant CQC, contractual and organisational standards, outcomes and procedures.
9. To provide written and verbal reports on outcomes to Trustees at the regular Council of Management Meetings. To monitor and review service user and carer feedback, complaints and incident reports and use this information to inform and improve future services and practice.
10. Lead and manage the team to support personalised rota planning via Charitylog (inclusive of day, night and overnight activity) and service user timetables.
11. To lead the Housing Management service, working with the FS SSWs to ensure tenancies are managed appropriately, records maintained, and reports completed for Housing Associations in a timely fashion.
12. To be responsible for, or delegate recruitment of staff and provide excellent leadership, direction and effective management of the team’s resources and finances.
13. To plan, set and manage project budgets appropriately. To ensure project and individual finances are recorded, managed and monitored appropriately.
14. Ensure professional standards and best practice act as key drivers within a culture of continuous service improvement, value for money and safe practice.

The role will include coordinating and providing excellent person-centred care and support to service users, to enable people to live independently in their own home and be supported in all areas of day-to-day living. You will also oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to people with learning disabilities.
You will be involved in developing and implementing a range of creative and innovative new activity groups focusing on social interaction, learning and general wellbeing for service users with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and reducing reliance on 1:1 support.
The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick babies and children. Our work is now needed more than ever. To help achieve this, we are seeking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join the Finance Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to work with our Finance Manager to provide support to the financial management of the charity. You will be responsible for the accurate input and processing of financial ledger transactions onto the accounting system, ensuring that all deadlines are met and with a high level of attention to detail. You will work closely with other departments in the charity and will provide first class support. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, a positive attitude, great IT skills and strong customer service skills. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

This opportunity is offered as a 6 month fixed term contract, or secondment for internal applicants.
Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore, we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleep and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven person with relevant language skills to support the Roma Rough Sleeper Team as an Outreach Worker (known internally as Roma Mediator), working across central London boroughs. In this vital role you will:
- Undertake Street outreach shifts where you will be involved in making contact with people who are sleeping rough, assessing their needs and delivering personalised case management; to support individuals to make the move away from the streets.
- Support teams of Street Outreach Workers to deliver accessible services and ensure that contact is made and sustained with Roma people sleeping rough.
- Ensure the assessments made and the support offered are appropriate and relevant for the client group and that Roma people are supported to engage with the available services.
- Work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies and advocate, where appropriate, on behalf of Roma people with external agencies regarding their welfare rights and other support needs.

- For this role it is essential that candidates possess Roma or Romanian language skills.
- You will be able to demonstrate some experience of supporting people with multiple needs and managing challenging behaviour.
- You may have previous experience of supporting Roma people to access services and/or entitlements is beneficial for this role.
- You will have an understanding of housing and health, work and immigration services and legislation and how this affects people experiencing homelessness.
- You can show good communication skills, the ability to build positive working relationships with a variety of different people and effectively working well with others.
