Responsibilities of our Community Fundraising Volunteer Team Leader:

• To recruit, develop, retain and support a diverse team of volunteers to enhance community fundraising activities and income generating opportunities.

 Job Summary

Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.

The Museum is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual for the role of Philanthropy Manager. The role will contribute to our strategic priorities, working closely with the Senior Principal Gifts manager to cultivate and maintain relationships with new and existing funders. With opportunities to fundraise towards a diverse range of core and capital projects.

Working alongside an approachable and highly successful Philanthropy team, reporting into the Senior Principal Gifts manager, the role will support the development of our Principal giving strategy, building relationships with a portfolio of potential and existing funders engaging them through phone calls, meetings, written correspondence, events and by creating compelling proposals.

The role will provide substantial opportunity for professional development within a world-leading cultural organisation.

Main Responsibilities 

Fundraising

· Raise income in line with agreed personal targets and KPI’s, contributing to the Philanthropy team’s current annual income target of £7m+.

· Cultivate a portfolio of major donor prospects in the UK and abroad at the six-figure gift level and support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager in the management of seven-figure gifts.

· Establish strong cross-Museum relationships to develop programme ideas in line with funders’ interests, and craft compelling cases for support.

· Work independently and in collaboration with the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, Head of Philanthropy  and Director of Development to plan and implement creative strategies to increase philanthropic gifts at the seven-figure gift level.

· Actively solicit funding personally through bespoke cultivation plans and utilise senior stakeholders effectively when needed.

· Prepare written briefings for senior management for meetings with prospective donors as well as follow up documentation and correspondence.

· Ensure all required gift reporting is delivered to the highest standards, supporting the development of robust evaluation processes with colleagues where needed.

· Promote best practice in fundraising across the NHM.

Finance and Administration

· Work closely with Finance and project delivery colleagues to monitor incoming payments and ensure that donations are spent in line with funding agreements.

· Ensure full and timely records of all activity are kept on the database in adherence to set policies and procedures.

General

· Stay informed of key developments within the sector by monitoring government and third-sector policies and relevant publications.

· Attend evening and occasional weekend meetings and events, as required within the nature of the post.

· Assist with other duties that may be reasonably required.

In this impactful role you will develop and lead the delivery of Age UK's integrated public affairs and campaigning work, with the overarching aim of creating sustainable change for older people in line with our strategy and goals. Job Title: Finance Assistant

Part 1: Role Purpose:

This role is a great introduction to the world of charity finance as a key member of the busy HQ finance function. The role is primarily focused on HQ finances and will also work with colleagues across our global finance team. The role focuses on accounts payable and as the finance assistant develops in the role will offer the chance to work across a number of finance functions, including: treasury, accounts receivable, month end close, management accounting, supporting year end audit. This role provides a great opportunity to experience the full breadth of finance work in a charity across all functions in a varied and interesting role, learning quickly and making a real difference from day one.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

1) (60%) Accounts Payable

• Recording all approved supplier invoices, requisitions, staff expenses and other expenditure in the accounting system ensuring that they are all appropriately coded including the correct cost centre, GL code, projects and donor codes.
• Ensure that all supporting documentation for all transactions are uploaded into the finance system.
• Ensuring that all invoices for payment are appropriately approved by budget holder.
• Running short term cash flow forecasting and recommending bank account transfers including moving cash held in reserve into current access accounts. Looking for value for money in Foreign Currency transfers by choosing the best means of payment from available payment platforms.
• Ensure timely payment of all invoices by managing at least two payment runs a week and additional runs as required; setting up payments on online banking platforms and sending out requests for payment approvals to payment authorisers and verifying that all payments are fully approved by the deadline set.
• Once the payment is made, allocating the payment against the invoices in the Finance system and reviewing to ensure that all payments are allocated correctly.
• Reviewing staff expense claims to ensure that all supporting documentation is provided before payment.
• Supporting monthly staff credit card reconciliations to run the monthly statements.
• Monthly creditor account reconciliations to ensure correct allocation of payments to supplier accounts and validating any open account balances.
• Any other responsibilities relating to Accounts Payable.

2) (20%) Month end support and general support

• Complete bank reconciliations each month for all group bank accounts.
• Uploading monthly exchange rates to the Finance System
• Ensuring supporting information for transactions is correctly stored in electronic format on Teams such as bank statements, remittance advices, credit statements.
• Assist in preparation of internal reports.
• Assisting with compilation of information for Gift Aid returns.
• General support and assistance to the team including administrative duties and managing the office post.
• Other ad hoc support to the wider operations team as may be required.

3) (20%) Accounts Receivable

• Supporting with work on accounts receivable including accessing, downloading and saving in a systematic manner reports from donor portals, bank account and other sources.
• Analysing and coding income reports in Excel and uploading it to the Finance system on a timely basis, at least weekly.
• Maintaining details of cheques received and paying into the bank account.
• Issuing donor receipts.
• Raising donor invoices and requests for payments.
• Income and customer account reconciliations.

As a Senior Policy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the policy influencing work of Runnymede across a wide range of areas. Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the Role

Reporting to the Deputy CEO this is an exciting role supporting one of the UK’s leading social investors.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the work we do, is organised and has excellent attention to detail. 3. To ensure that information is managed effectively, calls logged and tasks delegated, progressed and completed, feedback collected and meetings scheduled and facilitated across the wider business development team, particularly in relation to the CEO, Deputy CEO and Director of Investments, ensuring their input is sought in a timely way to progress key decisions.

4. To manage a calendar of events, calls and contacts across key areas of business development.

5. To take a lead (where appropriate) and/or work alongside others to create and/or deliver presentations in new and existing business development.

6. To manage (where appropriate) and/or work alongside others maintain long-term relationships with both current and new clients and partners.

7. To monitor tendering opportunities and manage and update the new business development pipeline.

This is a part-time position offering flexible hours (21 hours per week) to attract the best candidate. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to our dedicated team. Your key responsibilities will include:

The Young Ealing Foundation’s vision is to ensure all young people in Ealing can access the opportunities and support they need to grow up and lead happy and safe lives, fulfil their potential and become a valued and listened to part of the local community. We work towards this by working with and in the community to empower small, local charities to thrive and flourish in order to enable sustainable, high quality service provision for children and young people and promote great youth work in all its forms.

As a small, place-based charity, we often find ourselves responding in dynamic ways to local need, whether of the children and young people in Ealing, or the grassroots charities who form our membership. Our Ealing Young Champions programme has been developed over the last four years, and we have secured multi-year funding to run projects designed to engage and empower local young people to advocate for practical solutions to address the issues that they and their peers face. We are also about to begin an exciting new project, taking over a local Library and developing it as a hub for services for children, young people and families in Greenford, alongside a core library offer for the local community.
