We are seeking a dynamic and organised Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting day-to-day office operations and contributing to a welcoming and inclusive environment for all employees and visitors. Reporting to the Executive Director, this is a really important role for the organisation, a small charity with around 20 employees. The primary function of the role is to keep the office running smoothly; you will also be supporting our trustees and governance of the charity, as well as assisting with recruitment and HR administration.
You will be someone who enjoys building productive relationships with people at all levels, both in person and online; the role includes managing our Executive Directors Diary, and organising Trustee meetings, so that will include liaison with our trustees, important funders and partners – a high level of verbal and written communication skills are essential.
The role is based at our offices in Brixton, and because of the nature of the role, it is office-based. We are happy to consider either full time or part time working (a minimum of three days or the equivalent hours.

Areas of Responsibility
Office
Keeping the office tidy and well managed – this includes:
·Support the office by ensuring stocks of tea, coffee and basic stationery are maintained.
·Handling one-off purchase requests for special items.
·Organising team meetings and occasional working lunches.
·Respond to queries and information from the team.
·Working with external IT support for IT problems e.g. sending broken laptops to IT support team.
·Maintaining a record of our laptops and other equipment.
·Being the lead administrator for our CRM system, Zoho, and HR database, Breathe.
·Managing the office email box where we receive general emails, circulating and responding to incoming mail as needed.
·Answering calls to our virtual landline, passing on messages as appropriate.
·Supporting the Executive Director with diary management.
·Assisting the wider team with travel booking.
Governance
·Supporting our trustees, committees and expert advisory group through liaison and scheduling meetings.
·Collating and sending papers out in advance of these meetings.
·Administrative support at meetings.
·Preparing minutes of meetings.
HR
·Support the Team with recruitment, posting jobs, and coordinating interview times and dates.
·Organise onboarding for new employees, including IT provision, DBS checks and induction.
·Supporting HFO with developing the use of our HR Database.
·Ensuring leave, training and basic HR information is accurately recorded.
·Supporting SMT to organise away days, office party, etc.
·Supporting staff wellbeing initiatives.
·Work with the HFO to develop our EDI and other policies.

Person Profile
·Experience of planning and organising your own workload and dealing with conflicting priorities.

This role is offered as a Grade 1 or Grade 2 level post, depending on the level of experience of the person appointed. Accordingly, the salary will be between £25,642 and £31,450.

About the role
The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), hosted at the UN Foundation, is a dynamic international partnership of over 700 organisations. GPSDD connects stakeholders to address data gaps and harness opportunities for sustainable development.
In 2018, GPSDD , Sightsavers and partners, launched the Inclusive Data Charter (IDC) to promote inclusive, disaggregated data for better understanding and addressing the needs of marginalised people. The IDC has grown significantly, with commitments from over 30 Champions.
Sightsavers, a co-founding champion of the IDC, prioritises inclusive data to support its health and inclusion strategies. The Programme Manager - Inclusive Data will work across GPSDD and Sightsavers, managing strategic programmes and partnerships to advance inclusive data initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee IDC strategic planning and delivery, ensuring team collaboration with the IDC Technical Advisor and Advocacy Lead.
- Manage relationships with IDC champions, facilitating their engagement through regular calls and meetings.
- Foster partnerships between IDC champions, GPSDD partners, and other organisations to share experiences and strengthen inclusive data systems.
- Lead the IDC impact and learning pillar, capturing and sharing progress through data stories and knowledge products.
- Oversee budget development, monitoring, and reporting for IDC and Sightsavers, making resource allocation decisions.
- Collaborate with the IDC Advocacy Lead to identify advocacy opportunities and plan major IDC events.
- Support the Technical Advisor in providing resources and tools for Champions to develop and implement inclusive data action plans.
- Facilitate engagement of IDC co-facilitating partners, including GPSDD, Sightsavers, the UK’s Office for National Statistics and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
- Lead Sightsavers’ inclusive data portfolio globally, engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Line manage the Inclusive Data Project Manager and Inclusive Data Operations & Planning Coordinator, overseeing workplans and progress.

About you
The Programme Manager will provide programme leadership for the Inclusive Data Charter initiative, ensuring the development and delivery of agreed plans. You will coordinate the engagement of co-facilitating partners and ensure effective participation by Champions in Charter management. Additionally, you will advance reporting and learning mechanisms to track progress against Champion Action Plans.
The Programme Manager will oversee Sightsavers’ inclusive data programme at a global level, offering strategic leadership across the portfolio. Strengthening relationships with internal stakeholders and external strategic partners will be key to advancing organisational objectives and enhancing Sightsavers’ leadership in inclusive data.

About the role
Sightsavers’ work in the field of education is driven by the principle of inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. We are looking for a Global Technical Lead – Inclusive Education to provide technical leadership and expertise in inclusive education to guide the development and delivery of specific initiatives and programmes.
As the Global Technical Lead for Inclusive Education, you will support Sightsavers to promote inclusive education for children, youth, and adults with disabilities in education systems in West Africa, East, Central and Southern Africa (ECSA), and South Asia. Working across multiple countries, you will ensure that disability inclusion is at the centre of conceptualisation, design and implementation of Sightsavers’ projects.
Strong communication skills in English and French are essential for this role, as is the availability to travel 12-16 weeks a year, nationally and internationally.

This role will play a key role in supporting our political influencing and public affairs activity, to establish Crisis’ relationship with the newly elected Parliament, and crucially provide the secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ending Homelessness.
Location: Based in our London office (we are open to a range of flexible working options, in line with Crisis’ Hybrid-Working Policy. About the role
As Public Affairs Officer you will provide the secretariat for the APPG for Ending Homelessness, a well-established cross-party group, with broad interest and engagement from across the sector and who have successfully influenced Government on a range of issues relating to homelessness. The Public Affairs Officer will work with the APPG co-chairs and officers to agree a strategic programme of work and to deliver events, meetings and inquiries in adherence with parliamentary procedures. You will work with the wider Policy and Campaigns team to establish the APPG position on key homelessness and housing announcements, as well as managing the APPG communications via the website, mailing list and social media. Previous APPG activities have included inquiries into the previous Government’s commitment to end rough sleeping, homelessness amongst Ukrainian refugees and homelessness upon leaving public services.
You will also shape and help deliver Crisis’ public affairs activity, including in support of our national campaigns to secure the policy changes to end homelessness, and to increase awareness of Crisis more broadly. This includes shaping regular engagement with MPs and politicians to inspire them to work with Crisis, position us as experts, as well as delivering Parliamentary events and supporting our programme of activity at political party conferences.
The role sits within the campaigns team in the Policy and Social Change directorate, but you’ll collaborate with a wide range of teams across the organisation to identify public affairs opportunities and ensure people with lived experience are at the heart of our political influencing activity, including with Crisis frontline services.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have strong knowledge of parliamentary and political procedures, including experience of working with APPGs or similar groups of politicians. You will have excellent communication and organisation skills, attention to detail, and good ability to understand policy solutions and how best to communicate them to a range of audiences to inspire people to work with Crisis and the APPG.
Understanding or knowledge of homelessness or housing policy is desirable. You may have experience in; public affairs, policy, communications and public relations.

The Role
