We have an exciting opportunity for a Centre Team Supervisor who will lead the Centre Team, ensuring the provision of excellent customer care and outstanding hospitality with a first-class end-to-end guest experience.  Motivated by their Christian faith, he or she will be able to clearly and sensitively communicate Rock UK’s Christian aims and ethos to staff and guests of all faiths and none. 

The successful applicant will need to have experience of leading and motivating a staff team, strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to think logically and creatively to meet outcomes. A valid driving licence is a requirement for the role and the post holder will also need to on the weekend duty rota around once every 6 weeks (with time off in lieu to compensate).

What does successful Donor Development look like at Travalyst?

Managing Travalyst’s corporate and individual donor base and driving revenue growth through targeted fundraising efforts.

What you’ll get to do:

This role combines soliciting new prospect donors, donor management, partnership development, and data-driven campaign execution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in relationship building, fundraising strategy, and donor engagement, with a demonstrable passion for Travalyst’s mission of promoting sustainable travel and tourism.

Donor Management (~40%)

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of individual donors, corporate and institutional foundations to secure philanthropic and private funding and advance Travalyst’s mission.
• Identify, solicit, and nurture new donor prospects, ensuring continuous growth of the donor base.
• Strategise with senior leadership to retain and upgrade current donors, including personalised engagement for high-value supporters.
• Support high-value donor and corporate partner meetings, preparing personalised correspondence, proposals and briefs.

Fundraising Strategy, Campaigns, and Event Management (~30%)

• Collaborate with the Partnerships and Development team to plan, execute, and manage proposal development and annual appeal processes for fundraising campaigns, including donor and partner events, direct mail, and corporate initiatives.
• Conduct prospect research for individual donors, foundations, and international government funding sources.
• Oversee the project management and execution of partnership and donor events, ensuring seamless planning, logistics coordination, and delivery to meet revenue and engagement goals.
• Track and report progress on fundraising campaigns and events, providing analysis on key performance indicators and revenue projections.
• Work with the communications team to create compelling materials for donor outreach, event promotion, presentations, and corporate engagement.
• Secure grant funding through research, proposal development, and managing the grant application process.

Donation Administration and CRM Management (~20%)

• Manage the CRM system, ensuring donor and partner data is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively utilised for engagement and reporting.
• Partner with the Operations team to ensure all donations, invoices and tracking is completed in a timely manner with follow up to donors as required. 
• Oversee donor reporting, generating data insights and analytics to inform future strategies and donor retention efforts.
• Manage reconciliation processes and ensure development data and financial data are in alignment.
• Collaborate with the team on CRM system training and improvements and support data migration if necessary.

General Administration and Team Support (~10%)

• Provide administrative support to the Partnerships and Development team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing materials for donor presentations.
• Assist with special projects and additional fundraising and partnership tasks as needed.

What skills we’re looking for:

· Experience in fundraising, donor management, or business development, with proven success in partnership building and substantial (ideally 6-7 figure) revenue generation.

· Ideally, Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Nonprofit Management, Business Development, Marketing, or related field.

· Superior communication and writing skills, with the ability to edit text written by others and generate new text; experience in crafting compelling pitches and proposals.

· High proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce) and data management (experience with donor databases preferred).

· Strong organisational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines and use project management software (Notion) to plan and track projects and work collaboratively across teams.

· Experience with grant management, writing and corporate engagement strategies.

· Experience with financial reporting and analysis in Excel/Google Suite.

· Strong understanding of sustainability issues, trends and the philanthropy sector, with a track record of aligning donor objectives with environmental and social responsibility.

· Experience working internationally and collaborating with people in diverse cultural and political contexts preferred.

· Ability to work independently and remotely in a dynamic and fast paced team environment.

· Strong alignment with Travalyst’s mission to promote sustainable travel and tourism.

 · Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and foundations, ensuring long-term engagement and revenue growth.

The Role

This requires extensive research and close collaboration with other organizations in the Open Wing Alliance (a global coalition of animal protection groups) to prepare for meetings with food companies and strategize on advocacy tactics from a scientific perspective.

You have a deep understanding of how the egg industry works and are determined to use this knowledge to improve conditions for laying hens. This is a part-time (32 hours per week), temporary, remote position. The temporary hire will provide coverage while a permanent staff member is on maternity leave, and overlap will be provided for training and onboarding. Employment is expected to be twelve (12)  months in duration, beginning on approximately February 3, 2025. The duration of employment may be extended or shortened at The Humane League’s discretion. This position requires both domestic and international travel, equivalent to 3 or more week-long trips per year.

The new team member’s title will be either Temporary Global Technical Lead or Temporary Global Technical Manager, depending on their experience and qualifications. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

A Temporary Global Technical Lead is responsible for carrying out the following essential job duties, with close supervision and guidance from the Senior Director of Global Animal Welfare:

• Conduct extensive research into the scientific literature and corporate data relating to animal agriculture systems and industries. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the egg industry and laying hen welfare.

• Leverage scientific knowledge to inform the work of THL and Open Wing Alliance member groups that are working with major food companies to advance protections for animals within their supply chains. This includes producing animal welfare education materials, preparing and delivering presentations on the science behind proposed welfare policies, and communicating effectively with corporate executives and stakeholders in the animal agriculture industry.

• Collaborate cohesively with intra- and inter-departmental team members and Open Wing Alliance member groups to coordinate on strategic initiatives.

• Track industry progress, working closely with THL’s other welfare specialists and Global Research & Insights Analyst when required.

• Attend conferences, events, retreats, protests, and corporate meetings as required. 

• In addition to the above essential job duties, other duties may be assigned as business needs arise. These may include non-essential, marginal job duties.

A Temporary Global Technical Manager is responsible for carrying out all of the essential duties above with a high level of independence. In addition to the above, the following responsibilities are included in the Temporary Global Technical Manager role:

• Serve as a thought leader for colleagues at THL and other animal protection groups in the Open Wing Alliance. Provide training to help others develop their knowledge of animal welfare.

REQUIRED SKILLS

The essential qualifications required of a Temporary Global Technical Lead or Temporary Global Technical Manager are:

• Animal Welfare Expertise: Veterinary degree or master’s degree in farm animal welfare science, or equivalent experience. On-farm experience required; this experience can be educational.

• Research and Data Analysis: Advanced research skills, with the ability to quickly find and comprehend technical information on unfamiliar topics. Performs advanced data analysis and extracts meaningful insights. Handles complex datasets, applies various statistical techniques, and translates findings into actionable recommendations. Communicates insights effectively to team members to support informed decision-making.

• Problem Solving: Addresses complex problems by analyzing situations, gathering relevant information, and proposing innovative solutions that demonstrate creativity and independent thinking. 

• Adaptability, Flexibility, and Proactivity: Navigates complex changes with resilience and identifies and addresses issues proactively. Able to prioritize multiple goals simultaneously and adjust to rapidly shifting priorities. 

• Verbal and Written Communication: Able to communicate technical information in a clear and compelling manner to audiences with varying levels of knowledge, tailoring communication to each audience’s needs. 

• Teamwork and Collaboration: Effectively supports team dynamics by promoting open communication and idea sharing. Encourages collaboration and works cohesively with colleagues to meet shared objectives.

In addition to all of the above, the following qualifications are required of a Global Technical Manager:

• 3+ years of relevant work experience engaging with the animal agriculture industry, producers, or policy makers on matters of farm animal welfare. Experience on poultry farms is required.

• Leadership: Mentors team members to develop their skills and knowledge while contributing to a collaborative and focused work environment. Effectively manages projects and delegates to project teams.

 The compensation range for the Temporary Global Technical Lead position is £29,963.20 - £36,621.60 GBP, and the compensation range for the Temporary Global Technical Manager position is £34,316.80 - £41,943.20 GBP. Lincolnshire Crisis Service have two houses in the county, one in Boston and another in Lincoln, we provide a range of support for people with mental ill health and both work to a recovery model. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards. This role does require you to work varied hours as the service is 24/7 and may include some sleep in shifts, these are paid in addition.
