About the role:

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Support Officer with proven administrative and IT skills to join our busy Volunteer Support Department at London Area Sea Cadets.

This role involves acting as the first point of contact via email and phone for our volunteers providing warm and friendly assistance. This role provides vital support to volunteers within our enrolment process as well as administrative tasks that aid and celebrate our volunteers. Our successful candidate will be organised, a strong team player and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Support the adult volunteer applications to join the Sea Cadets, ensuring that personnel records are updated accordingly on our database
• Review and approve applications for the Cadet Forces Medal
• Respond to all volunteer enquiries received by MSSC by email, post and phone
• Administer personnel forms associated with volunteer progression

Requirements:

• Computer literacy: strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet and experience of web-based information systems

• Experience of working in a customer focussed role, including handling a wide range of enquiries by phone and email, and handling challenging phone calls and emails
• Experience of using data protection procedures

Desirable:

• Experience of database inputting and records maintenance and management
• Experience of setting up and using Mail Merge to issue emails or letters

Job Purpose: To provide Information & Advice to older people. The role

As Head of Fundraising and Engagement you will be part of the senior leadership team and you will play a key role in both developing and delivering an effective fundraising growth strategy. You will be responsible for leading the team and growing and diversifying income across various income streams.

You will work with the Head of Finance to set budgets and forecasts and you will ensure that each member of the team is enabled to achieve their targets. You will also work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure that you are growing the charity's profile, and work alongside service colleagues to best engage beneficiaries and stakeholders in the charity. You will ensure that an exceptional stewardship journey is implemented and imbedded within the organisation.

About You
You will have had extensive experience within the third sector preferably across multiple income streams, some experience of Marketing and Communications would be desirable too. You will be able to demonstrate that you have grown income significantly as well as be able to show that you have had experience in developing and implementing a fundraising strategy. You will have experience of managing a team including staff and volunteers.

You will be able to show that you have had experience in forecasting and working towards financial targets as well as proven experience in managing a team. Experience in working with a CRM System is also desirable as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This is a Hybrid role with some time spent in the office in Bracknell and at the Charities Specialist Centre in Basingstoke. You will be a car driver and have access to a car. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Psychologist with forensic psychology experience to join our clinical team, supporting a specialist service based in Croydon. The service operates within a 27-bed residential facility that cares for individuals with forensic mental health needs, complex conditions, and dual diagnoses. As a key member of the clinical team, you will provide evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions, focusing on the rehabilitation and reintegration of residents with complex mental health and forensic backgrounds.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with mental health professionals, including those with forensic expertise, allowing you to make a significant impact on service development. You will also play a vital role in driving clinical improvements and contributing to the strategic direction of our forensic mental health services.

Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth clinical assessments, designing tailored intervention plans, and offering specialist psychological supervision and guidance to staff to ensure high-quality, therapeutic support. You will be instrumental in shaping the clinical care of individuals with complex presentations, including those with forensic histories, mental health challenges, and behavioural disorders. 

Penrose Croydon: Our Croydon facility offers a psychologically informed environment across four distinct sites, providing medium and low-support forensic mental health services to men and women. These services are designed to support residents' rehabilitation and aid their successful reintegration into the community. The job holder will work across different sites in the South London area, offering flexibility and the opportunity to engage with a variety of services and residents in need of support.

Shift Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, with flexible scheduling based on service needs. There may be opportunities for remote work, depending on service requirements.

• This role will be leading the month end balance sheet reconciliation for cash, credit cards and intercompany accounts. They will be managing external relationships with payment card providers (WorldPay, AMEX, Adyan, Sumup, Nayax, Shopify) Trusts and Individual Donors.
• Responsible for allocating receipts & payments against invoices on the AR and AP ledger and correct coding of grant/sundry income and expenditure.
• Responsible for uploading and coding of all bank transactions (multi-currency) on a daily basis for the charity and its commercial entity, including the correct VAT treatment of income and expenditure, recording of foreign exchange differences on 8 live bank accounts.
• Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations of all bank accounts
• Responsible for control account reconciliations and allocation of transactions on control accounts for cash, streamline, all credit card providers, debtors' suspense & CAF and Intercompany accounts.
• Leading the advice to Education, Fundraising, Marketing and IOZ around monies received and returned via bank transfers from Donors or via the DD's route
• Monitoring cheque and CAF payments for un-cleared items and follow up .
• Investigate and seeing through to a successful resolution, any reconciling differences as and when they occur, ensuring any issues are settled in a timely and efficient manner and brought to FAM's attention.
• Accountable for the preparation and posting of Cash and Cashbook journals from the bank accounts on a timely basis and hitting month end deadlines.
• Responsible for investigating unallocated receipts in suspense account and allocating these to the relevant income streams

What you'll do:

Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Support individuals to manage their prescribed medication
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community
Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
Carry out H&S and Fire Safety checks in individual rooms as well as communal areas of the building

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but professional and friendly development team to continue the delivery of our high-quality new build homes programme.

We design our homes to high standards, incorporating local architectural features. Working under the leadership of the Development Director and collaboratively with internal colleagues and external consultants and contractors, the role will be to fully coordinate from inception to completion the day-to-day project management of rural exception site housing delivery (noting, we do deliver some through selective Section 106 planning gain schemes). Our typical sites are around six to ten affordable homes, although we can also develop a small number of outright sale homes through our subsidiary ER Homes Ltd to cross subsidise the affordable homes.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in working and successfully delivering affordable housing development and preferably rural housing. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively and independently. It takes a special project manager with professionalism, enthusiasm, tenacity and a great deal of pride to stay the course and deliver these small, often challenging yet ultimately rewarding community housing schemes. The right candidate will also have sufficient technical expertise, from a formal qualification or direct experience. Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours a week) will be considered. When applying, please state what hours you are looking to work.
