As we continue to grow and expand our operation, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Financial & Operating Officer (CFOO) to join our senior leadership team.
The Role
We are looking for a seasoned and professionally qualified financial & operational leader to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our financial strategy, ensuring strong governance and compliance, and supporting our mission to create lasting change for vulnerable households.
The CFOO will report to the CEO and work closely with them and the Board of Trustees, overseeing financial & internal operations, advising on strategic financial matters, and safeguarding our resources for maximum impact In addition to the financial aspect of the role, the CFOO will support the CEO with the day to day operational running of the trust, overseeing HR, Admin, Compliance and IT functions. This role also includes leadership responsibilities for a small internal dedicated team and oversight of external contractors and consultants.
The role is home based with some travel to meetings, including overnight stays within the UK as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Trust's financial strategy, aligned with our mission and long-term goals.
- Oversee governance, risk, and compliance processes, ensuring that all regulatory and ethical standards are upheld.
- Present clear, insightful financial reports and analysis to the Board of Trustees, supporting informed decision-making.
- Develop and oversee the internal systems and processes within the Trust, fostering a culture of accuracy, integrity, and accountability.
- Work closely with the CEO and senior management team, providing guidance on financial sustainability and risk management.
- Proactively identify and manage financial risks, ensuring resources are deployed effectively and responsibly.
About You
- A qualified Chartered Accountant
- An Experienced Financial Strategist with a proven track record in strategic finance within a charitable organisation, foundation, trust or relevant setting.
- Experience of overseeing both Financial and non-financial internal functions, processes and systems.
- Risk-Aware and Analytical: Skilled at assessing and mitigating risks, with a highly analytical approach to financial & wider risk management.
- Skilled Communicator: Exceptional ability to communicate financial & wider insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including presenting to the Board of Trustees.
- Governance and Compliance Expert: Strong knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management in the charitable sector.
- A Strong and Supportive Leader: Leadership experience with a small team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Diplomacy & Commercial Acumen

About the role:
The HR Manager will oversee the operational management of the HR department, ensuring the provision of an enabling and supportive service which is customer focused, effective and professional, and will deputise for the Director of HR & Volunteering as appropriate. This is a broad and varied role in a small HR team which covers all aspects of employment and management of staff.
The HR Manager will ensure best practice is followed in recruitment and selection, onboarding and induction, performance management, employee relations, absence management and record keeping.

- An empathetic and outgoing communication style – you have strong interpersonal skills, develop effective working relationships with a wide range of people, and give sound and appropriate support and advice

About the role
From local and national support services to green spaces, sports clubs, museums and the arts, voluntary organisations and volunteers are a vital part of communities across the country. The Senior Practical Support Officer role is key to the delivery of NCVO’s support for small charities. You will be a key part of a small team, with a focus on managing and responding to enquiries that come in via phone and email to our Small Charity Helpdesk. We receive 400 – 500 enquiries a month about setting up and running a charity, with a particular focus on volunteering and governance.
Alongside the helpdesk you will also work with colleagues across NCVO on the production, and curation of content for our website and with internal and external stakeholders to produce sector leading practical webinars.
You will have a particular focus on volunteering, working with multiple stakeholders on a range of cross-organisational initiatives to ensure we develop and share best practice on involving volunteers.
Your good working knowledge of the voluntary sector, understanding of the specific needs of small charities and sharp focus on delivering excellent customer service will help us to effectively respond to the needs of the sector.
This is fast paced role and with good time management and attention to detail this role has a lasting/meaningful impact on the hundreds of charities we support.

Your role
We’re looking for an experienced social media professional who has the expertise to lead the delivery of the RNLI’s social media strategy and approaches across both paid and organic, advising and supporting a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation in order to help save lives at sea.
As Senior Social Media Manager, key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the delivery of paid and organic content, as well as community management, across our channels

Our Head of Children, Young People and Families leads the work of our Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) service and the Building Young Brixton (BYB) Partnership, and is a key part of the Senior Leadership team at High Trees, helping us achieve our ambitions across the board.
Our Children, Youth and Families work serves the Tulse Hill and wider Lambeth community, operating from our dedicated youth and play site at Tulse Hill Adventure Playground, where the CYPF team are based. We deliver a multi-faceted and integrated service allowing us to provide seamless support for children and young people from 8-18, including daily after school and weekend open access adventure play sessions, community and school based mentoring programmes, a work experience and youth leadership programme, and youth social action projects. We are accountable and responsible for gathering, analysing, contributing, and mobilising evidence and insight to strengthen the case for dementia across the UK - bringing this to bear to our people in Alzheimer’s Society and the dementia system locally and nationally.
We are evidence and data-driven, factual, and solution-focused. Our strategic evidence base will ensure that Society’s decisions and interpretation of dementia and the system are based on the highest quality of dementia evidence and will:
- Demonstrate the scale of dementia in the UK.
- Demonstrate the impact of dementia on the system and those affected by the disease.
- Underpin the response of Alzheimer’s Society and the wider system to the big challenges dementia poses.
As our Strategic Evidence Assistant, you will support the Strategic Evidence team in gathering, analysing, contributing, and mobilising evidence, data, and insight to help build and curate a strategic evidence base that is built on the most recent and best available dementia evidence. You will also be part of an even larger Evidence, Policy and Influencing function, which is laser-focused on ending the devastation of dementia through changing policy. - Contribute to the delivery and monitoring of evidence projects that help to build our strategic evidence base, including reviewing and gathering different types of evidence to help us understand the scale and impact of dementia across the UK.
- Be pivotal in making strategic evidence for everyone’s business – to our people and the external dementia system. You will be solution-focused, supporting and monitoring processes and activities to mobilise and deploy our strategic evidence.
- Use your understanding of our strategic evidence base to support the preparation of briefings, reports, and other creative assets.

About you
