The Role
Deliver local, national and international PR (both online and offline), supporting awareness-raising, global programmes, emergency, fundraising and advocacy activities and campaigns.
Implement media plans in line with the global fundraising, marketing and communications strategy and in support of communications KPIs.
Work with Communications Manager on publications, including copy for marketing materials, the website and internal communications.
The Candidate

Cleanup Champions work closely with Cleanup Hubs and other partner organisations to encourage more people to get involved in litter picking locally.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To increase the number of people borrowing litter picking equipment from the Cleanup Hubs in your local area.

To represent CleanupUK at a local level by attending litter picking events and supporting the development of the Cleanup Hub network.

Supporting existing Cleanup Hubs to increase levels of engagement in their area by contacting new groups.

Role description
The Communities Lead is a critical role in developing and delivering the Centre for Excellence in Community Investment, facilitating its national and local thematic networks, engaging with colleagues across and beyond the social housing sector and identifying potential opportunities for collaboration. Role description
The Head of Social Value (HoSV) is HACT’s specialist subject matter expert on social value and impact measurement. The post holder will be able to clearly explain what social value means and have knowledge of a range of impact measurement methodologies and how they can be applied in different contexts.
The HoSV will ensure that HACT maintains its position at the forefront of social value and impact measurement thinking, constantly identifying areas for innovation and development. The post holder will also build and strengthen relationships with customers by providing quality social value consultancy, training and research.
The HoSV will have regular contact with HACTs strategic partner, SImetrica-Jacobs, ensuring there is 2-way dialogue based on market intelligence, understanding competitors and any other feedback which will positively support HACTs position in the social value space.

Primary Responsibilities:

Hours:
This is a part time position of 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE), worked between Monday and Friday over a minimum of three days, with the working pattern to be agreed.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four-day week pilot, this position will remain at 22.5 hours per week, worked between Monday and Thursday over a minimum of three days, with the working pattern to be agreed. With the organisation's full-time hours changed to 30 from 37.5 during the four-day week pilot, this role will be 0.75 FTE during the trial, with the salary increased accordingly to £26,903.
This will constitute a temporary change to the successful candidate's contractual terms. If a return to a five-day week is decided, the FTE and salary will revert to 0.6 and the equivalent pro rata amount of £21,523. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.

PLACE OF WORK
