Role Overview

This role is responsible for achieving fundraising targets, managing the community fundraising team and freelance grant writer(s), and leading all marketing initiatives, including social media management.

 Reporting to the CEO, this role is ideal for someone with a strong background in fundraising, marketing, and team management who is passionate about making a difference.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising

• Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to meet financial targets.
• Identify and develop new funding opportunities, including corporate sponsorships, business network, regular giving, legacies and fundraising campaigns.
• Support and manage the community fundraising team to maximise income from individual giving, sponsored events, and community-led initiatives.
• Oversee and work closely with the freelance grant writer(s) to ensure timely and high-quality funding applications.

 Additional Information

• This is a remote role, but you will need to sometimes travel to attend events and meetings.

The Climate Coalition is seeking a Digital Campaigns Manager to strengthen and expand the impact of the climate and nature movement. This role will play a key part in developing and embedding a strategic approach to coalition campaigning that shifts narratives, diversifies how we reach and engage people, and supports coalition-wide campaigning efforts.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and implement a strategic digital campaigns approach that strengthens the coalition’s impact, ensuring messaging, actions and storytelling are delivered with and through members.

• Work closely with the Head of Movement Building to facilitate the co-creation of campaigns with coalition members, ensuring they are packed with engaging content and compelling actions.

• Ensure our campaigns and messaging strengthen coalition-wide engagement, deepen relationships, and build collective power.

• Lead the transition of TCC’s website into a strategic hub for change, ensuring it becomes a central tool for coalition members and the wider public.

• Diversify our reach—exploring and embedding innovative new digital approaches to engage both those already active in climate and nature action and those yet to act.

We’re looking for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead our vital work, bringing their expertise in data and technology and their passion for nature to drive the NBN Trust forwards.

Position: CEO

Salary: £65,575 – £68,854 depending on experience.

The NBN Trust is a nature charity with a difference. Our mission is making data work for nature. We’re looking for someone with a data or digital background, with a track record of overseeing the delivery a high-quality user experience through digital products and commercialising data or digital services. Passion for nature conservation is essential, as well as a desire to engage with the many natural history specialists who contribute data to the NBN Atlas. We’re looking for an ambitious individual with an agile, entrepreneurial mind-set, who can drive income generation and growth.

The ideal candidate understands what an excellent data platform looks like and how to continually evolve this to keep up with trends and developments. Attention to detail and ability to horizon-scan is key in overseeing the Trust’s projects and key work streams and ensuring good governance. The NBN Trust is a small team, with a big responsibility, undergoing a period of change, and your role will be to steer the staff through this change and deliver the NBN Trust’s strategy.

We’re a 100% remote-working charity, so you’ll need to be comfortable and effective working from home. The whole team meets up four times a year for in-person team meetings (in London and other locations around the UK).  The post holder may be required to work occasional weekends and evenings.

Job Description

Title: Operations Support Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Operations Administrator

Based: Remotely - however must be willing and able to travel as and when required to meetings and events.

Job Purpose: To maintain a high level of operational support to all areas of the Charity Group

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide operational administrative support within the Charity Group (UK & USA); tasks to include but not limited to updating database with varying records, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, running reports, managing administration projects

· Taking payments over the phone as and when needed

· Administer data received from online forms, calls and emails (follow up as necessary and update Database)

· Grants: undertaking research to identify funding opportunities for the Charity Group, completing associated forms and working with the Senior Operations Administrator to submit applications.

· Adding holidays, absences and meetings to the company diary as required.

· Collate websites update requests and liaise with Communications Team to instigate the changes.

· Assist the Patient Services Team with patient enquiries, answering calls as and when required and taking messages when necessary. Screening and responding as appropriate to incoming emails or calls.

· Administer the charity resource review process for all the resources the Charities publish -set annual or periodic review dates for current titles and engage with HCP’s and other medical professionals on reviews and approvals of new titles and subjects. Work closely with the Patient Services Manager who would manage this project.

· Provide cover for administration and other tasks when staff are on holiday or absent

· Planning, coordinating, attending events/programmes such as World Heart Rhythm Week, Global AF Aware Week, Heart Rhythm Congress, Heart Rhythm Updates, and any other event/programmes or initiatives

About the FCLP

upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) is a graduate programme combining delivery work (supporting our Associates) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management. 

As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP you will be delivering personalised employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping transform their lives by equipping  them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. During a typical week, you should expect to be working across a range of projects including 1:1 undergraduate coaching, group workshops, webinars (we refer to them as Video Forums), partnership management (with university partners or employer partners) and more!

In addition to this, the programme offers the opportunity to develop skills in key areas of charity management by participating in 3 rounds of six-month 'rotations'. After your initial 18 months and the completion of 3 six-month rotations, you will have the opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship in Leadership and Management to further develop your skills.

What will I be doing?

The FCLP is a fast-paced but rewarding role. Programme Coordinators spend 80% of their time (4 days per week) working directly with associates to enhance their career knowledge and skills and 20% (1 day per week) on a charity management rotation (or an apprenticeship after 18-months). No two days are the same, but your responsibilities may include:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Associates, helping them to achieve their career goals 

• Developing and delivering professional development-focused support

• Individual and small group work with Associates 

• Assisting Associates with their applications to undergraduate positions and graduate jobs 

• Developing sector and/or employability skill knowledge while building resources to aid all Associates 

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with university and/or employer partners 

• Delivering informative workshops to enhance sector knowledge and employability skills

• Planning, delivering and reporting on events and workshops with partners

When applying for this role we ask that applicants are able to commit to the full 18-month training programme and we encourage participation in the apprenticeship scheme beyond this. As you will be working directly with our beneficiaries throughout their degree, this consistency will allow you to build bonds with your Associates and ensure continuity, thus allowing us to have the most impact for the young people we work with.

What Skills and Experience do I need?

This programme would be suited to individuals who are committed to upReach’s mission, motivated to work with undergraduates and interested in learning about, and gaining experience in, charity management. We are looking for people who are passionate about social mobility and believe that background should not be a barrier to graduate employment. 

Essential Skills/Experiences:

• Working in a fast-paced environment and working independently to find solutions to problems

• Strong organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a varied workload

• A University degree in any discipline, or equivalent experience

• Self-motivation and an ability to work in a small team as well as solo

• Excellent communication skills and strong written English

• The ability to engage and communicate confidently with undergraduates, corporate volunteers (mentors) and employers via phone, email, and in person

• Experience of public speaking or facilitating workshops 

Desirable Skills/Experiences:

• Knowledge of the graduate labour market in the UK and experience supporting individuals through an application process 

• Strong negotiation skills and experience in roles requiring influence

• Working in one or more of the career sectors that upReach support Associates in applying to.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a proactive and creative Media Officer to enhance the visibility, reach, and impact of New Capital Consensus and Radix Big Tent. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing media relations, crafting compelling content, and executing strategic communication campaigns to engage diverse audiences, including policymakers, business leaders, and the wider public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement media and communications strategies to promote the work of New Capital Consensus and, through it, Radix Big Tent.
• Write and distribute news releases, opinion pieces, blog posts, and social media content.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, broadcasters, and media outlets.
• Monitor media coverage and provide analysis on engagement and impact.
• Manage and grow digital platforms, ensuring a strong and consistent brand presence.

Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is looking to engage the services of a results-oriented consultant with great people skills to set up CAP projects in high harm areas.

The successful applicant will have a track record of building effective partnerships, the people and communication skills to involve and engage a wide range of local stakeholders and the leadership and project management skills to support projects through each phase of their lifecycle including baseline evaluation, action plan delivery, post intervention evaluation and maintenance/sustainment. After a short familiarisation period the successful applicant will be expected to oversee fast-track development of new CAPs in priority areas and take responsibility for all aspects of their management with minimal supervision.

A key requisite of the role will be the ability to forge effective public/private sector partnerships between statutory agencies, schools, youth charities and retailers following the CAP model and evaluation framework. The successful applicant may come from a police, public health, education, local authority or other relevant background.

Key Responsibilities

 

· Proactively identify opportunities for new CAPs and facilitate set up of new CAPs in priority areas

· Ensure that all new CAP projects carry out appropriate and timely interventions and evaluate all activity in line with the CAP evaluation toolkit – including a baseline and post intervention evaluation

· Raise the profile of CAPs in Scotland and ensure that their impact is recognised by key stakeholders

Specific duties to include the following:

o Represent CAP at all operational meetings

o Ensure that Retail of Alcohol Standards Group (RASG) member companies play a full delivery role in each CAP where they operate as businesses.

o Liaise as appropriate with strategic leads within local enforcement authorities and other partner organisations to initiate and complete agreed actions

o Encourage all projects to achieve positive local media coverage including via social media and regional news/broadcast media

o Ensure that all projects carry out as a minimum a baseline (pre-CAP) evaluation and post intervention evaluation following the CAP evaluation framework and project management survey tools

o Produce a monthly progress report on all schemes and pipeline activity

o Attend and participate in regular CAP update meetings on Microsoft teams (x12 pa) 

o Assist with event planning and profile-raising opportunities such as MSP visits to CAP projects

Skills, attributes and experience

 

• Essential to the role will be the ability to persuade key stakeholders at local and national level of the need to address underage drinking problems and to facilitate effective and dynamic local partnerships involving any/all of the following sectors: local authorities, education, child protection, social services, public health, Alcohol and Drug Partnerships, police, retailers and licensing
• Excellent organisational and sound project management skills 
• Great people skills with the ability to build consensus and motivate partners to play a role in timely delivery of an agreed action plan
• Act as an ambassador for CAP at meetings and events including parliamentary events
• Excellent presentation and all-round communication skills
• Capable administrator with the ability to keep accurate records including data collection around outputs and impact evaluation

Remuneration: Consultancy fee of £320 per day depending on experience. Work will depend on ability to generate interest in setting up new CAPs but we anticipate as a guideline engaging a minimum of 2.5 days of consultancy per week or around 100 days per annum. All reasonable and agreed travel expenses will be paid in line with invoice arrangements.
