The new Senior Fundraiser will join at an exciting time in the company's 20th year and will be able to make their mark engaging supporters and securing funds for our core operation and artistic programme. Essential

• Proven experience of creating and delivering effective fundraising campaigns and achieving fundraising targets.
• Proven experience of securing significant/multi-year grants from Trusts & Foundations.
• Proven experience of stewarding and securing gifts from Individuals and Sponsors.
• Experience of Arts Council England grant funding and reporting.
• Experience of running digital fundraising campaigns.
• Experience of managing a donor database.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to draft a compelling case for support.
• Proven experience of managing evaluation and reporting processes for funders.
• Excellent relationship building skills, including the ability to work with a wide range of people from varied backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities

• Write and compile appropriate solicitation plans, supporting materials, and draft bids, prior to presenting requests for funding (including applications, proposals and one-to-one requests)

Grants Manager-Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal

Compulsory 2-week office attendance during an appeal

Salary: £40, 560 per annum.

Contract status: Full time to December 2025, with the potential to extend

The Ukraine Humanitarian appeal raised £439 million and helped an estimated 6.9 million people in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. The Grants Manager is integral in working closely with DEC colleagues and members to build and sustain, a solid understanding of the evolving humanitarian context. The Grants Manager will maintain strong oversight of the DEC funded programme including the reporting cycle, adaptive programming and facilitate strong and relevant engagement with DEC member charities and local partners and external briefings over the duration of the response.

Key responsibilities:

Communication and Collaboration

• Key programmes point of contact regarding the DEC funded programme, responding to enquiries from member charity programmes and other related staff, facilitating timely and accurate communication.
• Maintain strong understanding of response context.
• Manage and provide timely, response briefings to internal and external audiences, key stakeholders including the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office [FCDO] and, other key stakeholders.

 

Analysis and Reporting

• Review, evaluate, and advise on member charity plans and reports for consistency, trends analysis and coherence of data across submitted documentation.
• Contribute to the review and analysis of plans and reports submitted by member charities in response to DEC appeals.
• Share timely and relevant information and analysis from plans and reports with DEC member charities and local partners. 
• Manage external reporting requirements including preparation of stakeholder reports and infographics.

Management and Leadership

• Coordinate the team’s surge capacity to deliver points above, which may involve managing and inducting a team of external consultants and training them in the use of our knowledge management system [Box].
• Coordinate with the Programme Quality, Accountability & Learning team to ensure monitoring, learning and accountability initiatives are timely and appropriate to the response.
• Support with real-time reviews, community perception studies and other related MEAL activities.

If you have recently worked in any of DEC’s 15 member charities, and have demonstratable humanitarian experience of Ukraine, with the competence to prepare timely/accurate reports and deliver credible presentations to diverse audiences, then you will be perfect to join an incredible team and organisation.

We cannot predict the need for a future appeal, but should one occur during the contract for this role, the successful applicant may be asked to stay on for an extended period.

What will I be doing?

• Oversee the campaign set-up and management process across multiple channels in response to briefs, ensuring campaign assets are audited prior to launch.

• Lead on the delivery of data and digital campaign set-up requirements in collaboration with Data Selections, Digital Marketing and Social teams.

• Work with UX experts to devise and deliver pre-launch test and learn initiatives, sharing findings with stakeholders and recommending optimisations based on results.

• With Marketing Executive support, lead on all aspects of campaign delivery to time and budget whilst meeting agreed KPIs.

• Work with Email & SMS, Social and Marketing Apprentice teams to deliver email, SMS, social and other specialist marketing activity.

• Lead on in-campaign reporting and post-campaign analysis, sharing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of future campaigns with key stakeholders.

What are you looking for?

• Relevant experience of delivering multi-channel campaigns, from planning through to execution and analysis.

• Good understanding of end-to-end supporter or customer journeys and the role of different channels in fully integrated campaigns. 

• Data-driven with a good understanding of UX principles and experience of interpreting results and recommending opportunities for optimisation.

We are evidence and data-driven, factual, and solution-focused.  Our strategic evidence base will ensure that Society’s decisions and interpretation of dementia and the system are based on the highest quality of dementia evidence and will:

- Demonstrate the scale of dementia in the UK.

As our Strategic Evidence Assistant, you will support the Strategic Evidence team in gathering, analysing, contributing, and mobilising evidence, data, and insight to help build and curate a strategic evidence base that is built on the most recent and best available dementia evidence. Equal Education is a social enterprise working to improve outcomes and narrow the attainment gap for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, including Children Looked After, those with SEND, and unaccompanied asylum seeking children. We have 12 years’ experience delivering 1:1 tuition, working with hundreds of schools and Local Authority partners across the country, reaching hundreds of pupils annually. 

As a member of the Fair Education Alliance, we believe in providing meaningful educational provision to students whose needs may not be best met within a traditional classroom environment, those who aren’t currently accessing education, or who benefit from additional 1:1 support. We work with qualified teachers to provide academic, subject specialised and individual tutoring and mentoring for children of all ages. Tutors provide pastoral care and work with pupils to increase engagement and attainment. Our programmes allow students to overcome barriers to learning, help them build trusted relationships, increase their aspirations, and fulfil their potential. The Role

As our Partnerships Director, you will be at the forefront of driving organisational growth, leading our sales and procurement strategy, and positioning Equal Education as a thought leader in the education sector.

We are seeking an innovative and strategic Partnerships Director to lead our sales, procurement, and thought leadership strategy as we scale our impactful programmes for Children Looked After, students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). Skills and Experience Required:

• Expertise in Public Sector Procurement: Proven experience in writing and winning tenders, with a deep understanding of procurement frameworks in the education sector.

• Sales Leadership: Extensive experience in B2B and B2G sales, with a track record of achieving growth targets.

• Contract Negotiation: Skilled in managing complex negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

• Data-Driven: Skilled in working with databases like Salesforce or other CRM and spreadsheets to track high volumes of client information and student outcomes. 

• Local Authority Knowledge: A background in working with or for local authorities is highly desirable.

• Thought Leadership: Demonstrated ability to represent an organisation at events and publish industry-leading insights.

• Strategic Vision: Capable of aligning sales and procurement activities with organisational objectives.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Team work: Be a strong internal influencer, supporting and mentoring the development of your team, as well as working closely with delivery colleagues to ensure we not only match, but exceed client expectations.

• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of systems and procedures including the organisation's feedback function.

• Proven experience of delivering effective customer service/supporter care with the ability to deal with enquiries in a diplomatic and sensitive manner

The Team

This national programme is designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is led by the organisation in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of employment support for individuals with mental health conditions or substance use disorders. As a well-established program funded by NHS England & Improvement, the Department for Work and Pensions, and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, IPS Grow is at the forefront of implementing high-quality, evidence-based practices. The mission is to significantly improve employment outcomes for clients accessing health services through the nationwide scale-up of IPS. 

The Research Lead will join a dynamic team of IPS experts, working collaboratively to enhance service fidelity and drive measurable improvements in client outcomes. Based flexibly across England with a hybrid working model, this role requires regular presence at the London office and a willingness to travel nationally.

Job Aim:To lead a fun, engaging and exciting programme of activities for young people across the economically disadvantaged but beautifully diverse E6 area within the London Borough of Newham. You will lead the delivery of BDCA’s Youth project, in line with our commissioning contract with Newham Council’s Youth Empowerment Service. Our project provides the following youth activities in East Ham over 49 weeks of the year for young people aged 9-19:

• Three outdoor Multi Use Games Area sports sessions per week in BDCA’s sports field.
• Three indoor youth hub sessions per week in BDCA’s sports pavilion, which includes workshops such as Junior Gym, screen acting, Muay Thai, healthy cookery sessions, calming crafts and sports.
• Weekly EKO Pathways after school youth club session specifically supporting children who have been excluded from mainstream education due to social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
• Two outdoor parks MUGA session.
• Weekly Youth Theatre Club, led by a local acting workshop facilitator.
• Three-week summer holiday scheme for up to 120 children per day.
•  Annual ‘Stepping Up’ youth leadership programme offering training/ mentoring/ paid work experience / accredited Sports Leaders Awards for up to 30 young people each summer.

About you

To succeed, you’ll need to be experienced in data quality and implementing operational procedures to maintain high standards of data quality and have worked as a help desk technician or a similar customer support role. You’ll also need to be skilled in engaging a diverse database user community, helping them to use and get the most out of the system and working with them to identify system improvements. You should be analytical, solution orientated and able to communicate technical information to a non-technical client team audience, you have a good understanding of relevant legislation and regulations relating to supporter data too (e.g., GDPR, PECR and the Fundraising Code of Practice).
