We are looking for an experienced finance professional, preferably with charity sector experience, who has strong leadership skills to lead the Finance function and play a key role in ensuring the Fund delivers excellent financial management. You will be responsible for the leadership of the Finance team and delivering financial expertise essential to the organisation’s ability to steward finances properly, make sound decisions, comply with regulations & standards and manage risk.

To be suitable for this role, you will be a qualified accountant with strong leadership, technical and people skills. You will have the experience to support a finance function that is motivated, adds value to the work of the Fund, and is strategically influential and important. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the growing and ambitious Individual Giving team at Alzheimer’s Society.  This role within the Committed Giving team is pivotal to helping us reach our exciting goal of doubling our income by 2030.

You will lead our multi-million-pound regular giving acquisition campaigns across multiple channels, including face-to-face, an important and growing channel for us.  This year, we have significantly increased our investment across regular giving and Lottery acquisition, so working closely with the other Individual Giving manager, you will develop and implement plans to diversify our channel mix, testing new propositions and working closely with our creative and media partners.
You will develop the budget for your campaigns, setting ambitious targets and strategies for future growth, and be encouraged to regularly review and push your campaigns to greater heights, playing an active role in modelling our culture of testing, learning, and innovation.

You will have the opportunity to work with many talented and passionate colleagues.  This includes building close relationships with our agency partners to maximise the effectiveness of our campaigns, working alongside the other Individual Giving manager and Agency manager to ensure we have synergies across our campaigns and working with our Stewardship team to ensure the onward journeys and retention are well planned and focused.

You will have the opportunity to manage at least one officer who is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of marketing campaigns. Your role will be to support, challenge and inspire them to succeed – with a real focus on their development.

Working arrangements

This is 12 month fixed term contract. 

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you

PLUS is delighted to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to progress their career into a junior management role supporting a registered service manager to meet the challenges of supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex health conditions at one of the following, supported living or registered service

You will support the line manager of the service with the day to day service provision to meet service users’ aspirations.  Your role will be to guide and assist support worker staff and be responsible for the day to day provision of the service as directed by the Registered Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to take the first steps on a career path for those staff who aspire to be future managers. 

You would be required to ensure the smooth running of the services within the legal requirements of CQC and any commissioner requirements. You will also attend care/support planning and review meetings and liaise with health and social care professionals involved in service users’ care as well as supporting service users in the same way as other support staff across the full range of duties.

This is a full-time post, so applicants must be prepared to work the full range of shifts including weekends, sleep-in, waking nights etc.  You must be physically capable of pushing wheelchairs and supporting service users who may be physically dependent. We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day work of our innovative Hearing Voices Projects. To be successful in this role, you need to have an in-depth understanding of the Hearing Voices Movement and the role of peer support groups within this. You will ideally have experience of supervising or mentoring volunteers and some project management experience.

With the confidence and organisational skills necessary to take the lead on busy and diverse projects, you will be required to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (from the adult mental health, prison, forensic and youth sectors). As such, this role is best suited to someone who is flexible enough to modify their approach to suit the situation.

We are looking for someone with strong facilitation skills who is able to deliver and design training that communicates the values of the Hearing Voices Network clearly and accessibly.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Oversee the current Hearing Voices Projects to ensure they are consistent and embody the Mind in Camden and Hearing Voices Movement ethos.

This new role will provide dedicated 1-2-1 support to people accessing the Foodbank, delivering Foodbank collection sessions and developing our remote and in-person signposting and support for those accessing the Foodbank. This is a fast-faced, person-centered role, having a direct impact on the lives of local people experiencing hardship

Key responsibilities of this role will be:

• Providing operational support to Foodbank collection centres in host venues across Lambeth and Croydon
• Providing and developing wraparound support to those accessing the Foodbank
• Delivering and developing in-person and remote signposting
• Working with volunteers, partner organisations and host venues to provide effective and efficient support through collection sessions and beyond

The successful post holder must have:

• Proven experience of working or volunteering within a not-for-profit organisation/other food bank
• Experience working with people with multiple and complex needs
• Excellent communication skills

Supporting Families at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital

Since 2008, Citizens Advice Camden has provided a pioneering and well-regarded advice service at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) — the first of its kind in a UK children’s hospital. The service supports families of seriously ill and disabled children who are receiving treatment at GOSH, helping them navigate the life-changing socio-economic impacts of their child’s illness. We work closely with GOSH staff and partners — including social workers, family support officers, chaplains, and other stakeholders — to offer technical advice and casework that complements the hospital’s wider support services.

The issues families face can include reduced income, unsuitable housing, debt, and accessing benefits — especially during long or repeated hospital stays. Many families continue to receive our support over months or years, and our work is rooted in partnership, compassion, and a strong commitment to GOSH’s ‘One Team’ ethos.

The Role: Generalist Adviser/Caseworker

We are seeking an experienced adviser/caseworker to join the service. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, holistic advice and in-depth casework across a range of social welfare issues, with a strong focus on welfare benefits (including appeals) and housing, including complex and disrepair cases. You will provide tailored, long-term support to families, managing multi-issue caseloads with sensitivity and a commitment to empowering clients. Close collaboration with healthcare and support professionals at GOSH is essential to ensure integrated and effective service delivery. You will also contribute to research and campaigns by gathering social policy evidence and maintain accurate, detailed case records to support monitoring and evaluation.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in advice and casework—particularly in welfare benefits and housing—along with confidence in using digital systems and tools for remote working. You should be proactive, well-organised, and capable of handling a demanding and emotionally complex workload. Strong communication skills are essential, as is an understanding of the social and economic challenges faced by families of seriously ill children. You must hold, or be able to provide evidence of meeting, MaPS accreditation at advice and casework level.

Being available onsite is an important aspect of this role and so this role is hybrid working. The exact split between remote/onsite working will be by agreement with the line manager and to meet the needs of the project, which could change over time.

Appointment to the role is subject to being granted GOSH honorary staff status, which includes full compliance with GOSH policies and training requirements, as well as a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Power UP! – “Nothing about me, without me.”

In 2023, YWF trained a group of young people as researchers, empowering them to lead the way in understanding the challenges and opportunities facing Westminster’s young people.  Their work shaped our flagship report Our City. Our Future. which highlighted the urgent need for young people to be able to confidently shape their futures.

As a result of these findings, we collaborated with an additional group of young people to co-create Power UP! – a whole framework of opportunities providing training, mentorship, internships, youth associate roles and trusteeships to ensure youth voices are central to shaping decisions in both our organisation and in Westminster as a whole.

This includes:

• YEP! - 3-month engagement and skills development programme that uses external facilitators to help develop young participants skills in key areas of YWF's work.
•  YWF Youth Associates – A team of paid young consultants that we support to contribute to the work of YWF e.g. grants, research, public speaking – as well as brokering opportunities from external businesses and institutions looking for contributions from young people.  
• Trusteeships & Leadership Opportunities – Ensuring young people are embedded and influential in our governance and strategy.
• Mentorship, Training & Internships – Internal opportunities building pathways into further employment.

As Youth Voice & Engagement Manager, you will work with our Youth Voice Consultant, the team and young people to take a hands-on role in delivering, expanding and embedding these initiatives.

Your Role

Programme Leadership & Delivery

• Coordinate Power UP! - Plan, manage, and deliver activities including youth-led research, grant-making, internships and leadership opportunities.
• Run YEP! (Youth Empowerment Pathway) – Oversee this 3-month, 8-session programme, supporting external facilitators and guiding participants toward deeper engagement with and understanding of YWF.
• Mentor Youth Associates – Recruit, train and support young consultants leading change within YWF and their communities.
• Design & Deliver Workshops – Use a range of methods (including coordinating external facilitators) to engage young people, particularly those facing barriers such as language or social exclusion.
• Embed Well-being, Creativity & Inclusivity – Ensure activities support young people’s mental health, confidence and ability to participate meaningfully- and use creativity where appropriate.
• Safeguarding & risk assessments – Ensure safeguarding of young people is front and centre to our work.

Youth Engagement & Inclusion

• Embed Co-Production – Involve young people at all stages of programme design, delivery, and evaluation.
• Consult with Young People – Regularly engage with youth groups, ensuring Power UP! reflects their needs and aspirations.
• Strengthen Partnerships – Work with the Membership Manager to build strong relationships with member organisations to increase access and engagement.
• Support an Intern – Recruit and work alongside a youth voice and engagement intern, providing mentorship and hands-on experience.

Amplifying Youth Voice & YWF’s Work

• Showcase our Initiatives and Young People’s Achievements – Collaborate with the Business Development Lead and Comms and Engagement Director to share young people’s successes via digital and in-person platforms.
• Represent YWF at different public and professional settings, events and opportunities around youth voice, showcasing our work and approach.
• Champion Youth-Led Change – Work with the team to advocate for young people’s involvement in governance and policy within YWF and across Westminster.

Programme Management & Evaluation

• Measure Impact – Work with the Youth Voice Consultant and Evaluation and Data Specialist to use creative evaluation techniques to track the outcomes of Power UP!, ensuring activities lead to meaningful change.
• Manage Logistics – Oversee scheduling, coordination and reporting for all programme activities.
• Manage payments and budgets – manage an activities budget for the YEP! Programme, including overseeing facilitator costs and payments for young people

• Has experience in youth engagement – You can design and deliver innovative, inclusive programmes.
• Excels and believes in co-production – You involve young people at all stages of programme design and delivery.
• Is culturally competent – You can work effectively with diverse groups, including young people whose first language isn’t English.
• Has experience with creative session planning & delivery – You use arts-based, interactive, and accessible methods to engage young people.
• Understands impact measurement – You use creative evaluation techniques to assess and demonstrate the difference Power UP! Makes.
• Can confidently embed safeguarding practices through risk assessments and a person-centred approach.
• Can manage people – Experience in managing interns, volunteers, or staff is desirable but not essential—we can support you in this.
• Is organised and proactive – You can manage multiple projects while keeping track of details and deadlines.
• Champions opportunity – You will ensure Power UP! is accessible to all youth organisations and Westminster’s young people.
• Can manage small budgets – experience of this isn’t essential, but we would like someone who isn’t afraid to tackle a spreadsheet and oversee a budget!
