About the Role

The Head of Fundraising will be a key member of our Senior Management Team (SMT) and take ownership of our Fundraising Strategy to support the diversification of our income. This role is vital to our future growth and sustainability, and an opportunity to lead an exciting part of the charity which makes a real difference to the students we support.

Strategy and Leadership

• Lead the delivery of our fundraising strategy in line with our current organisational strategy which runs from 2024-2029. 
• Lead on the management of key information about Get Further’s fundraising activity and ensure it is stored appropriately, well organised and with high attention to detail. This will include supporting the transition of the fundraising function onto Salesforce.
• Prepare fundraising update reports for the Finance and Risk Committee and the Board of Trustees as required.

Fundraising and Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead the core fundraising activities, including line managing our Fundraising Officer. This includes developing an in-depth understanding of existing and potential supporters to provide tailored relationship management, including engagement opportunities, to meet significant targets over multiple years.
• Support the Fundraising Officer to identify new prospects, in particular, charitable trusts and foundations that have the potential to support Get Further for the first time. You will effectively qualify and engage with prospects to build a pipeline for the coming years, matching prospects with appropriate asks.
• Oversee and write compelling applications for funding that are tailored to each recipient and make a convincing case for how their support with help more young people achieve their gateway qualifications.
• Lead on ensuring all supporters and donors receive updates and reports within the required timeframes and that these are crafted with impact data and case studies to ensure maximum stakeholder engagement.

Team Management and Collaboration

• Provide effective line management of our Fundraising Officer to support their personal development and successful delivery of their role.
• Work closely with the COO to develop budgets to accompany applications and provide financial reports to funders and partners.
• Work closely with the Impact Team to develop efficient processes for impact reporting to funders.
• Support the COO to ensure that policies relating to fundraising are up to date and fit for purpose.
• Provide expertise to the Senior Management Team on philanthropic opportunities and ensure fundraising is conducted in line with the relevant legislation and the Code of Fundraising Practice.

To raise voluntary income from a range of Grantmakers including Trusts, Foundations and local Government grant funders contributing to an overall team target of £1-million. Working effectively within the team unit and across the organisation you will meet individual targets through building excellent relationships with funders, leading to more young people reached by Eikon’s services.

Responsibilities:

Income generation

· Raise voluntary unrestricted and restricted income through submission of high-quality proposals (60% of time)

· Lead on developing the portfolio of funders, joining external networks, seeking out leads from internal staff/ trustees and developing intelligence on potential funders.

· Provide support as requested for significant strategic opportunities to support the Grants & Partnerships Lead.

· Develop an effective approach for raising unrestricting income.

· Work to agreed metrices including an annual target of £120,000-£150,000/year (exact target will be dependent on working hours agreed and level of experience), a set number of bids and reports submitted monthly, number of multi-year commitments and lifetime value of grants (to be agreed).

Target Audience:

Account Management:

· Provide excellent account management to grant funders.

· Optimise funding potential and retention of funders through quality and timely reports, regular communication including meetings, and through building excellent relationships.

· Thinking creatively, working with colleagues organise own events/opportunities to increase engagement of funders e.g. project visit, garden open day

· Identify other funding opportunities through relationships, for example for Major Donors, Corporate partnerships and Individual Givers.

· Lead on administration for all designated grants including thank you letters, updating Donorfy and sharing info/updates across the team (comprising approximately 15% of the time).

Internal Reporting:

· Manage accurate and up to date pipeline information on Donorfy, being able to pull reports for information and analysis including:

o Provision of data and narrative for monthly team meetings

o Contribution to Board reporting with narrative and pipeline information

o Analysis for annual planning sessions

Quality and standards:

· Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.

· Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.

· Prepare relevant Grant Agreements and contractual information.

· Carry out risk assessments for all activities for which you are responsible.

· Carry out required basic due diligence on new funders.

Finance and resources:

· Operate within organisational approved budgets, policies and procedures.

Communications and relationships:

Strategy/transformation work:

Job Purpose

The Ruth Strauss Foundation is looking to grow its fundraising team and this role will play a pivotal part in developing Individual Giving for the organisation. This role will lead the Individual Giving and Legacy programme, responsible for building the database of regular givers, introducing new campaigns and products to acquire new donors and increase retention rates and lifetime donor value.

This role will be responsible for developing a supporter centric marketing strategy generating a supporter journey which drives excellent supporter experience, creating a RSF family of donors. This role will develop products for in memory fundraising and build our legacy programme from scratch, developing a legacy fundraising strategy and subsequent comms plan and journey.

About the Role

As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for setting up and updating all property and resident accounts on the rental ledger system and for ensuring that rental income in correctly reflected on both the rent and finance systems on a timely basis.

You will work closely with project staff and housing benefit departments regarding rental income queries and ensure that rental income is received in accordance with the charity’s internal financial controls and all legal regulatory requirements are complied with. Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager – Fundraising to join a well-established and impactful health charity. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in developing and executing marketing strategies that inspire and engage donors to support the charity’s vital fundraising efforts.

You will play a key role in driving both donor acquisition and retention, ensuring that the charity meets its fundraising targets and continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. This is an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead fundraising marketing campaigns, developing creative strategies that drive donations and increase engagement with both individual and corporate supporters.

· Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to ensure fundraising activities are aligned with the charity’s mission, objectives, and values.

· Manage multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including digital, social media, email, and print, to effectively reach and engage current and potential donors.

· Collaborate closely with the Fundraising Team, ensuring seamless integration between marketing and fundraising strategies to meet fundraising goals.

· Monitor and analyse campaign performance, using data to provide insight and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

· Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and external agencies, to strengthen fundraising efforts.

· Manage the fundraising marketing budget, ensuring campaigns are cost-effective while delivering maximum impact.

· Lead, mentor, and support a small marketing team, providing guidance and training to junior staff to enhance their professional development.

Person Specification:

· Proven experience in fundraising marketing, with a strong track record of delivering successful campaigns that drive donations and engagement.

· Strong strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to fundraising objectives.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages that inspire action and resonate with donors.

· In-depth knowledge of multi-channel marketing, particularly in a fundraising context, and how to leverage digital, social media, and traditional channels effectively.

· Project management skills to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.

· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track and report on campaign performance, and make data-driven decisions for optimisation.

· Experience in leading and supporting a team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.

· Experience working within a charity or non-profit organisation, particularly in fundraising and donor relations.

· Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising platforms to support campaign management and donor engagement.

· Understanding of digital fundraising trends and tools.

· Budget management experience in a fundraising context.

We're seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to Chair our Independent Advisory Group (IAG) whose role is to provide independent advice to the Travalyst Board and Secretariat on the delivery of Travalyst’s strategy. As Chair, you'll provide independent strategic guidance, critical insights, and expert advice to shape Travalyst’s initiatives and impact. This role requires a commitment of approximately 1-2 days per month over an initial two-year term (with the possibility of renewal).

Your Impact

• Set the IAG’s agenda and priorities, in close collaboration with the Travalyst CEO and Board Chair.

• Chair a minimum of six virtual meetings per year, bringing all IAG Members together to share learning and provide strategic business updates; ensuring that divergent opinions are heard and respected, and that the group forms a collective view when needed.

• Ensure that the IAG’s advice is timely, relevant, and delivered appropriately to the Board and/or Secretariat.

• Attending Travalyst Board meetings to give updates on IAG activities, performance and learnings (likely 1-2 per year).

• Attending Travalyst’s Annual Convening (likely 2 days per year, usually in Europe).

• Regular strategy and operations meetings with the Secretariat and Travalyst COO.

• Regular status meetings and 1:1 check-ins with IAG Members.

• Regular status meetings with the Travalyst Secretariat.

• Ad hoc meetings, calls, reading/ document reviews, and email exchanges.

• Be accountable for the performance of the IAG.

• Champion Travalyst’s work externally.

About the IAG

Our IAG is comprised of a global group of some of the world’s leading travel and sustainability experts. The role of the IAG is to provide independent advice to the Travalyst Board and Secretariat on the delivery of Travalyst’s strategy. Its primary remit is the expert review of Travalyst’s product roadmaps, including impact evaluation. In addition, the IAG’s proactive advice is invited on any topic, including Travalyst’s strategy and theory of change.

The IAG currently has six members, appointed as a core group of experts with a systemic view of travel and tourism. We expect this group to grow to 8-10 members during 2025/6, to fill specific gaps in expertise. IAG Members are appointed by the Secretariat, in consultation with the IAG Chair.

Where needed, the IAG may form a task group (including external subject matter experts) with a clear, time-bound remit. External subject matter experts are appointed by the Secretariat, in consultation with the IAG Chair.

The IAG sets its agenda and priorities through close collaboration between the IAG Chair, Travalyst CEO, and Travalyst Board Chair. It is accountable to its Terms of Reference, which are approved by the Board.

• An affinity for the vision and mission of Travalyst, and an appetite to navigate the tensions inherent in driving system change and bringing stakeholders on the journey.

• Proficiency in English language and able to chair in English.

• Ability to attend meetings during EU-compatible business hours.

Ideally, you have one or more of the following:

• Strong chairing experience, particularly of groups with divergent and nuanced opinions.

• Existing profile and credibility with sustainability stakeholders, in line with the ambition and future scale of Travalyst.

• Good knowledge of, and networks across the global travel and tourism industry, or sustainability data technology, or similar industry.

• Good knowledge of research methods, and the ability to discern robust arguments made from research.

Support available to you as IAG Chair

Operational support from the Secretariat will include:

• Ensuring the smooth operational running of the IAG to deliver its agenda, priorities and roadmap.

• Preparing, supporting and debriefing IAG meetings, and managing records of key advice and decisions.

• Leading recruitment and onboarding of new IAG Members and/or subject matter experts.

• Monitoring IAG governance processes and performance, and making recommendations for improving processes.

Honorarium

The IAG Chair will be offered an annual honorarium, in recognition of the critical role played by the IAG and the time commitment required for full participation and leadership.

Additionally, pre-approved reasonable out-of-pocket expenses can be reimbursed, where required.
