The Role
We are seeking an experienced Trusts and Grants Manager to lead and expand our income from trusts, foundations, and grantmakers. This role is pivotal for advancing our mission and will involve developing and managing a portfolio of restricted donors, researching new funding opportunities, and crafting compelling proposals. While the focus is on trusts and foundations, experience with corporate and institutional funding is desirable. You will collaborate closely with the Director, finance team, and project managers to shape competitive, impactful funding proposals and work in parallel with the Supporter Engagement Manager to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that aligns with the organisation’s overall fundraising goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Donor Management: Take primary responsibility for a portfolio of existing trust donors, providing consistent stewardship and relationship management to ensure ongoing support, including both lower-value and potential high-impact donors.
- Research and Strategy: Conduct targeted research on new trust and foundation prospects, Co-develop a fundraising strategy and plans to approach and engage them based on donor capacity and interest.
- Database Management: Work with internal stakeholders to streamline the donor database for efficient tracking and reporting, ensuring accurate documentation of all interactions, proposals, and updates.
- Collaborative Communication: Partner with colleagues in Communications, Public Fundraising, and Individual Giving to coordinate donor communications for specific appeals or program updates, aligning messaging to enhance engagement.
- Proposal Development: Coordinate with project managers and the Director to prepare timely and impactful funding proposals tailored to trust and foundation requirements, leveraging program data and impact narratives.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee budget tracking and financial reporting for trust and foundation grants, ensuring accurate fund allocation, compliance with donor requirements, and timely submission of financial reports.
- Income Targets: Take an active role in meeting and exceeding annual income targets by developing strategies to maximise trust and foundation funding, regularly assessing progress and reporting to senior management.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of donor interactions, grants, and proposals within the organisation’s database, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated success in securing restricted funding grants, with a focus on trusts and foundations in the healthcare or international development sectors (desirable but not required).
- Proven track record of managing a portfolio of funders, developing successful proposals, and coordinating across teams to meet ambitious income targets.
- Ability to conceptualise and craft clear, compelling proposals that effectively communicate our impact and program needs.
- Collaborative and approachable style, with the ability to cultivate relationships at all levels and provide clear, concise communication.
- Experience managing systems and processes, including CRM/GRM systems (such as Donorfy), and strong reporting skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in managing grant budgets and ensuring compliance with both internal policies and donor regulations.
- Skilled in scrutinising financial reports and liaising with project and finance teams to track expenditures and maintain accountability.
- Experience managing donor compliance for a range of donors with varying requirements.
- A passion for healthcare development and international development, with an understanding of trends in the sector.

The Role
Our influencing work is changing the UK conversation about domestic abuse, with both national
and locally based elected representatives and the officials and colleagues who work alongside them.
As our Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you’ll lead impactful policy initiatives that align with our mission to end domestic abuse and to ensure support for the whole family, preventing harm, reducing risk and supporting recovery. Working closely with our Head of Public Affairs and Policy, you’ll develop strategies which will amplify our voice and the voice of survivors, and deepen our policy engagement, particularly in relation to multi-agency work, health and family justice.
You will be joining the organisation at a pivotal moment as the new Government makes an explicit commitment to halve VAWG in ten years, including planning a new strategy and a number of new Bills to support this mission This provides an unmissable policy development and influencing opportunity to ensure that SafeLives’ priorities for improving the response to domestic abuse are taken forward by Government.
This is an ideal role for a dynamic and experienced policy manager with a commitment to social change and the prevention of domestic abuse.
You will be based in our London office and/or remote working, with regular meetings in London and occasional travel to other locations around the UK, including our Bristol office.

Internal Communications Lead
We're looking for someone to join the team for a maternity cover contract – ideally for 12-14 months, with time to handover at the start and end of the contract. Join the charity at a time of exciting change, and support staff and volunteers to deliver more impact for stroke survivors.

The Role
The Internal Communications Team sits within the People Experience Team, who play a vital role in shaping people’s experience of the charity as a great place to work, volunteer and grow.
This is an exciting time to be taking on this role. The opportunity
We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and driven Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth and development. As Reporting & Management Accountant, you will provide strategic analysis to support and challenge our stakeholders in making the right decisions for our growing organisation. We are a critical friend to the organisation, ensuring that we are maximising the impact of our income and expenditure for our social mission. You'll understand and support the programmes we work with, adding value to decisions. The focus of this role will be budgeting, forecasting and management reporting as well as representing our team in organisation-wide projects and driving consistent improvement in processes.
* Responsible for funder financial reporting, particularly in relation to contracts with governmental bodies.
* Preparing the first draft of financial results for the management accounts for the Executive Committee and Trustees. Final management accounts will be drafted by the Finance Director, with commentary from the Business Partners.
* Supporting on creating financial models to support existing programmes and future business cases.
* Working with large sub-contract providers to ensure that they are adhering to the terms of their financial reporting.
You'll take ownership for:
* Preparing financial reports against each of our government contracts in line with the funder requirements.
* Building strong relationships with your stakeholders across the business, such that financial implications are factored into future decisions
* Liaising with teams across the organisation to ensure the data is complete and variances against budget contract performance can be explained.
* Working with the other finance business partners to understand changes in business operation that will inform income forecasts and cost reporting.

As an essential member of the charity’s services team, the Relationship Manager is responsible for establishing and nurturing partnerships with companies in the print, paper, publishing, packaging, and graphic arts industries.
This role focuses on connecting the charity with companies not yet engaged, thus expanding access to resources like our 24/7 helpline to more sector employees. By building these connections, the Relationship Manager not only helps ensure more employees have access to our support services but helps provide valuable insights on the needs and challenges of those working in our sector, helping shape and enhance our support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify business in our sector with whom we are not currently engaged with and make an approach with the intention of them becoming partners and thus granting their staff access to our support services.
- Build and maintain relationships with businesses in the sector, including visiting their premises and demonstrating the value of the charity’s services to encourage take-up.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote our monthly messages to businesses and employees.
- Report back to the services team on the main needs and challenges of those working in our sector, helping shape and enhance our support services.
- Maintain our Salesforce database to ensure information about partner businesses are accurate and up to date.
- Attend and represent the charity at trade fairs and industry events at least quarterly to talk about our services, including occasional overnight stays.

Job Purpose:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will act as a resource for The Robin Cancer Trust, beneficiaries, healthcare professionals and the wider public on germ cell cancers. - Lead responsibility for keeping up to date with clinical updates relating to germ cancer and communicating these to the team to inform service development and delivery.
- Research, create and provide accessible information and resources on all aspects of germ cell cancer (detection, treatment, recovery and survivorship)
- Oversight of the content provided in all training materials, resources and information developed by the wider team relating to germ cell cancer detection, treatment and recovery and survivorship.
- Build external stakeholder and peer relationships with other key cancer partners including hospital networks, cancer care partnerships, and other voluntary sector providers. Playing an active role in the germ cell cancer community.
- Working as a core part of the Robin Cancer Trust team to engage people face to face, providing information and on early detection, treatment, and recovery.
