The role

We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising success with a particular focus on corporate partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building and maintaining strong relationships, has a passion for securing new funding opportunities, and is enthusiastic about engaging with volunteers and partners to achieve our mission.

This role sits within our Fundraising and Partnerships department, working alongside an equivalent Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager. Together, you will shape and deliver our fundraising strategy, with line management and support provided by the CEO.

The award-winning Black Swimming Association is recruiting a CEO to lead its close knit, passionate team into its fifth year of establishment.

Sitting within the Supporter Led Fundraising (SLF) department, the Regional Fundraising Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for recruiting, stewarding and motivating individuals, companies and community groups to raise £3m per year. 

The team consists of 12 home based Regional Fundraising Officers (RFO’s). As one of three Community Fundraising Managers (CFM) you will be responsible for the line management of approx. 4-5 members of the team alongside the management of one of our income streams – either Regional Corporate, Community Groups or DIY.

Reporting into the Head of Regional Fundraising, you will work closely with senior stakeholders within ARUK and be required to play a key role in the implementation of the ARUK 10-year strategy and supporting on the development of the fundraising strategy.

You will work closely with the other CFMs and the SLF Managers Group to ensure consistency with supporter stewardship, manage budgets and support in financial planning, review team capacity and identify and manage priorities throughout the year, ensuring efficiency and a first-class supporter experience. Your overall goal will be helping drive our ambitious organisation growth and ultimately helping us find a cure.

Due to the nature of this role, we will require you to attend our Granta Park office, near Cambridge, one day per week, plus travel to meet the team and attend external meetings/events.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Line Management

· Line management of the high performing remote Regional Fundraising Officers; inspiring and driving their success to ensure they remain highly motivated in their roles, achieve their targets and play a key part in the performance of the wider team. As well as 1-1’s and personal growth reviews.

· You will monitor, review, and empower direct reports to ensure effective communication across the wider team and with key stakeholders e.g. Volunteering, Corporate Team, Sporting Events Team, Gifts in Wills Team, Supporter Care Team, Supporter Engagement Team and others.

· Alongside the other CFMs you will be responsible for planning and delivering in person team meetings approx. 5 times per year – these are key meetings to bring the team together and share plans and ideas in addition to ensuring that the remote based team are meeting with and hearing from key internal teams.

Income streams

You will be responsible for one of the following:

· DIY Income Stream Ownership - Writing and delivering the strategy for the current income stream and bringing in ambitious growth to £2.5m over the next year.

· Community Groups Income Stream - Writing and delivering the strategy for the income stream and identifying areas of growth

· Regional Corporate Income Stream - Writing and delivering the strategy for the Regional Corporate income stream and identifying areas of growth

Monitoring and Reporting

· An immediate responsibility for this role is the implementation of the new CRM database (Salesforce). You will need to dedicate time to understating and supporting the implementation, ensuring that it works for the team and that the team are utilising it according to business process and its implementation allows for maximum benefit to the team and all areas of fundraising

· Manage the team’s income and expenditure budget, including monthly reporting, and supporting with monthly reforecasts, and annual budget and operational plan setting.

· Review supporter numbers and income against DIY targets to track impact, ROI and cost income ratio and report back regularly.

· Ensure the fundraising CRM is being used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and financial reporting, data segmentation and analysis.

· Use data insights and trends to support the team in budgeting, forecasting and mitigation plans.

· Lead on the build, development and use of Power BI Reporting across DIY and other income streams.

· Continue to review and be willing to change team processes and contribute to wider organisational process changes where necessary.

Relationship Management

· Build and maintain excellent working relationships with agencies, platform providers and event delivery companies to identify new opportunities and ensure all avenues are being optimised for ARUK.

· Work with the Sporting Events Managers to create a process to identify and steward high-value event participants to add value to their fundraising and ensure we are spotting opportunities beyond their current event.

· Work closely with the Marketing & Engagement Team to brief in marketing requirements, share trends, learnings, and results to optimise future activities.

· Work closely with managers from SLF Departments to support on the strategic direction of ARUK, prioritise work and any conflicts across teams, as well as deliver any tactical projects, new processes and ways of working.

Strategy & Operational Planning

· Work in consultation with the Head of Regional Fundraising to develop the regional fundraising strategy and annual tactical plan for ARUK to continue to build income growth in line with organisational objectives.

· Stay abreast of sector activity and actively participate in sector wide forums.

Stewardship and Supporter experience

· Plan and deliver an excellent communications journey for DIY participants and regional supporters including exploring new technologies and how we can talk to our supporters in the way most effective and relevant to them - whether that be email, phone, face to face, through social channels. Whilst also ensuring it aligns with wider stewardship goals and future cross-sell asks.

· Work with the wider SLF team to share best practice, ‘surprise and delight’ success and re-engagement activity to help drive long-term loyalty.

· Work with Philanthropy and Direct Marketing Teams to build on the Mid Value Donor programme. 

· Work alongside Data and Insights Teams to understand the potential lifetime value of our supporters and ensure opportunities are developed for supporters to hold a long-term fundraising relationship with ARUK.

What we are looking for:

· Line Management experience.

· Great knowledge and passion for building excellent supporter relationships and ensuring supporters feel valued and thanked appropriately.

· Good experience and knowledge of digital marketing strategies with a focus on supporter acquisition.

· Experience in creating supporter journeys.

· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial targets.

· Good practice and understanding of GDPR and compliance.

· Adept at utilising data strategically for decision-making and achieving organisational goals and using analytics to identify trends and optimise donor engagement.

· Strong financial management and budgeting skills.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 

· An ability to manage a busy and varied workload.

· Skilled at building excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ways of working: As part of our Remote ways of working you will be home based. You will only need to attend the office for specific requirements of the role and the business needs.

We have a proud history of volunteer and supporter-led fundraising, and our well-established Regional Relationships Team plays a key role in achieving income growth that will support our mission of beating blood cancer in a generation by developing new regional opportunities across our volunteer and community fundraising network. As part of our new strategy, we have launched a revised DIY fundraising journey and new fundraising volunteer roles which will help leap-forward our ability to beat blood cancer. This role will be responsible for maintaining relationships with our current network of regional fundraising volunteers whilst growing our volunteer and community group network.

This is a homebased role, and you will be expected to travel across your region, therefore you must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle insured for business use. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced systems manager to support, manage and improve systems within our rapidly evolving charity. 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing in-house systems support and systems administration for platforms and systems used by nurtureuk’s team, with a particular focus on Salesforce, working alongside external developers and outsourced IT support. You’ll also be responsible for providing key support on information security.

Nurtureuk is a charity that has been working with schools for many years to improve the social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing (SEMH) of children and young people. We help schools remove barriers to learning by promoting nurture in education.

The role and your key responsibilities

As Marketing Lead, you’ll head up the marketing to our UK and international school audiences - from building compelling email campaigns to crafting engaging slide decks. UK and international schools are our two biggest audiences, and you’ll play a key role in driving their continued growth, helping us to support as many students as possible to make informed decisions about their next steps.

Your key responsibilities:
 

• Marketing strategy and planning

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to set the marketing strategy for our UK and international school audiences, including understanding our customer personas, setting objectives, and identifying priorities for the year.

  • Execute the strategy and lead on the creation and delivery of all comms to these two key audiences.

• Email

  • Plan, write, and send compelling email campaigns, tailored to our different school audiences across the world.

  • Work with the Content team to plan content for our teacher, parent and student-facing newsletters, and proof-read drafts.
  • Use data to conduct regular ‘test and learns’ to maximise engagement with email campaigns. 

• Events 

  • Work with our Events team to effectively market our school-facing events, including in-person teacher conferences, webinars, and virtual university and careers fairs for students.

  • Create and send promotional comms, and support the Events team to write engaging event descriptions, conversion, and follow-up emails.

  • Provide on-the-day support to the Events team for bigger events, such as our in-person teacher conferences.

• Social media

  • Grow, create engaging content for, and spark conversations in our private UK teacher and international counselor Facebook groups.

• Design

  • Write effective briefs and work with our in-house Graphic Designer to create impactful marketing collateral to use across digital channels and at in-person events.

  • Create your own graphic design projects, based on templates, such as event agendas and slide decks for the UK and International schools teams to present at conferences. 

Working together

You’ll be working as part of a small marketing team, alongside our: Head of Marketing (your line manager), Marketing Lead for HE and Employers, Events Manager, Events Leads, and Events Assistant. You’ll also be working closely with our Content team, as well as our UK and International school partnerships teams. 

What we’re looking for

• 3-4 years’ experience in a marketing role.
   

• Exceptional writing skills, including ability to pick up our Unifrog tone of voice and tailor messages to different audiences.
   

• Excellent writing and communication skills, in person, over the phone and via video call.

Key details

• £36,000 - £40,000 per annum (Grade B) (pro rata) depending on experience, plus a share in a company-wide performance bonus.

As Volunteer Manager, you will oversee all aspects of volunteer management, including recruitment, training, development of new volunteer projects, and ongoing support. You will be willing to develop and deliver training programmes yourself where needed and identify and support volunteers to take on roles such as trainers and facilitators. A key focus will be ensuring volunteers are well-prepared and integrated into ADCH activities. 

As part of a small team, you will need to be hands-on and flexible, taking on a variety of tasks and supporting organisational events and projects. With occasional travel and overnight stays required, this role suits someone adaptable, resourceful, and ready to make a meaningful impact.

NEA’s Benefits Entitlements and Claims Support Officers are empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but are also knowledgeable, assertive, and confident. The post holder will be responsible for giving comprehensive benefit entitlement advice and support to householders. The post holder will obtain relevant information about a client’s circumstances and offer accurate guidance about potential eligibility for additional benefit entitlements. This will include the completion of application forms as appropriate. Advice will be given over the phone, via online contact and in face-to-face settings where appropriate.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

You will have a good understanding of Welfare Rights, including entitlements, systems, claim processes and current legislation and practices. Demonstrable experience of providing advice via telephone and face to face.

You will need good organisational skills, excellent communication skills as well as an understanding of the needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders.

NEA has several office locations throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and welcomes applicants from all regions. However, access to high quality learning opportunities and progression routes can be sparse, and funding for learning in Foyers has been significantly reduced. Our vision is to build a creative learning and development environment that is shaped by the Foyer community and is accessible to any young person in a Foyer.

Our Advantaged Thinking Learning Community (ATLC) framework and digital Learning Management System (LMS) will provide an environment for young people to thrive, with space for collaboration, learning and personal development in a supportive community they can help to build. NEA’s Energy Advisers are empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but are also knowledgeable, assertive, and confident. Their main role is to provide one to one advice to clients referred through the charity’s Warm and Safe Homes helpline and to deliver energy advice presentations to groups.  They also get involved in a range of tasks to support these activities.  Energy Advisers sit within the Communities Directorate and are part of a dynamic and caring team of professionals who go the extra mile to support their clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.

What you will need to succeed

Working within our Communities Directorate you will have demonstrable experience of delivering Energy Advice and helping others.  Therefore, it is vital that you have empathy, confidence and knowledge of the issues facing vulnerable low-income households.

You will have knowledge and understanding of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.

You will also have knowledge of assistance available for energy efficiency improvements to low-income households.

You will be an excellent communicator, with proven experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders – with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

An opportunity to really make a difference. 
Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in 2020 by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated researchers, doctors and nurses working alongside Professor Emma Crosbie. Since then, the original founders have been joined by invaluable volunteers and 2 staff members to ensure we can raise awareness, support patients, fund and promote womb cancer research.

Womb cancer, also known as endometrial and uterine cancer, is the most common gynaecological cancer in the UK. Affecting approximately 9,700 people annually, most are diagnosed over 50 years of age and have gone through the menopause, but womb cancer can affect younger women too. When diagnosed at an early stage, womb cancer is often treatable: when diagnosed at early stages, 1 and 2, the survival rate is 92%. However, when the disease is diagnosed at later stages, 3 and 4, the survival rate reduces to 15%. Currently 1 in 5 women, or people with a womb, are diagnosed at advanced stages. Latest figures show that the equivalent of 27 people every day are receiving a new womb cancer diagnosis and 7 people are dying from this disease every day in the UK. Peaches want to change that and save lives. We can't think of a better way to spend your time and deploy your skills. 

We are looking for a knowledgeable, diligent and skilled CNS to help develop and provide support services.

Role overview

Over the next 12 months, we have exciting plans to enhance the support services offered by Peaches to ensure we can meet the diverse needs of those affected by womb cancer. We envisage support services delivered will build upon our current monthly virtual peer support coffee mornings to include more bespoke and frequent meetings as well as an online peer support group, online peer events and some in-person events. Remote working contract for 12 hours per week on a 12 month contract. We may request that you attend in person strategy meetings in Manchester on a quarterly basis and some in person support events

Key responsibilities

Development of support services including an online peer support group, online peer support events, webinar series and in person events.

Manage support queries, set up of online events and peer support group including set up and moderation with assistance from charity staff...

Assisting in the development of content related to support services to include in monthly newsletter and social media.

Support the development of medical information pages on website and in print literature.

Help to facilitate the expansion of our network of CNS and healthcare professionals with an interest in womb cancer. Develop relationships to ensure appropriate signposting to charity and national awareness of support services offered through attendance at relevant conferences and events.

Ensure safeguarding of those requesting support and participating in peer support services.

We are looking for someone with the following:

Band 7 qualified Cancer Nurse Specialist with experience of caring for those affected by womb cancer

NMC registered

Previous experience of caring for others in a sensitive manner

Up to date knowledge of womb cancer

Previous experience of facilitating one to one support

Previous experience of facilitating group sessions is desirable but not required
