About the role:

This role is home based, working 6 hours a day between 12-30 hours per week. Days and hours to be discussed, if successful.

There will be an initial induction period that will run for 3 consecutive days 9am-5pm in person at the National Contact Centre. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed rota, an example of an 18 hour rota is below:

Week 1 of rolling rota: Monday 14:00 to 20:00, Tuesday 16:00 to 22:00 & Thursday 08:00 to 14:00

Week 2 of rolling rota: Monday 08:00 to 14:00, Wednesday 08:00 to 14:00 & Sunday 17:00 to 23:00

Week 3 of rolling rota: Friday 16:00 to 22:00, Saturday 16:00 to 22:00 & Sunday 10:00 to 16:00

As a Live Chat Support Worker you will be: -

• Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing emotional support, information and referral on to Victim Support services and other agencies
• Providing immediate emotional support, practical advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.
• Responsible for recording live chat conversations with victims of crime accurately and professionally, including recording all safeguarding actions taken.
• Responsible for taking disclosures and responding appropriately by either escalating the safeguarding concern to the 'Designated Safeguarding Officer' or to respond immediately to life threatening situations.

You will need:

• Experience of working in challenging and changing environments with the emphasis on excellence in service delivery.
• Experience of organising and prioritising a complex workload.
• The ability to deal sensitively with challenging and emotionally charged situations, demonstrate empathy and control own emotions.
• The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form and have competency in digital programmes (such as Microsoft)

ABOUT THIS ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Grants Associate will play a key role in supporting More in Common’s fundraising and grants management efforts across Europe. This fixed-term role (filling in for one of our colleagues who is going on parental leave) will focus on identifying new funding opportunities, developing relationships with funders, designing and managing multi-country grants, and providing fundraising and grants support to More in Common’s national teams.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of multi-country proposals, including project design, team coordination, proposal writing, funder liaison, and providing fundraising support to country teams as needed
• Researching new funding opportunities, from a variety of sources, including foundations and public funds and staying abreast of developments in the philanthropic sector

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of professional experience working with grants – e.g., grant making, grant management, as part of a development team, or other similar work. Specific roles matter less than demonstrated familiarity with the grant application process and grant requirements.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
• French language fluency a plus; German, Portuguese, Polish or Spanish also beneficial
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work calmly under pressure

Background to School Food Matters

School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.

Young Marketeers

This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 12 cities across England and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for three years.  The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives.  Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall.  Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!

Key Tasks include:

· Assist with recruitment of four schools to take part in Young Marketeers

· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project

· Build and support relationships with contacts in partner organisations

· Schedule, organise and deliver

o One assembly in each school

o Two food growing sessions in each school

o One market trader training session in each school

o Market Day in the city centre in July for four schools

●Identify new platforms and channels, and keep abreast of current fundraising trends and comparator organisations to ensure that Mercy Corps in Europe is relevant with supporters

Qualifications and Transferable Skills

●At least five years of experience in a fundraising/marketing role, with proven experience in digital fundraising, including planning and delivering campaigns.

●Demonstrable knowledge of a range of digital fundraising channels.

●Experience of writing and editing engaging content for online donor audiences.

●Experience of setting digital KPIs and developing in-house digital fundraising capabilities.

●Proven ability to use analytics/metrics and user testing to inform and improve online campaigns.

Living Condition

The position is based in London, Edinburgh or remote and may require some national or international travel.

The role of Communications and Marketing Coordinator sits within the Communications Team at Kids Matter. As we seek to grow our audiences, our influence and ultimately our impact, it’s an exciting time to join the team. Antibiotic Research UK  (ANTRUK) is the UK patient organisation for people impacted by antibiotic and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Our legitimacy to advocate for change, with policy makers and NHS organisations, comes from our small-scale research projects, our engagement with patients and their families, and from our direct support of patients through our information service and peer-support activities.

As a Content Officer, you’ll play a critical role in driving our digital engagement. By creating compelling content for our social media, website and email programmes, you’ll help us attract, inspire, and mobilise more people to stand against hate. 

Your role will include:

• Content Creation: Write, design, and produce engaging content, including social media posts, emails, website copy and more. Use tools like Canva, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and CapCut to create graphics and videos from new and existing footage. 

• Digital Campaigns: Work with the Digital Lead to plan and execute creative campaigns that inspire action and raise funds. 

• Audience Engagement: Build and manage our presence on Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, X, and BlueSky, and engage with supporters through other platforms. Act as the first point of contact for supporters, responding to messages and comments and managing replies. 

• Performance Monitoring: Run tests on content across platforms, analyse results, and use insights to refine and improve our engagement strategies. 

What we think you’ll need to be able to do the job:

Essential

• 1+ year of experience in digital work for a campaign, charity, or political organisation. 

• Creativity and strong ideas for engaging content. 

• Experience in copywriting, graphic design, and video production and tools like Canva, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and CapCut. 

• Strong organisational skills, and ability to prioritise effectively. 

Desirable: 

• Knowledge and experience in the areas we work on would be an advantage – tackling the far right; building community resilience against hate, division and oppression; and campaigning against policies that fuel hate.
