The Supporter Care Coordinator role sits within the Supporter Experience team, whose goal is to ensure that all Scope supporters, whether they are giving time, money, or voice, have the best experience each time they interact with us.
Permanent, full time 35 hours a week
Location: The role will be based at Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW and individual must attend the office two days a week, the other three days can be from home, the office or both.
The role
The Supporter Care team is the first point of contact for all supporter and donor queries, so you will be at the frontline, engaging with a variety of people contacting Scope. The role of the Supporter Care Coordinator is to ensure that each of these people feels appreciated, informed, and satisfied after engaging with Scope, leaving them feeling valued and committed to giving their ongoing support.
You will:
- Be responsible for handling incoming queries from supporters, across telephone, email, and post, as well handling outbound supporter service calls and other communications.
- Process donations from different channels and sources, thanking supporters in a timely manner and maintaining good records of these actions.
- Report to the Supporter Care Team Leader, and sit within the wider Fundraising team.
- Work closely with colleagues across the directorate, providing support in key periods, and contributing to overall fundraising income goals and an improved supporter experience.

The role

Role Requirements
- Support planning and changes in the administration of children and young people’s timetable for children and family services.
- Support with photocopying of notes for subject access/ solicitor requests (SARS).
- Manage the SARS and redacting process with appropriate members of the Therapies teams.
- Update logs and coordinate the Clinical and Safeguarding Supervision across the Therapies teams, escalating non-compliance where required.
- Monitor mandatory training compliance and administer booking processes for all relevant training sessions/course.
- Coordinating specialist clinics, including spine and hip clinics; liaising with the Physiotherapy team to ensure the correct children are on the schedule. Liaison with external Consultants to organise the clinic lists.
- Carry out audiotyping of clinic letters and distribute as required.
- Update absences within the teams onto the SMI (staff care) system, as requested by the Heads of Service.
- Place orders for any required equipment and/or resources for departments and for the children and young people as deemed necessary.
- Take overview of clinical asset ordering, linking with the clinical assets team and management system, in line with MHRA guidelines and the medical devices policy.
- Track and monitor equipment orders with Heads of service, escalate delays and provide a central overview for all equipment re-charges and ordering.
- Raise and receipt PO’s and invoices for the therapies directorate and liaise closely with the finance team.
- Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. Purpose of the job
The Head of Digital will be responsible for leading our digital, IT and information systems. They will also have oversight of AV and for the technical development of online education materials.
The post holder will lead the digital transformation of the organisation, continuously improving the effectiveness and impact of the Society. They will lead resource planning, management, reporting and coordination of projects/initiatives to deliver change in line with business requirements. This will involve leading end to end delivery digital projects, including technology delivery and change management required to improve, implement and embed digital systems, IT infrastructures and processes.
Main responsibilities
- Project manage major digital projects and ensure relationships with external stakeholders and engagement with Members, Staff and Service Users are all managed effectively.
- Research solutions and make recommendations for the improvement of systems and infrastructure.
- Appoint suppliers of digital services and oversee the Institute’s relationships with them, ensuring they provide a high-quality service and value for money.
- Provide first line support to staff, responding to basic technical queries and issues, such as password resets, software installation, and troubleshooting common hardware and software issues.
- Manage the IT infrastructure and security of the CRM system.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the CRM system, including user access management and working with our support provider to carry out data backups and system updates.

About this role

Main responsibilities

- Carry out prospect research to identify new corporate supporters and relevant grant streams, and be proactive in developing new leads and connections.

- Explore and develop joint grant bids by liaising with colleagues, our members and potential external partners to support grant applications that align with our strategic aims.
- Work cross-team and draw on member and partner insights to understand key funding needs and opportunities and create strong funding proposals and budgets in support of these.
- Work closely with the director of people and funding to develop our funding strategy and achieve success against our funding objectives.
- Help to build a strong fundraising culture and ethos across the organisation, and wider community rail movement, including feeding expert advice and input into our member support team, training and events.
- Participate and contribute to our wider work, in particular helping us to use key events and campaigns such as our Community Rail Awards, to support fundraising.
- Develop, monitor and maintain key systems and processes, such as effective funder reporting and review meetings, and monitoring and reporting on fundraising KPIs.
Skills, competencies and experience
- Skills and experience in third sector fundraising, preferably including corporate fundraising, funder reporting and grants, along with a broad understanding of the full fundraising mix and confidence in identifying and developing new opportunities.
- A demonstrable proactive approach to engaging with new and existing funders to set up and continually develop lasting relationships that support a cause.
- Ability to prepare high-quality funding proposals/grant applications and reports, adapting the communication style for different audiences and stakeholders to maximise impact.

Other information
This post is home-based, but with some travel (including occasional overnight stays) for team meetings, events and external meetings. In this role, you will be working on a shift rota, which will include working early shifts: 8am - 3:30pm/4pm and /or late shifts: 3:30pm - 10:30pm and could include some weekends and bank holidays.
We may also have Trainee Floating Support Worker roles, working to support a caseload of people who are at greater risk of homelessness with a focus on addressing housing-related issues, improving quality of life and promoting independence. Your support will include help with benefits issues, mental and physical ill health, hoarding and antisocial behaviours within a recovery framework and structured key working assessment. This work will involve regular travel in London, visiting clients in their own homes or other locations.
As a Trainee, you will be working in a varied and rewarding role amongst a committed and supportive team. The training programme will teach you how to provide this support to clients, enabling them to achieve the objectives they have collaboratively created in their support and action plans. You will also assist clients with routine tasks and their goals relating to training, education, or employment.
As a Trainee, you will receive increments to your salary at six months and at nine months (subject to successful completion of the Trainee Programme).

Marketing and stewardship

The Advocacy & Communications Team works to support all area of our work including our Stop It Now helpline and programmes, our Shore website and support for young people, our paid services including training, assessments, intervention and consultancy as well as our advocacy, fundraising, research and teams in Scotland and Wales.
You will be responsible for project managing communications for our different services, teams and brands. You will develop, manage and deliver communication plans for these areas, working with operational colleagues to make the most of their expertise.
You will lead proactive reactive national, regional and trade press engagements across the charity. This includes a high-profile national campaign and several other projects vital to our success, identifying and developing newsworthy angles.
You will maintain existing relationships with journalists and build new ones to raise support of our work and advocate for the importance of preventing child sexual abuse. You will support and develop the skills of our spokespeople and work with case studies to make sure their stories are told in a sensitive and engaging way.
You will also be responsible for our blog posts and growing that audience proactively finding opportunities to shine a ilght on all areas of our work.
