Your Role
As the Philanthropy and Relationships Lead, you will:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a measurable plan for philanthropic growth based on key insights from our recent major donor evaluation.
- Support the Director of Fundraising, Engagement, and Voice to foster a culture of philanthropy across the organisation.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and senior colleagues to drive donor cultivation activities, leveraging relationships to maximize engagement.
Relationship Building
- Cultivate and nurture existing donor relationships, aligning their interests with Kids’ impactful work.
- Actively network and maintain visibility within the community to attract new supporters.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising, Engagement, and Voice team to integrate efforts and demonstrate the impact of our services.
Prospecting and Outreach
- Develop and implement a structured approach to identifying new donor prospects, including mid-level and major donors.
- Work with the Events Manager to design and execute cultivation events, creating opportunities for meaningful engagement.
- Establish a mid-level giving strategy and maintain a dynamic caseload of potential donors.
Financial and Budget Management
- Set and achieve income targets, using our CRM (Donorfy) to track progress and manage the donor pipeline.
- Develop accurate financial projections and maintain a balanced approach between ambition and realism.
Tailored Communications
- Create compelling cases for support and personalized impact reports, showcasing how donations make a difference.
- Craft thoughtful, donor-centric communications that resonate with supporters’ motivations.
About You
We’re looking for a motivated relationship manager with:
- Proven success in building and sustaining high-value donor relationships, resulting in significant financial support.
- Demonstrable experience in pipeline management, including identifying prospects and generating new financial gifts.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence in using CRM systems to efficiently manage relationships and forecast income.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team in Bristol as a Psychological Therapist. This post is offered as a fixed term contract until 31 March 2026 with possibility of extension, or as a secondment for internal applicants.
St Mungo’s Assertive Contact and Engagement (ACE) Service works with people with mental health needs who face barriers to support, and are not actively engaged with other mental health services. We operate across Bristol, running a variety of services including therapeutic groups and drop-ins as well as community outreach. The project reflects the diversity of Bristol and reaches people and communities that may have had difficulty accessing services that fully meet their needs in the past.
As a Psychological Therapist, you will join the North Star team, providing dual diagnosis support for people experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health challenges. Your role involves offering therapeutic interventions to those who struggle to access mainstream psychological services, focusing on relationship building, psychoeducation, individual therapy, and trauma-informed care. North Star also supports clients in forming connections and making referrals to specialist services for long-term care when they're ready. Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage a complex client caseload, offering weekly 1-1 therapeutic sessions, group therapy, and drop-in clinics at partner hostels.
- Collaborate with clients to identify goals for recovery and create person centred plans to support self-management, clinical progress, and social inclusion.
- Provide trauma-informed mental health care with a creative and flexible approach, fostering community connections and working alongside multiple agencies for holistic support.
- Work part-time for 30 hours per week across 3-4 days, including required Tuesday and Friday availability with flexibility for additional days.
About you

- Demonstrate a flexible and creative approach to engage with marginalised clients who may have multiple needs.
- Have experience of delivering therapy to people with multiple disadvantage, complex trauma and, substance use.
- Have a sound understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing homelessness along with an understanding of the difficulties they can experience in accessing services that are fully responsive to their needs. This may include personal lived experience of homelessness or accessing mental health services yourself.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide psychological guidance to colleagues, provide formulations and facilitate group supervisions and reflective practice sessions.
- Hold high level of specialist theory and practice knowledge of psychological therapy and an understanding of the psychological impact of social exclusion.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills of at least one core therapeutic model (e.g. CBT, psychodynamic).
For this role it is a requirement that you have Masters level training, or equivalent, in clinical or counselling psychology, accredited by the BPS. You will also need training in models of developmental lifespan psychology, psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology and two or more distinct psychological therapies. You will also be HCPC Registered, or a BACP / UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, or BABCP registered CBT Therapist.

You'll help to create brighter futures by:
- Delivering an annual individual income target, focussing on securing 4- 5 figure donations from major donors and family foundations.

- Develop and implement bespoke solicitation and stewardship plans for a portfolio of existing supporters and new prospects.

Let's talk about you
- Relevant experience of major donor fundraising with an excellent track record of initiating new relationships and securing four and ideally five figure gifts.

- The ability to manage a complex pool of prospect and donors, devising clear donor solicitation plans with the aim of securing long term financial philanthropic support.

Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE) is offering an exciting position as Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media) in a dynamic European non-profit patient advocacy organisation. This role will help deliver the MPE communications strategy, providing both strategic and operational support across the organisation, and ensuring that MPE is increasing our reach and impact to improve the lives and experiences of myeloma patients.
As Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media), you will work with the Head of Communications and other key staff across to the organisation to:
- Implement MPE communications strategy, monitor and improve MPE reach, and increase impact with key stakeholders
- Develop and disseminate strong and relevant messaging for key stakeholders
- Monitor and evaluate our performance and reach across digital and social communications channels
This will include working on the following core activities and tasks:
Digital communications (40%)
- Writing, editing and updating content for the MPE website (i.e. using WordPress, Elementor and other content management systems)
- Developing written and graphic content for MPE programme specific websites (such as MPE Navigator and Myeloma Access Atlas)
- Collaborating with relevant MPE staff on digital content development and publication
- Designing educational and promotional materials including leaflets, reports, patient materials, campaign materials and social media adverts/cards/images

- Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in communications role or equivalent

- Experience of stakeholder engagement and increasing reach of an organisation via communications channels
- Ability to explain and communicate complex topics to diverse and lay audiences
- Basic digital design skills
- Excellence in writing, proofreading and editing in English. The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker

This is an exciting opportunity to support and expand the integration of Youth Voice into our organisation and work with our passionate Youth Team to ensure that Winston’s Wish is driven by the voices and experiences of bereaved children and young people.
In the past 3 years we have recruited over 100 members to our Youth Team to help us in our mission to make sure that no child or young person grieves alone. Through their voices and experience we have made huge change to the way we support others. This role is key to making sure their voices are heard.
You will support the Head of Youth Participation & Engagement in the administration, facilitation and delivery of Youth Participation & Engagement throughout Winston’s Wish to champion youth voice and involvement in all that we do.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· To co-ordinate and provide safe spaces for Youth Ambassadors to take part in Youth-Led activities and projects.
· To be a key link between Youth Ambassadors and staff, making sure their voices and experiences are heard.
· To recruit and engage young people, and their families, to enable them to feel comfortable to join our Participation service.
· To support the Head of Youth Participation & Engagement to develop opportunities for children, young people and their families/carers to be actively involved throughout the organisation.
· Lead and facilitate small scale participation projects with the Youth Team.

Want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run community meals using surplus food.
You will manage local relationships with venues, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable this to happen. As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.
You will have experience of programme planning, delivery and development including community led/owned programmes. You will have experience of building relationships with a range of stakeholders and be passionate about food and cooking.
There will be frequent travel to our projects in Yorkshire and The Humber, with some evening and weekend work needed to cover our projects. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this rewarding role.

Barnardo's Adoption Midlands and South West
2 Social Worker vacancies (could consider full time or part time working) to cover work across our region which includes East & West Midlands, South West and Thames Valley. Work is allocated near to workers home address where possible but willingness to travel is a key feature of this position. Development of Service
This is a service that currently works in adoption and adoption support and covers the Midlands region (West and East Midlands) and the South West region (including the Thames Valley area).
Objectives of Service - Adoption
The primary aim of the Service is to provide the highest quality of adoption placement and adoption support services.
Our objectives include:-
To recruit, assess and approve a diverse range of adoptive families to meet the needs of waiting children.
To carefully match the needs of waiting children with the skills of the prospective adopters.
To ensure all Barnardo's adopters have access to training, guidance and support when they require it.
To work directly with adoptive families in need of therapeutic support and with the Services Therapeutic Team to help build and maintain family relationships.
A commitment to listen to our children, young people, adopters and stakeholders to enable us to progress on our journey of continuous learning and improvement.
Initial Specific Responsibilities
As a Social Worker in the team you will be involved in all aspects of the adoption process. You will work as part of a committed Team with a mixture of face to face and virtual work.
You will receive regular supervision by a manager in the Service and you will work closely with the other Social Workers, support workers, therapists, and administrators.
Social Workers are involved in the recruitment and taking initial enquiries on a duty system. Then undertaking Initial visits and AAR assessments, these comprehensive reports are then presented to Panel.
The Social Worker will work with the support worker in the Team with Family Finding, and liaise regularly with adopters who are looking for a match nationwide. The Social Worker will attend Exchange days, Profiling meeting, Activity Days and DVD meetings nationwide to discuss potential matches with Social Workers from other Regional Adoption Agencies (RAA), and support Barnardo's adopters at these events.
The Social Worker will prepare adopters for visits from RAA's regarding potential matches. If a match is identified the Social Worker will accompany the adopters to the meetings in the child's Local Authority to meet foster carers, medical advisor, schools and nurseries (this can happen anywhere in the country and may be face to face or virtual dependent on circumstances and the Local Authority involved). The Social Worker will prepare paperwork for Matching Panel and attend with adopters.
The Social Worker will support the adopters in introductions, and visit regularly until the Adoption Order is granted and beyond if required.
The Social Worker will assist in arranging therapeutic input and applications to the Adoption Support Fund.
The Social Worker will liaise with other professionals involved with the family and work closely with the placing RAA.
The Social Worker will be involved in supporting families with post adoption support and liaising with the therapists and arranging packages of support.
The Social Worker will attend support groups for the adopters and be involved with the preparation and ongoing training of adopters. This involves some weekend working.
Supplementary Information
This post requires a professional Social Work Qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW or CSS) and Registration with Social Work England or the ability to register (or proof that they are about to gain registration).
The post holder will need to be able to work flexible hours (occasionally weekends and often evenings) and be prepared to travel when required and on occasion stay away overnight on a planned basis. There is an opportunity to take Time Offered in Lieu.
The Social Worker will need to be able to travel to meet the requirements of the post and have access to a suitable vehicle for use in work.
Social Workers will also need to participate in the “Helpline” rota Out of Hours. There is additional remuneration for providing this service.

About the role
We The Curious is about to enter an exciting new phase in its mission to connect and empower everyone through shared creative science learning experiences. It is nearly a year since we reopened and as we enter our 25th Anniversary Year there is lots to celebrate and talk about with our new multi-year strategy, Plan 2030 which encompasses numerous major projects for which we must develop and cultivate support.
The Development Team is responsible for fundraising across the whole organisation and the stewardship and development of our donors and supporters. The other members of the team are the Development Manager, the Gifts and Partnerships Manager and Development Account Manager. We are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager who is collaborative, organised and an excellent communicator to join the team to help us maximise and unlock some very exciting fundraising opportunities.
As Trusts and Foundations Manager you will use your skills in research and persuasion to identify grants funding opportunities, establish new relationships and write and submit proposals to trusts, foundations, Lottery funders, the local authority, universities and research councils. Working closely with the rest of the team and project managers from other departments you will raise between six and seven figure sums for our programme of creative science learning and inclusion projects.
What will you do in this role?
Role specific responsibilities
_Identify new grants funding sources, including trusts and foundations, research councils and statutory/government funders.
_Prepare and submit high quality funding proposals, expressions of interest and budgets in accordance with strict deadlines and application criteria, to a diverse range of funders, for up to seven-figure sums.
_Work closely with internal departmental teams to develop We The Curious projects so that they are ready for fundraising and write detailed and compelling cases for support that include timelines, budgets and evaluation and reporting plans.
_Support the funding applications of other partner organisations by collaboratively drafting budgets, attending project development meetings and writing letters of support.
_Support the Development Account Manager to cultivate potential funders, including attending on-site visits and events, phone calls and delivering presentations to secure support.
_Support the Development Account Manager to manage a portfolio of funders including overseas relationships, fulfilling reporting and public recognition requirements, thank you letters, regular communications and other correspondence.
_Liaise with the finance team to record new income and report on expenditure in accordance with funder deadlines.
_Support the Gifts and Partnerships Manager and Development Manager in identifying new strategic opportunities and exploring new types of income stream. This may include presenting to the leadership team. Contribute to the delivery of the fundraising strategy, including proposing financial targets for grants, lottery and research income.

_Assist in the implementation of the Development Team’s migration onto a new CRM database working closely with the Development Account Manager to customise the database for the Development team’s needs.

_Manage Fundraising Volunteers supporting the administrative workload of the team and attend Volunteer Key Contacts meetings.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential skills and experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising, including a track record of securing high-value gifts of six figures.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering fundraising strategies, including corporate partnerships, major gifts, trusts, and foundations.
- Sound leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve targets. The Fundraising Director will manage a team of two within a wider organisation of 25 staff.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with donors, corporate sponsors, grant-making bodies, and stakeholders, including grassroots and volunteer-driven fundraising efforts.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and reporting on fundraising performance, with a focus on KPIs and success metrics.
- Ability to set and achieve clear fundraising growth targets, ensuring alignment between current income portfolios and projected expansion.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising proposals and cases for support.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations, data protection laws (GDPR), and ethical fundraising best practices.

About the role
We The Curious is about to enter an exciting new phase in its mission to connect and empower everyone through shared creative science learning experiences. It is now a year since we reopened and there is plenty to celebrate in our 25th Anniversary Year. We have exciting projects which range from community and educational outreach through to preparing for some major capital projects for which we must develop and cultivate support.
The Development Team is responsible for fundraising across the whole organisation and the stewardship and development of our donors and supporters. The other members of the team are the Development Team Manager, Development Manager, Trusts and Foundations Manager and the Development Team Account Manager. We are looking for a Fundraiser to join the team, to help us maximise and unlock some very exciting opportunities.
The Fundraiser will primarily focus on engaging businesses and Trusts & Foundations. You will use your skills in research to identify funding opportunities, build relationships and write and submit proposals.
You will need to be organised and enjoy working flexibly to support multiple projects. You will enjoy building relationships both internally and externally, networking and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
What will you do in this role?
Role specific responsibilities
Cultivating Support:
_Research new funding opportunities, including companies, trusts and foundations, and statutory/government funders.
_Prepare and adapt funding proposals which meet deadlines and specific application criteria.
_Work closely with internal departmental teams to ensure funding proposals accurately reflect their projects intended objectives.
_Cultivate potential funders, including managing on-site visits and events, phone calls and delivering presentations to secure support.
Stewardship and administration:
_Work with project teams and Account Manager to develop a plan for any new donor to ensure they are appropriately managed, recognised for their support and reporting and evaluation requirements from the outset.
_Support the migration of Development Team records into our new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, Tessitura, keeping information up to date and easy to find.
_Occasionally support the Development Team to organise and attend events during and outside normal working hours to support the cultivation and stewardship of donors and supporters.
Team Support:
_Develop and maintain your knowledge of planned activities at We The Curious, across all departments, to present our work persuasively to finders and partners.
_Contribute to the Development Team annual strategies and business planning.
General responsibilities

What we’re looking for from you
You do not need to have experience of being a fundraiser to do this role. Our experienced team are happy to develop an enthusiastic and proactive individual who can demonstrate they have transferable communication, written and research skills.

_We are looking for a professional, confident and enthusiastic communicator who enjoys talking on the phone, face to face and in meetings.
_Confident with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Power Point
_Strong written skills, both in preparing and adapting documents
_Good organisational skills so that you can multi-task between several projects at once.
_You need to be invested in learning more about charity fundraising, however you do not necessarily need to have worked for a charity or culture/heritage organisation before.
Desirable
_Some experience of working with income budgets, audited accounts and internal financial reports.
_Experience of working with CRM databases.
_A demonstrable interest and commitment to the work we do, within the Development Team but also more generally as a charity, to make science learning more inclusive.
