We're looking for a Community Fundraising Manager - it's a great opportunity to develop a plan and deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising activities to engage people with our work and contribute to our income.
You will manage a team to help develop innovative fundraising products, grow our supporter base and provide exceptional supporter stewardship.
Income generation
- Responsible for supporting the development of a 3-year community fundraising income strategy to grow income from a modest base of £125k per year to circa £275k per year.
- Implement the operational plan for community fundraising income.
- Plan, develop and deliver new community fundraising products, campaigns and events that will resonate with stakeholders including members, donors and volunteers to fundraise.
- Work collaboratively with Comms, Marketing & Digital teams to develop and drive forward promotion of community fundraising to reach existing and new audiences, including developing content for social channels, e-comms, webpages and fundraising packs.
- Establish a network of community fundraisers, building relationships with community fundraising ‘champions’, and providing excellent supporter care and timely communication.
- Evaluate community fundraising projects regularly and make changes when necessary.
Leadership, management and collaboration
- Lead the community fundraising programme in line with Marine Conservation Society values and organisational culture.
- Contribute to fundraising cross-team planning and strategy development.
- Line management of 2 part-time Community Fundraising support roles with responsibility for operational delivery of their fundraising plans and performance management including, 1-2-1 meetings, appraisals, day-day performance management against KPI’s, motivation and objective setting.
- Build collaborative relationships with peers across the charity.
Governance & reporting
- Manage the overall budget for community fundraising, including monitoring of income and expenditure against budget.
- Setting, measuring, and reporting against agreed KPIs
- Ensure the Community Fundraising team are accurately recording the receipt of donations and gifts received from supporters.
- Ensure accurate financial and CRM supporter records are maintained and accessible.
- Ensure all relationships comply with relevant charity law, GDPR requirements and the charity’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.
- Work with our Data Manager, Head of Marketing, and the Fundraising team to ensure the CRM database holds key, relevant profile information on supporters.

The Role
The Referrals Officer role is critical to the charity. It ensures that our referral process is managed effectively for our clients and branches.
This is both an internal and external role. The person in this role is the first point of contact for all referral queries. You will assign referrals to branches, liaise with clients and volunteers, and maintain our CRM system.
We are seeking a strong people person with at least two years of experience operating and maintaining a CRM system regularly (ideally Salesforce). Experience working to develop a CRM system and client journey would be advantageous.

We are a supportive team, and you will work closely with our Operations Manager and wider volunteer delivery colleagues to help REMAP support our clients and branches across the UK.

· To manage the delivery of Young Marketeers in Plymouth in four primary schools
Background to School Food Matters
School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.
Young Marketeers
This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 12 cities across England and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for three years. The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. And in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the mayor!
Key Tasks include:
· Assist with recruitment of four schools to take part in Young Marketeers
· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project
· Build and support relationships with contacts in partner organisations

Brain Tumour Research is seeking an experienced and motivated fundraiser to join our team as we prepare to open a new Centre of Excellence in Scotland in early 2025. Our new centre will host scientists from the universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow and the work of the Community Fundraiser for Scotland will largely be based within the Central Belt of Scotland.

As a key part of our fundraising efforts in a high-performing regional team at Brain Tumour Research, you will have the opportunity to drive income generation through a variety of initiatives, including challenge events, fundraising groups, and corporate partnerships such as charity of the year across the whole of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate income across a range of community fundraising initiatives and events
- Steward supporters to help drive the charity’s fundraising activities and growth
- Work with the fundraising team to develop and maintain strong relationships with fundraisers, donors, partners, and key stakeholders

The Role
The Senior Individual Giving Officer will act as a source of fundraising expertise in the Direct Marketing and wider development team, as well as the global Development and Marketing teams. Lead on devising a digital strategy that will maximise supporter engagement and acquisition, and thus grow individual giving income, with the input of the Direct Marketing Manager
Mercy Corps Europe's fundraising team is in a growth phase and there are many opportunities to innovate. Creative freedom is very much encouraged and the diversity of the organisation's programmes makes our fundraising work truly varied. There is huge potential in this role to deliver initiatives that will have a significant impact in growing our donor base, including testing new ways of engaging with audiences, integrating marketing across new channels, expanding use of online advertising, SEO and AdWords, harnessing data to create more effective campaigns, engaging thought-leaders and influencers online, and investigating new innovative ways of reaching key audiences.
The ideal candidate will have experience of the latest trends in fundraising and will have both the creative and technical skills to deliver key elements of the direct marketing strategy. They will have demonstrable knowledge of the UK fundraising market, with experience of working across multiple online channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Our stewardship programme is underpinned by our emails and so experience devising communications plans and writing for email is a must. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Supporter development
●Lead on integrating online and offline fundraising, offering supporters a cross-platform experience
●Lead on innovating our digital offering - taking ideas from conception through to testing and beyond
●Work with the Individual Giving Officer to innovate our fundraising offerings and find new ways of acquiring supporters
●Ensure that Mercy Corps grows the number of engaged supporters and income across channels to meet targets
●Responsible for day-to-day implementation of digital campaigns and activity (including email, PPC, social, programmatic and display), to deliver against set targets
●With support from the rest of the team, develop and edit digital fundraising content suitable for target audiences, such as prospective online donors or re-engaging lapsed donors, ensuring consistency with Mercy Corps branding and style guidelines
●Review and analyse results of fundraising activities and make changes to future work based on this
●Regularly obtain feedback from the audiences that we are contacting to ensure that we are optimising the way we communicate
●Identify new platforms and channels, and keep abreast of current fundraising trends and comparator organisations to ensure that Mercy Corps in Europe is relevant with supporters
●Work alongside Fundraising Operations to inform campaigns, and with the Media and Communications team to ensure that fundraising integrates appropriately with media and communications strategy and activities.

Qualifications and Transferable Skills
●At least five years of experience in a fundraising/marketing role, with proven experience in digital fundraising, including planning and delivering campaigns.

The Maypole Project supports children and young people with complex medical needs and their families across the UK. Our vision is that all families with a child with complex medical needs will have access to our support from diagnosis, for as long as they need.
Our unique model provides emotional and wellbeing support through counselling and therapy services for parents/carers, siblings and other adults involved in caring for a young person with complex medical needs.
The Maypole Project has been providing vital services to families for over 21 years and is in an exciting phase of development. We are expanding our management team to provide the capacity needed to grow and extend our provision to meet the needs of more families who would benefit from our unique model of support.
Role Purpose
As a member of the senior leadership team, the role will have strategic and operational oversight of all clinical and therapeutic services and activities, ensuring the Maypole Model of support is delivered effectively, to high-quality standards and is appropriately resourced. Working to the Maypole vision to provide access to support for everyone who needs it across the UK, through appropriate outreach, the role will work closely with colleagues and external partners to support the development and expansion of our service offer to meet the needs of families and grow our income.
Key Responsibilities
Service Management
- Line Management of the Senior Counsellor, Senior Child Therapist, Activities Manager and Clinical Supervisors.
- Overall management of the Therapies team, fostering positive communications through regular team meetings/socials, and building a collaborative and collegiate working culture across the organisation.
- Ensure all staff receive appropriate training and have access to further professional development opportunities.
- Holding a counselling caseload of 3-4 clients, in line with postholders professional qualifications and experience.
- Oversight of all enquiries and referrals from initial contact, through assessment and end of support, with assistance from the team administrator.
- Facilitate the provision of a Clinical Supervision for the therapies team.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the organisation ensuring safeguarding cover is always available via nominated deputies in your absence.
- Contributing to case conferences as required and convening internal “Maypole Team around the family” meetings to discuss our work and ensure seamless working both within Maypole’s provision and with external providers as necessary.
- Contract management: act as the main point of contact for our contractors with which we have service level agreements for the provision of therapy services.
- Data: Manage the client database and associated systems for recording of clients in relation to appointments, payments and impact reporting.
- Ensure premises are fit for purpose for therapy services and activities programmes, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, accessibility and confidentiality policies, in liaison with Head of Developments, CEO and other responsible personnel.
- Business/Service Development
- Contribute to strategic and operational plans for business and service development including delivering the aims of our strategic plan for growth in the following areas:
- service uptake and expansion across a wider geographic area
- developing service provision, quality and resourcing
- development of training and other consultancy services to external professionals
- Monitoring and Evaluation: ensuring standardised ways of recording data and disseminating the impact of our services in communications to a range of stakeholders including for contracts/grants as well as for key supporters and internally the Board and staff team.
- Support the CEO and Head of Development in developing external relationships and partnerships, instigating discussions regarding potential new contracts and partnerships and opportunities for collaborative working.
- Act as an Ambassador for The Maypole Project, advocating and promoting our work throughout relevant networks. Working with the Head of Development, seek opportunities to give talks and presentations to a range of audiences with the aim of building relationships with external contacts and potential partners.
- Reporting: provide written reports as required for the CEO, Board of Trustees, funders and contract clients.
Finance
- Contribute to setting the annual budget for therapies and activities.
- Monitor monthly income and expenditure accounts for therapy services, highlighting any discrepancies or potential for significant over or underspends.
General responsibilities
- Attend regular supervision, line management and whole team meetings.
- Adhere to the codes of ethics and practice adopted by The Maypole Project, in line with our service model and with other relevant Counselling Professional bodies.
- Comply with legal and statutory requirements including the Data Protection Act, Health and Safety at Work Act (always ensuring H&S of self and others).
- Comply with all organisational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Undertake the required CPD as identified in annual appraisals and line management processes.
