Acer Trust, an Oxfordshire multi-academy trust, is seeking a Finance Director to lead our fantastic finance team through the next stage of our Trust’s development. In the past year we have added two new schools into the Trust and restructured our finance and business operations to better support our schools. We are now looking for a strategic finance professional to embed our new structure and processes and help us to develop and implement a new financial strategy to support our next phase of development. This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions. This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.
About The Role:

Our mission is helping to build more sustainable black and racially minoritized communities across the UK. About The Role As the Time to Shine (T2S) leader you will make a direct contribution to two key areas of work: our intergenerational leadership programmes and our approaches to capturing and recording our social impact measurements. In order to meet the criteria for the T2S programme we are seeking candidates who are unemployed or underemployed. This role is designed to be an entry level role and therefore we recognise that candidates may have limited work experience but can have a wealth of experience from other activities and we would love to hear about how those skills can transfer to this role. The T2S leader will be introduced to and have the opportunity to practice using innovative approaches to leadership development, processes and models which support Black women’s and young women’s growth and confidence building as community leaders. About this key role
Our successful candidate will provide proactive and inspiring management to a team of SOS caseworkers, where you will plan and support the team’s daily workload, monitor and review probation periods, conduct annual performance reviews and ongoing one-to-one throughout the year and review ongoing personal development plans and agree appropriate training. You will be expected to provide advice and support to team members and attached volunteers in the form of team meetings, regular supervision meetings and daily contact, plus attend community events and meet with commissioners of service to promote the service and build relationships.
We will count on you to provide monthly and quarterly reports to contract managers and funders and to accurately and regularly collect information and evidence to support with the monitoring and the evaluation of the services, while also ensuring that all referred clients are assessed with reference to St Giles Trust practices and that staff produce detailed support and risk management plans based on these assessments.
What we are looking for
- To have worked on an offender-led support project, had personal experience of the criminal justice system, served a prison sentence, or still be serving a prison sentence in a prison within reach of London

Within this role as the West Mercia Youth Justice Team Caseworker, you will establish positive and professional relationships with the children, young people, parents/carers and professionals accessing the service, building trust and create a safe space in which the children and young people can explore challenging and potentially traumatic issues and topics.
We will count on you to plan and deliver tailored group and one-to-one mentoring sessions that tackle mentees’ perceptions of gang involvement, violence and exploitation, encouraging them to develop a positive self-identity, healthy relationships, to feel safe and to raise their aspirations. You will also maintain accurate records of one-to-one mentoring work, session work and data collection, assist with providing monitoring information and the evaluation of the project, plus contribute to multi-agency meetings, utilising expertise around lived experience and local knowledge.
What we are looking for
- Personal experience of the criminal justice system or lived experience of the issues facing this client group (i.e. involved in gangs or knife crime)
- Experience of delivering sessions to groups of young people
- Proven record of working in a high intensity environment, being self-motivating, with an ability to effectively manage your own wellbeing
- To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be willing to work towards one
- The ability to confidently speak in front of large groups delivering key messages

Lancashire Mind is a local charity working to prevent poor mental health. We support people experiencing common mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression.
