The Project Manager role in the Strategy and Planning Team will help us to continue to improve the delivery of our projects and programmes, and so to achieve our desired outcomes for children and families. You will enable and support the delivery of our strategy business plan. You will help to manage and carry out plans and projects, conduct ongoing monitoring, have the ability to adapt to changes along the way, and will collaborate with colleagues. You will have the rare skill of being able see the big picture - to help teams and projects to best contribute to our strategy and mission – with being comfortable working with data and detail – to ensure project management documentation and deliverables are accurate and logical.
You will report to and work closely with the Strategy and Business Planning Lead, to support delivery of BookTrust’s strategy through business planning, project management, measurement of progress and impact, and governance matters. The Project Manager, Strategy and Planning team, will work with all the teams across BookTrust, and with staff at all levels of seniority.

THE ROLE
Royal Trinity Hospice, the UK’s oldest hospice, serves 750,000 people in central and southwest London, delivering specialist end-of-life and palliative care, including support for families. Success relies on the Compton fundraising team achieving ambitious funding targets. The In Memory and Legacy Manager is a vital role, leading on two of the largest income lines for our client.
The role will focus on further development of our In Memory campaigns and events, legacy marketing and promotion as well and working with a specialist colleague to manage legacy administration.
The legacy promotion aspects of the role will include plans to maximise results from a national TV and media campaign in 2025 in collaboration with HospiceUK.
This role is centred around delivering excellent donor care and stewardship to those closest to Trinity, innovative and creative thinking and strong relationship management skills.
The successful candidate will line manage two team members, an In Memory and Legacy Executive and a Legacy Administrator.
As an In Memory and Legacy Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop Trinity’s in memory giving products and events, including the annual Light up a Life concert and Summer Solstice remembrance evening.
- Lead and develop legacy marketing strategies and products, and develop new legacy giving promotion events.
- Manage legacy administration, including maintaining and monitoring the legacy income pipeline, and assisting with practical legacy administration tasks.
- Develop and review regularly income and expenditure budgets and income forecasting.
- Deliver excellent stewardship for newly bereaved supporters and longstanding in memory and legacy supporters.
- Maintain excellent internal relationships with Fundraising colleagues, and the Communications team, as well as the Hospice clinical teams.
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to build promotional strategies.
- Ensure supporter records on the charity database (Raiser’s Edge NXT) are kept up to date.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

We are looking for experienced practitioners who are qualified to level 3 in childcare or a related field and have a passion for working with families to help them achieve their best outcomes.
Job Purpose: To provide focused 1-1 and group family support for families with children and young people aged 0-19 years old (up to 25 years for young adults with additional needs). Job Purpose: – Support the Senior Leadership Team with the implementation of YMCA East Surrey (YMCA ES) corporate strategy and, providing operational leadership to the HR team to ensure a professional and proactive HR service that fully supports the operational priorities of YMCA ES.

Main Responsibilities:
– Provide professional and operational HR leadership to the HR team, ensuring that the HR team has clear objectives and associated work plans, perform to the highest standards and continues to be seen as a proactive, customer focussed and trusted partner to colleagues across YMCA ES at all levels.
– Provide leadership and direction to the team to ensure appropriate, effectively risk managed and legally compliant management of Employee Relations issues on behalf of YMCA ES.

Pay and conditions
- The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) but will consider a minimum of 30 hours.

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Write compelling funding pitches for projects or fundraising campaigns.

Will provide emotional support and signposting options to bereaved people in their initial contact with Cruse Bereavement Support, (in call / Email / Casework).
