You’ll be part of a remote England and Wales wide Family Practitioner team, who work closely together to draw on each other’s skills and experience to ensure families receive the best service from RSBC. The team link together to run online groups that further support the work and join together for two-day team training at our London office at least twice a year, involving paid for overnight stays.

The main purpose of this role is to:

· To establish and maintain a case load of families with blind and partially sighted children and young people aged 0 to 25 who identify themselves as needing support.

· To undertake family assessments to identify specific areas of need; to identify and deliver appropriate interventions that will promote children’s development and emotional wellbeing in collaboration with family members and make and support onward referrals as required.

· To ensure that service delivery meets the high standard that RSBC sets, with pre agreed performance indicators.

The ideal candidate will ideally have a qualification that demonstrates the ability to establish a trusting and open relationship with families and CYP. You’ll be experienced in providing emotional wellbeing support with families directly and have knowledge of child development from experience or qualification. You’ll know about family systems/systemic practice – from experience or qualification as well as knowledge and practical experience of using family centred interventions in collaboration with families. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong teamwork ethic to fit in with our friendly and knowledgeable team of Family Practitioners across England and Wales.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.

Duties include:

• Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
• Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
• Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
• Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
• Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance

About the role:

When someone sustains a spinal cord injury, it is a life changing experience.

Back Up’s Regional Outreach and Engagement team are the very face of the organisation and are based across the UK, working directly with spinal cord injury centres, major trauma centres and hospitals – or indeed anywhere that people affected by spinal cord injury may be.

As a Regional Coordinator, you will build relationships and take ownership for what happens in your geographical area. Whether it be providing peer support to newly injured people in a clinical setting, facilitating wheelchair skills sessions, making referrals for ongoing support or supporting volunteers and fundraisers – you will be passionate about being able to demonstrate the impact of what we do, and will see for yourself how Back Up quite literally transforms lives.

Our new Director of Finance will play a lead role in developing and implementing financial management and reporting strategies to help meet our financial objectives. 

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your key responsibilities will include;

• Developing strategy, challenging assumptions, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers
• Setting, monitoring, and overall delivery of the Finance Department operational plan and targets
• Leading the annual budget-setting process, providing a comprehensive business partnering service to budget holders across the organisation
• Proactively managing cash, banking activities, investments, and funding needs, ensuring that the organisation’s cash flow is accurately forecasted and properly managed
• Leading and managing the production of statutory accounts and reports for all Group companies and other returns
• Supporting and developing high-performing teams and processes

We are looking for an inspirational leader who will drive improvements to create a ‘best in class’ finance function.  You will be able to demonstrate relevant experience of financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting, reporting and compliance, gained within similarly complex organisations. 

You will have exceptional communication skills which will allow you to support and influence the senior leadership team on all financial matters.  You will also have a keen interest in digital technology, being instrumental in the delivery of the digital transformation.

About the role:

We are pleased to offer you an exciting opportunity to join our advice team at Citizens Advice Richmond as a Manage Your Money Lead.

In this role you will be working alongside volunteer advisers, providing holistic advice and support to households in financial crisis and provide advice around income maximisation, managing fuel costs including leading on our Energy Advice Project, benefit take-up, applying for grants to help with costs arising from the cost-of-living crisis, reducing indebtedness and budgeting and money management to help to prevent future financial crisis.

The purpose of this role is to reduce the stigma for low-income households around needing and accessing financial support and give people confidence to seek cheaper alternatives to contract costs around, for example, telephone, tv and broadband.

The project includes support on preparing personal income and expenditure details which can be used by residents themselves when negotiating with debtors on repayment plans.

This work will have a focus on community-based outreach work, working alongside organisations such as foodbanks and community centres. It will aim to prevent future or recurring hardship.

This role is funded by City Bridge Foundation.
