The Role

As a Deputy Head of Service for Performance and Quality, you will:

• Proactively analyse data from diverse sources, transforming it into powerful and useful insights for the service

• Produce management information, impact analysis, service modelling and customer-focused performance tools

• Monitor service performance and identify risks to support and enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement

• Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary network of experts within the London Management Team

• Work in partnership with key stakeholders across London’s criminal justice system such as the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), London’s Police forces and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ)

Regular tasks will include:

• Producing monthly and quarterly reports for funders to evidence KPIs; identify trends, risks and service improvements

• Developing and iterating analytical pipelines to deliver high quality insight on service performance

• Meeting with front-line teams to explore service delivery and performance data

• Delivering insights and actions to stakeholders regarding service effectiveness

• Identifying areas of the service where data science and emerging technologies can be applied to improve efficiency, such as AI

• Collaborating with data professionals across the national data function and within MOPAC’s Data and Insight function

About You

You will need:

• Experience using either Python or R to bring data together from diverse sources and prepare for analysis using cleaning and preparation techniques

• Extensive practical experience of using innovative platforms for data visualization including R Shiny, Power BI and/or Tableau

• A degree or equivalent professional experience in subjects such as Statistics, Data/ Computer Science, Economics, Public Policy, or the Sciences would be desirable

We seek a highly-skilled social care professional to join the senior team of our leading local charity, who will provide high-quality support to family carers of adults with a learning disability and/or autism in the London Borough of Merton.

Could this be you?

You will conduct Carers Assessments in which you identify the needs of carers to determine the support they require, which may include financial support, respite care for the person they care for, and practical assistance.  You will form Support Plans with carers which show the ways in which support will be provided to improve their health and wellbeing, and help them in their caring role, and you will assist carers to access appropriate support.  Your periodic reviews with carers will monitor the effectiveness of Support Plans to ensure carers continue to receive the help they need. 

You will work closely with colleagues, the charity’s partners and other organisations to coordinate care and support for carers, facilitating introductions with other care providers and ensuring carers receive information to help them in their caring role.  Key to your work is ensuring services ‘join-up’ so that coordinated, highly professional support is provided to carers.

You will maintain a record of your work by using our databases which you will use to produce quarterly reports and case studies demonstrating the impact of your work.

This role is an important feature of the charity’s strategic offer for family carers.  You will join our senior team dedicated to providing the highest quality care, and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the wider work of the charity such as by attending our frequent events, workshops and social events for carers.

This role is a hybrid position - duties can be undertaken from home, from our offices in Morden, and by conducting home-visits with carers by appointment.

The postholder will work closely with our Senior Leadership Team and the Board, including a Trustee who has several decades experience as a HR manager and consultant. The postholder will provide support and guidance on HR matters to all staff and managers, helping to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This job is for you, if you:

We are looking for a Conference and Major Events Manager to lead on the delivery of our successful annual conference and other major events.

HOMES FOR WELLS is looking for a dynamic new Chief Executive to lead our organisation into the next phase. As a small local Housing Association in the beautiful town of Wells-next-the-Sea we house local key workers in affordable rented accommodation.

We are a Charitable Community Benefit Society, a RSL and a CLT. We have a board of volunteers and two part time staff – a Chief Executive and an Administrator.

We are seeking a new Chief Executive to be responsible for the day to day running of the organisation which currently manages around 30 properties.

The successful applicant will have housing and management experience, good IT skills and a positive outlook.

This is a 3 day a week position, but we can be flexible, and we expect you to be too.  Some evenings will be required.

Purpose of the post 

The Warehouse Supervisor plays an essential role in the smooth running of the Vale Lane warehouse, supporting all aspects of the food operation. 

You will work as part of a team to effectively support the warehouse operation, incoming goods, storage and dispatch of goods to Community Food Members (CFMs) to high levels of compliance and service. This role will include working with a large and diverse team of volunteers throughout the week.  

The role will be primarily based at our South Bristol warehouse, where alongside our usual food redistribution operation and volunteering programme, we run our youth employability programme FareChance for 18 to 25-year-olds to develop logistics and workplace experience.

Duties and responsibilities: 

Warehouse  

• Ensure the smooth running of food intake, storage, and food distribution, liaising with food industry representatives, FSUK, distribution companies and hauliers. 

• Support the South Bristol Hub Manager in coordinating and maintaining the fleet of vans and machinery. 

• Provide ongoing support to the South Bristol Hub Manager to ensure high levels of compliance in the warehouse throughout the year and for internal/external audits. 

• As part of the warehouse team, reduce waste and maximise the distribution of surplus food to members. 

• Report to the South Bristol Hub Manager with operational improvements to increase efficiency and implement agreed changes. 

Volunteers and FareChance  

• Oversee (under the direction of the South Bristol Hub Manager) FareChance participants, regular volunteers and corporate volunteers on warehouse shifts, delegating/assigning tasks, and supervising work to ensure all tasks completed effectively. 

• Support and train all FareChance participants and volunteers with their allocated warehouse/job-specific tasks/roles

• Supporting the FareChance participants’ and volunteer’s health, safety, and welfare during their shift. 

• Undertake continual professional development e.g. training in mental health, active listening, coaching, safeguarding, inclusive practice etc

Goods In and Storage 

• Follow FSSW goods-in procedures including liaising with suppliers, completing relevant paperwork, using inhouse software and fork-lifting duties. 

• Ensure pickable and non-pickable areas are ready to receive good in and dispatch orders at all times. 

• Manage storage of stock within the warehouse, including: 

• Assisting with stock checks 

• Ensuring effective stock rotation and sharing best practice  

• Oversee the dispatch of goods through deliveries and collections ensuring all FSSW procedures are followed. 

• Liaise with the wider FSSW team and FSUK to report quality, quantities, and other issues.  

Compliance and Health & Safety 

• Operate according to the FSUK HACCP Food Safety Manual and FSSW compliance standards and processes.  

• Support the South Bristol Hub Manager to ensure compliance with relevant food hygiene, health & safety, and other standards applicable to FSSW premises, vehicles, refrigeration equipment, staff, and volunteers.
