Summary of the role:

The Supporter Relations Engagement Team is involved in the planning and development of programmes and projects that puts supporter engagement at the heart of everything do we do. They play a pivotal role in making Muslim Aid more data and insight driven in the way we fundraise and communicate with supporters. The team’s aim is to increase the depth and value of supporter relationships whilst also encouraging repeat giving and overall supporter retention through targeted engagement strategies.

Working within the Supporter Relations Engagement Team, you will develop a supporter centric approach to planning effective multi-channel, multi-product supporter journeys to grow loyalty, engagement, and income.  We are looking for someone with an audience and data insight driven approach to identify moments that matter and key touch points to improve the supporter experience. By doing this, you will ensure that each touchpoint across the supporter experience is engaging, effective and reflects Muslim Aids brand and values.

As a confident communicator you will help develop a culture based on understanding and interpreting supporter behaviours and motivations. Using this information, you will lead on mapping journeys and engagements across communications, campaigns and the fundraising portfolio to maximise a supporter’s lifetime value.

About the Role:

1. Create new innovative supporter journeys to increase engagement, loyalty and improve income generation.
2. Deliver improved supporter journeys and care strategies using insights, evidence and feedback.
3. Deliver exemplary Supporter care and stewardship that builds loyal and committed supporters through high quality personalised engagement. 
4. Collaborate with the Data Analysis team to manage supporter preferences ensuring best practice regarding data protection, data collection and to maximise cross sell opportunity.
5. Incorporate supporter care best practice and emerging approaches into activities so that the organisation remains positioned to effectively engage/manage donors.
6. Provide general administrative assistance in support of the smooth running of the Supporter Relations Department.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Significant supporter/customer care skills obtained from the commercial or charity sectors.
2. Proven engagement developing internal relationships across a complex organisation – working with internal clients to develop and adapt briefs to improve supporter engagement.
3. Experience of working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

JOB PURPOSE 

This exciting role focuses on raising income for the Start Network and its global initiatives, including the Start Fund, Start Ready, innovation and the expansion of a locally led network. The postholder will be an experienced trusts and / or corporate fundraiser who wants a role focused on business and relationship development. They will be responsible for an exciting portfolio of existing and prospective funders (that give 6-7 figure grants), adopting a relational approach to fundraising. 

You will be responsible for carrying out prospect donor mapping, growing a fundraising pipeline, building relationships with prominent foundations and corporates in the humanitarian space, writing technical proposals as required, pitching to donors well-articulated concepts, and building fundraising capacity within the organisation. 

It is critical that the postholder is comfortable with developing new relations. We have grown a significant number of new donors within our Foundations and Corporates over the last few years, and we hope to continue the growth of the team in this exciting role, so proof of having grown an income stream is key.

This new role at Factory International is central to embedding the organisation into our new home - Aviva Studios. Over the past three years Factory International has grown into a large complex organisation, now responsible for a major new cultural venue delivering a ground-breaking year-round programme. We are seeking an exceptional operational leader, with a commitment to rigour and excellence, with passion and determination, to help us build the success of this exceptional destination in the heart of Manchester. The Operations Director is the key point of contact for all teams and departments in assessing the practicalities, operational logistics and risk implications of events and activities taking place within Aviva Studios and in the public realm.

The Operations Director will lead on management of operational risk across the organisation including H&S, Emergency Planning, Disaster Recovery and Fire Safety. They are the driving strategic force behind the Visitor Welcome shaping the Visitor Experience Strategy, overseeing the Visitor Welcome Team and contract management of our external security partner.

The Operations Director will ensure that efficient operational systems and controls are in place to manage Factory International @ Aviva Studios’ Day to day activities, ensuring also that the company’s operation and it’s building is safe, compliant and can help deliver the objectives of the business and the welcome we extend to all our visitors.

Through management of the Facilities Team, they will be accountable for planned preventative maintenance programme, reactive maintenance and act as senior contract liaison with the third-party Facilities Management partner (CBRE).

The Operations Director will work closely with creative, design and event teams to oversee the uniquely dynamic social spaces at Aviva Studios, reflecting the changing seasons and needs of different events and productions, while considering the commercial requirements of the site and working proactively with the Commercial Teams to drive revenue across the venue.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Venue Operations
Accountable for all aspects of Aviva Studio operations – inputting into strategic planning and programming schedule, guiding the organisation on legislative and regulatory compliance, and ensuring standard operating procedures and manuals are regularly updated and relevant licences and consents are in place.

Oversight of the reactive and preventative maintenance strategies and ensure that the venue is presented to the highest standard for the public, artists and those working there.

Event & Programme Delivery
Bring high level expertise and insight to the scoping and planning of the varied events that make up Factory International’s programme. Lead on compliance, risk mitigation, safety and operational best practice to support delivery of the in-venue and Festival programmes.

Support delivery of commercial initiatives through close engagement and operational planning with the Commercial Teams and the Food & Beverage partner.

Visitor Experience
Drive the design and ongoing development of the Visitor Experience Strategy.  Leading the Welcome teams to deliver a generous, warm and inclusive welcome.

Accountable for the presentation and ‘look and feel’ of our venue and public realm at Aviva Studios, collaborating with colleagues to strengthen the commercial performance and overall destination appeal of the venue and site.

Maintain the safety and security of visitors, through the management of risk, overview of security strategy and through close work with the Head of Welcome on staff and volunteer training programmes.

Emergency Planning
Accountable for the ongoing development of major incident, business continuity and emergency plans, including disaster recovery, Fire Safety and counter terrorism.  Ensuring end to end processes are compliant, fully trained in and communicated to all staff.

Work closely with the Director of Audiences to refine the Crisis Communications plans ensuring consistency and alignment across a range of incident scenarios.

Security
Accountable for the delivery of the security strategy and to actively manage the outsourced security contract. Lead on procurement for renewal or additional third-party security services.

Health & Safety
Responsible for building out the Health & Safety policy and organisational delivery plan including accident reporting and investigation processes and first aid provision.

As Chair of the H&S Steering Group, ensure that all plans and policy are communicated and trained to all staff and stakeholders. Maintain compliance through regular reviews.

Keep up to date with any changes in Health & Safety legislation and provide reports to the Executive Director in order that the Board and CEO can exercise their full oversight responsibilities.

Insurance, Risk & Contract Procurement
Identify risk and manage mitigation for Aviva Studio operations including managing the organisation’s insurance broker relationship and ensuring adequate up to date cover.

Lead renewal negotiations or retendering process for key service partners e.g. cleaning, security and facilities management contracts, ensuring favourable commercial terms and alignment with Factory International values.

Support the Executive Director and CFO in refining the Company Risk register, contributing to quarterly updates shared with the Executive Leadership and Board of Trustees.

Stakeholder Relations
Strengthen key external stakeholder relationships ensuring FI is positively represented at all relevant meetings, including: Manchester City Council, blue light agencies, St John’s Estate and local business and resident forums.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL - Experience & Skills

- Comprehensive experience in managing venue or site-based operations with proven ability to work at a senior level within a complex organisation, to lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team within a fast-paced operational setting

- Ability to drive forward our unique visitor experience, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment and delivering consistent quality and accessibility for all

- Experience in developing and implementing emergency planning, major incident and business continuity strategies informed by practical experience of security strategies, crowd management, counter terrorism preparedness and fire safety

- Knowledge of licencing compliance and Health & Safety legislation, including NEBOSH or equivalent qualification/practical experience level

The Education and Partnerships Officer role is an exciting opportunity to support PEAS in crucial areas during a period of growth. The role will involve working closely with education teams in Uganda and Zambia to drive education quality.​

​This will include designing professional development frameworks and resources for teachers, school leaders, and support officers, ensuring alignment with evidence-based teaching practices. Job Profile

The L&G Assistant provides high-quality administrative support to the Leadership & Governance roles across CAFOD, including the Executive Director and other Directors. The post reports to the Leadership & Governance Officer but works closely with the Executive Director. • Under the guidance of the L&G Officer, this postholder ensures that Executive meetings are well coordinated, with all papers provided and minutes taken
• This involves supporting the L&G Officer in scheduling meetings, drafting agendas in line with governance and reporting cycles, and ensuring minutes and follow-up actions are monitored.
• Cover minuting for other corporate meetings when capacity in other teams requires support.
• To ensure internal and external working relationships, speaking events and meetings involving the Executive Director are well planned and coordinated.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Right To Play UK is seeking a driven and creative Communications and Engagement Officer to help achieve our ambitious plans to build Right To Play’s profile and supporter base, during an exciting period of growth for the organisation. The role will focus on delivering compelling communications and campaigns to our key audiences, building brand awareness, engaging supporters and boosting fundraising to help transform the lives of millions of children across our global programmes.

This is an exciting time to join Right To Play, as we celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2025 and continue our plans for growth in the UK, following our most successful year for fundraising in 2024. You will play a key part in helping to achieve our plans, with numerous training and development opportunities and the scope to drive forward creative communications and campaigns.

The Communications and Engagement Officer will need to work additional hours as required at events and business meetings (with TOIL provided).

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

#1: Communications (50% of Time):

• Support the delivery of RTP UK’s communications strategy, working closely with the Head of Communications and Engagement and Digital Lead.
• Plan and deliver a programme of communications and campaigns to reach our key external audiences, designed to raise funds and brand awareness, engage new audiences and build support.
• Working with the Head of Communications, Digital Lead and colleagues in the Global Communications Team, oversee the production of compelling content and updates for RTP UK digital channels (social media, website and email marketing), leading on the day-to-day management of these channels.
• Produce articles, news updates, blog posts, media releases, case studies, briefings, statements and other communications materials, as required.
• Support the development of RTP UK’s Ambassador programme, including building new relationships with high-profile individuals, including celebrities and influencers, and strengthening support among existing Ambassadors through stewardship and engagement.
• Advise and support colleagues across RTP UK teams on fundraising communications connected to our partnerships, events, relevant donor engagement activity and other initiatives.
• Alongside the Head of Communications and Engagement, represent the UK office on the Right To Play global comms group and digital marketing group, as well as other external events where required.

#2: Fundraising and Engagement (35% of Time):

• Oversee community fundraising activity, including challenge events and runs (such as the London Marathon), identifying opportunities to engage new supporters and grow income, and supporting participants in their fundraising journeys.
• Develop and deliver activity aimed at building awareness and support among UK schools and universities, creating engagement opportunities and campaigns to drive fundraising, including producing impactful marketing materials and resources.
• Work alongside the Head of Communications and the UK team to develop Right To Play UK supporter engagement, expanding our network and retaining existing supporter relationships.
• Support the team on the coordination, stewardship and delivery of Right To Play UK’s fundraising events (including the annual Sports Quiz).
• Support the delivery of fundraising campaigns, including relevant communications activities, working with the Right To Play UK team.
• Collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and Head of Partnerships on cross-functional initiatives to amplify fundraising impact.
• Work with colleagues in the UK team to refine and improve our digital supporter journey and fundraising processes.

#3: Policy and Influencing (10% of Time):

• Contribute to the delivery of RTP UK’s policy and influencing strategy, supporting on research, briefings, statements and events to engage key stakeholders among international organisations, political groups and other influential bodies.

#4: Other Tasks as Assigned (5% of Time)

• Manage occasional interns, volunteers and students on work experience placements to support the work of the communications team.
• Liaise with external suppliers, such as freelancers and consultants, photographers/videographers, printers and design agencies.
