We’re looking for an Enterprise Manager to join our London & South East regional team. You will cover waterways from the busy Regents Canal, Lee Navigation, parts of the Grand Union Canal and Oxford Canal. Our miles of canal provide active travel corridors, opportunities for our communities to improve their wellbeing and blue-green wildlife habitats.
As Enterprise Manager, you will secure external funding through partnerships and bid writing, and support delivery of projects which ‘transform places and enrich lives’. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop potential projects in line with our strategic priorities and be responsible for securing funding to make them happen. You will support our Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle from inception to closure in line with the Trust’s financial reporting process, acting as first point of contact for external funders throughout. You will also act as point of contact and support project development for third parties carrying out active travel and public realm improvements on our land.
At any given time, you will hold a portfolio of varied projects, from towpath and access improvements, as well as habitat improvements, community engagement and heritage conservation.
Location
The role will be based working from home, with the allocation of a nearby Hub for collaborative working in Little Venice. Travel required within the region for site visits, media calls, social media moments, events and meetings.
It is therefore essential that you are able to effectively work from home, whilst also having the flexibility to be mobile when necessary.

Key responsibilities:
- To support activity and work in the region by securing funding for a range of strategic priorities.
- To represent and promote the work of the Trust to key external stakeholders, Government departments, regional agencies, lottery distributors, key statutory funders, trusts and foundations, charitable trusts and other regional and sub-regional partnerships.
- To develop and manage relationships with statutory, charitable, and key partners.
- Lead or contribute to partnerships that generate resources that further to the region’s delivery of waterway maintenance and health and wellbeing outcomes.
- Manage the financial aspects of projects and the funding risks of externally funded projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.

- To keep abreast of the funding environment to enable rapid reaction to emerging opportunities.

About you:
This role is based with our London & Southeast team, and we are looking for someone with particular experience and developed networks across this region.Our successful Enterprise Manager may previously have worked in roles such as Partnerships Manager, Development Manager, Fundraising Manager, Partnerships & Fundraising Manager, and will ideally have good knowledge and confidence in identifying and successfully bidding for project funding via government departments, regional agencies, statutory funders, and charitable trusts. Prior experience of statutory funded active travel schemes is desirable.
Technical:
- A proven track record of developing and writing successful funding bids.
- Knowledge of funding environments, including lottery distributors, key statutory funders, trusts and foundations, charitable trusts.
- Experience of strategic relationship, partnership development and management.
- Innovation and creativity, to develop projects from concept to delivery and to match trust priorities with funding.

The Purpose of the Role
The Grants Manager ensures the quality of and efficient processes for proposal development and grants management; and manages the delivery of the IRC UK’s business development ambitions under the Strategic Action Plan.
Key Working Relationships:
Position reports to Director RAI UK. Position works closely with the Regional Grants Advisor, Program Development Advisor, Head of Programmes and RAI UK project leads.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Development:
- Identify, investigate, track, and support positioning for funding opportunities for IRC UK in in collaboration with regional business development and RAI UK management
- Develop, lead, and track proposal development processes, directly coordinating and managing the development of proposals and concept notes in collaboration with multiple stakeholders;
- Ensure proposals are timely tracked with standard IRC tracking tools
- Assist in compiling and editing proposal budgets and ensure communication and coordination between all departments (finance, programs, and operations) in drafting of budgets
- Provide weekly update to RAI UK on business development, including go/no-go, proposals submitted, wins / losses, etc;
- Drive IRC best practice in business development, including MEL, PEERS, financial planning, the IRC Way, etc;
- Allocate business development tasks and responsibilities to proposal and opportunity team;
- Maintenance of BD records: Pipeline , Partner tracker, BD Notebook (partner meetings, Go-No/Go, positioning, etc.,)
Grants & Contract Management
- Ensure that grants and contracts are implemented in compliance with IRC and relevant donor regulations, as well as maintenance of updated grant files and grant management tools;
- Support Project Managers with quarterly project implementation meetings, following up on any action points related to donor communication and flagging any concerns to RAI leadership in a timely manner;
- Assist project managers, operations staff, and partners with understanding the reporting and other compliance requirements on their grants/sub-grants;
- Manage all reporting deadlines, develop calendars for report development and coordinate report compilation and review;
- Support the MEL team to develop strong Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning practices throughout the portfolio;
- Coordinate modifications to any agreements or projects (i.e. extensions, indicator changes, budget realignments), as necessary;
- Act as focal point for communications with Regional Program Support Team (RPST) around grants administration and compliance functions;
- Act as Compliance officer for UK grants such as the Refugee Employability Project (REP), ensuring adherence to contract requirements such as social value and KPIs, standard contract T&Cs;
- Coordinate with donors on grants management, project progress, monitoring and evaluation.
Partnership Management
- Support in stakeholder analysis and potential partner identification on business development, live projects and for future opportunities;
- Oversee the process of negotiating pre-award agreements with potential partners;
- Work with Programme Managers to keep Partner Tracker up to date;
- Review and advise on all partner agreements (including log frame, budget, spending and workplan); ensure review of partner agreements and provide recommendations
- Ensure adherence to IRC’s Partnership Excellence for Equality and Results System (the ‘PEER System’ or ‘PEERS’) in the selection and management of IRC UK’s partnerships.
- Support Programme Officer with partner vetting and due diligence process in line with IRC’s policies and standards and support collaborative risk management and project design

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
HBF is seeking an experienced and dynamic lawyer for an interim period to give direction to the Legal Protection, Medico-Legal and Client Services of the Foundation. This role is crucial for advancing the rights and protection of our clients, many of whom are vulnerable individuals seeking asylum or are survivors of trafficking. We do not provide legal representation directly to our clients, instead we act as a support team to our clients and their legal representation by providing second tier advice. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure the highest standards of legal protection, and contribute to the overall mission of the Foundation including developing relationships that promote HBF’s expertise and reputation. The IRC:
Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global leader in providing emergency relief, rehabilitation, post conflict development, human rights protection, resettlement services and advocacy for refugees and others uprooted or affected by violent conflict and oppression. Over the past 17 years, the IRC has pioneered and implemented programs that prevent and respond to violence against women and children, as well as other vulnerable groups in refugee settings and in other conflict-affected contexts. IRC is one of the first humanitarian organisations to bring together specific expertise involved in violence prevention and response (VPR) in conflict affected settings to ensure collaborative and still specialized support to survivors and those at risk of violence. IRC presently implements VPR programs in over 26 countries, to support social and political environments that foster freedom from violence, discrimination, and exclusion for marginalized populations in contexts of crisis.
Background:
Building on a growing body of evidence – including IRC’s Cycles of Displacement report and other reports including The Only Way Is Up – in 2022, the IRC launched a flagship technical innovation project ‘TRANSFORM’ to develop mechanisms for humanitarian organizations to systematically embed diverse sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) considerations in conflict and displacement response. Through this BHA-funded project, the IRC is seeking to address the systemic reluctance/capacity issues holding back the humanitarian sector in a way that models a deep involvement of diverse SOGIESC CSOs and extends diverse SOGIESC inclusion across the humanitarian architecture. The TRANSFORM project will develop and socialize new approaches to advancing conversations and furthering commitments to diverse SOGIESC inclusion in the humanitarian sector and architecture.
Job Overview / Summary:
The Inclusion Specialist will support with ensuring the successful delivery of TRANSFORM, including the implementation of all key activities and deliverables.
The Inclusion Specialist will be based within the Violence Prevention and Response Unit (VPRU)’s Inclusion Team, which promotes more inclusive humanitarian programming at the IRC, rooted in a strong analysis of context, power, gender and how intersecting aspects of identity may result in discrimination, oppression and exclusion. The Inclusion Specialist will be based in a sub-team responsible for the delivery of TRANSFORM and may have opportunities to support with other diverse SOGIESC inclusion initiatives.
Major Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Technical Lead for TRANSFORM, the Inclusion Specialist will play a leading role in the implementation of all aspects of TRANSFORM until the end of the project, with a focus on technical programmatic components linked to diverse SOGIESC inclusion. Responsibilities include:
Project Management and Initiative Oversight and Coordination:
· Support with the management of all programmatic activities and deliverables within TRANSFORM.
· Actively work with relevant IRC country and headquarters staff and support project partners in delivery of project activities in all three pilot locations, ensuring effective implementation and with particular oversight of activities and deliverables in Ukraine and a disaster risk reduction (DRR) context.
· Support the Technical Lead for TRANSFORM and grant management focal point to produce programmatic donor reports, communications, and participate in meetings/calls as needed to keep the donor apprised of program progress.
· Coordinate with a wide range of project stakeholders, including the project team at IRC and the project partners, but also with IRC staff from pilot country locations to ensure timely implementation of project deliverables.
Learning and Impact:
· Document evidence and learning from TRANSFORM at the global level as well as from the pilot countries, in partnership with the MEAL focal point.
· Collaborate with IRC staff and project partners on the development of all knowledge management aspects (including but not limited to case studies, resource package and training materials) of the TRANSFORM project. This will include taking a leading role in the writing of substantial parts of the resources package and training materials.
· Support with documenting and sharing learning internally to support better diverse SOGIESC inclusion in programming – linking learning to IRC frameworks and strategies, and working with colleagues from across the organization as appropriate.
· Convene – with the support of the Technical Lead for TRANSFORM – an internal learning exchange / regularized discussion space to link together counterparts across the IRC and share learning from the TRANSFORM initiative. This may include colleagues from VPRU and other Technical Units, as well as from Policy and Solutions (P&S), People and Culture (P&C), Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI), Country Programs, and employee resource groups (ERGs).
Dissemination and External Representation:
· Support with the ongoing running of the project’s advisory group and ensure ongoing coordination between the advisory group and all project team members.
· Package and disseminate the growing evidence base, learning, and good practices around diverse SOGIESC inclusion on relevant internal and external platforms.
· Ensure dissemination of key project resources and learnings.
· Play a key role in IRC’s external representation for the project, including ensuring continued coordination and collaboration with external stakeholders within the relevant global humanitarian architecture, as well as representative organizations and local and national partners.
· Lead the development of communications materials linked to TRANSFORM.
Capacity Strengthening:

Scope of the Job
The Finance Officer at Alfanar will play a crucial role in delivering an effective and efficient finance function across the organization's group structure. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Officer will be supporting various financial tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash and reserves management, accounting processes, and financial risk mitigation. Main Responsibilities
· Manage all receivables and payables following agreed processes and ensure timely payment.
· Prepare monthly payroll and set up salary payments
· Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis
· Producing Monthly Management Accounts with the help of the finance system and Excel templates.
· Review donor reports prepared by the country office for accuracy and cost allocation
· Claim gift aid on a regular basis

Financial accounting

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
● Experience of supporting in accounting, payments, transaction processing, financial reporting, tax, and cash management with international operations ideally in a growing group.
● Experience of automating financial processes and developing reporting functionality from accounting systems
● Knowledge and experience of using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software.
● Experience of providing financial management support/business partnering to managers/budget holders, who may not have a financial background.
● Qualified affiliate accountant or working towards a qualification (UK ACA, CIMA, ACCA ,AAT or equivalent)
● Knowledge of data protection legislation, risk management and other governance regulations including confidentiality.

● Bachelor or Master's degree in accounting or finance.
● Experience in Finance Function in a not-for-profit setting, whether gained in a paid or voluntary capacity

We are looking for a talented and tenacious new Head of Social Media to join our External Relations and Media team. Our new Head of Social Media will lead Alzheimer’s Society’s social media functions, developing a compelling and inclusive organic social media strategy which integrates with organisational aims and positions Alzheimer’s Society as the leading dementia charity in the UK.
This role will drive a high-performing team to deliver proactive social media content that resonates with a range of audiences across multiple platforms, from people with dementia/carers, through to decision makers, supporters and the wider public. And we want to ensure that we’re quick to react to breaking news and we’re watching out for channel-specific trends – creating engaging content that grows our audience and brand awareness.
The role will work closely with senior colleagues right across the Society with the need to influence and collaborate at the highest levels. You will manage a small team who are all talented and passionate in their roles, working to achieve the team's collective goal. We need our new Head to support and lead them on this journey.
