The Role:
As the Database Manager, you will lead the strategic transformation of data architecture, ensuring seamless integration between CRM systems, data warehouses, and external platforms. You'll also lead automation and optimise platforms to support data-driven fundraising decisions and strategies, driving efficiency across the organisation. You will manage a team of 3.
Main responsibilities:
- Design and implement API-driven integrations between CRM systems (Raiser's Edge NXT), data warehouses, and external platforms.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation and optimised data processes.
- Collaborate with IT teams and external suppliers to develop integrated data solutions.
- Lead change management initiatives, including training and creating user guides for new processes.

We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment or return to their current role after a period of ill health. Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment-focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with community mental health teams (CMHRS), Early Intervention Into Psychosis (EIIP) Teams, partner organisations, local employers and other relevant agencies and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
As well as a good understanding of the IPS model of working, mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

The Role
Salix are currently recruiting a Director of Finance and Resources. A member of the Executive team and the Salix Board, the Director of Finance and Resources role is a key position for the organisation. You will work to deliver on the company’s strategic objectives across finance, governance, and internal audit. WorkWell is an exciting new government/DWP initiative to get people back to work. As well as providing work placement support, it will also address and support any physical or mental health needs via a Mental Health Provider and Physical Health Advisor who form part of the team. The pilot in Surrey will be going live in December and aims to empower people to take control of their health, wellbeing and any impacts this is having on their employment via referral to a WorkWell Coach. That’s where you come in.
Working as a key part of the primary care network (PCN) and other community hubs, your challenge will be to provide a supportive environment that enables each individual to identify their health and wellbeing concerns and the impact these are having on their employment. That will involve taking a strengths-based approach, focusing on ‘what matters to me’ and, together with the individual, producing a personalised and holistic support plan that aims to help the individual thrive at work. The role will work closely with policy colleagues to help develop opportunities for influencing key stakeholders within and outside government and its agencies to help Alzheimer’s Research UK improve the dementia research environment. This is a very creative directorate, and the post holder will have opportunities to work on projects that take the charity in exciting new directions. The role is likely to include frequent work in Westminster and Whitehall and elsewhere in the UK.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Public Affairs:
· Work with the policy and public affairs team, as well as the wider organisation, to help further develop and implement the public affairs strategy.
· Identify, develop and deliver proactive and reactive parliamentary activity to grow ARUK’s network of engaged, informed and supportive political stakeholders.
· Work across the policy and public affairs team to assist in developing tailored briefings and materials to further ARUK’s policy and public affairs ambitions.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Humane League is seeking a tenacious, determined, and well-organized individual with deep knowledge of laying hen welfare and the drive to create progressive change for millions of animals. The Temporary Animal Welfare Specialist (known internally as the Temporary Global Technical Lead or Temporary Global Technical Manager) is part of a small, high-impact global team specializing in corporate outreach and policy. The primary focus of this position is to deliver advice on farm animal welfare science to inform animal welfare campaigns and corporate engagement efforts. This requires extensive research and close collaboration with other organizations in the Open Wing Alliance (a global coalition of animal protection groups) to prepare for meetings with food companies and strategize on advocacy tactics from a scientific perspective.

The ideal candidate is passionate about The Humane League’s mission of ending the abuse of animals raised for food and excited about working both independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic environment. While working with autonomy is an important part of this role, strong collaboration and communication skills are also paramount to your success, as is the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Global Animal Welfare.
This is a part-time (32 hours per week), temporary, remote position. The temporary hire will provide coverage while a permanent staff member is on maternity leave, and overlap will be provided for training and onboarding. Employment is expected to be twelve (12) months in duration, beginning on approximately February 3, 2025. The duration of employment may be extended or shortened at The Humane League’s discretion. This position requires both domestic and international travel, equivalent to 3 or more week-long trips per year.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
A Temporary Global Technical Lead is responsible for carrying out the following essential job duties, with close supervision and guidance from the Senior Director of Global Animal Welfare:

Conduct extensive research into the scientific literature and corporate data relating to animal agriculture systems and industries. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the egg industry and laying hen welfare.

Leverage scientific knowledge to inform the work of THL and Open Wing Alliance member groups that are working with major food companies to advance protections for animals within their supply chains. This includes producing animal welfare education materials, preparing and delivering presentations on the science behind proposed welfare policies, and communicating effectively with corporate executives and stakeholders in the animal agriculture industry.

Collaborate cohesively with intra- and inter-departmental team members and Open Wing Alliance member groups to coordinate on strategic initiatives.

The compensation range for the Temporary Global Technical Lead position is £29,963.20 - £36,621.60 GBP, and the compensation range for the Temporary Global Technical Manager position is £34,316.80 - £41,943.20 GBP. About the role:
We are excited to be taking the lead in the London Whole Housing Service Partnership (LWHSP) which will address and enhance the pathways of housing support for women experiencing domestic abuse, from removing them from immediate harm, to enabling recovery and resettlement across all levels of need. The LWHSP are seeking to build on our delivery across 11 East and West London boroughs of the Whole Housing Approach (WHA).
The Housing IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. You will specialise in working with clients for whom housing, and risk of tenancy breakdown is a factor. You will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. You will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to work as part of Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.
About You:
As a Housing IDVA, you will need to have a degree of flexibility for colocation work across London boroughs; providing support to women who have experienced domestic violence, focusing on individuals with housing or tenancy issues. Working in our fast-paced crisis intervention, advocacy and support service, you’ll ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. You will have your own caseload of survivors and will focus on working with those aged 18 and over who access our domestic abuse service.
You will bring experience in providing independent domestic violence advocacy and support for women who approach housing advice and assessment for help. Ideally experience in working with housing service providers, and advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies. You will have the ability to develop individual safety and support plans in-line with the clients’ needs and the risks they face.

This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract with a pro-rated salary in the range of £55,000 to £65,000 per year, plus pension (4% employer, 4% employee).

About the Role
As the Assistant Director of Equity and Inclusion, you will be pivotal in driving Shelter’s equity and inclusion agenda. You will lead on strategic programmes to promote inclusivity, anti-racism, and lived experience, ensuring these principles are woven into all aspects of Shelter’s work. Collaborating with senior leaders, you will help shape Shelter’s future workforce and culture.
You will oversee and motivate teams dedicated to Equity, Inclusion, Anti-Racism, and Lived Experience. Additionally, you will work closely with the Assistant Director of Organisation Development and Engagement to deliver culture change aligned with Shelter’s core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy and Vision: Lead and operationalise the Equity and Inclusion strategic plan.
- Workforce Development: Develop strategies to cultivate a diverse pipeline of leaders and talent.
- Data and Reporting: Track and report on E&I progress, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborative Leadership: Support Shelter’s culture initiatives by co-leading on equity, inclusion, and lived experience insight plans.
- Risk Management: Oversee safeguarding and other risks, particularly regarding people impacted by housing emergencies.
About You
You’ll bring proven experience in developing and implementing equity and inclusion strategies within complex organisations, demonstrating a strong record of leading meaningful culture change. With a collaborative approach and excellent organisational skills, you’ll be skilled in mobilising and leading cross-functional teams across diverse settings.
Your commitment to values-led leadership will foster inclusivity and trust, while your expertise in co-production and lived experience initiatives will ensure these perspectives are embedded across Shelter’s work. As a subject matter expert in equity, diversity, and inclusion, you’ll drive accountability and inspire positive, impactful change throughout Shelter.

Key Responsibilities:
Corporate partnership strategy
- Develop and lead a strategic plan to build sustainable corporate partnerships, especially in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Focus on achieving ambitious financial targets through various income sources, including grants, sponsorships, and direct corporate funding.
Income target achievement
- Drive initiatives to meet or exceed income goals, adapting strategies based on performance insights to maximise revenue growth. Regularly monitor income metrics and report transparently on progress, challenges, and successes.
Relationship building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the corporate, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and biotech sectors. Ensure these partnerships align with our clients mission and income goals to foster mutually beneficial, long-term engagement.
Grant and proposal leadership
- Lead major funding applications and proposals, collaborating with internal teams and external bid writers to secure substantial grants and sponsorships. Ensure applications are aligned with income goals and present a compelling case for support.
Compliance and contract management
- Oversee compliance for all grant and sponsorship agreements, ensuring contractual obligations are met, funds are allocated accurately, and reporting is clear and accountable. Maintain high standards of transparency in partnership activities.
Revenue stream expansion & Engagement and Marketing
- Identify and assess new corporate revenue streams and innovative partnerships, particularly within pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, to sustainably expand income generation and support organisational growth.
- Develop a focused external engagement and marketing strategy to effectively communicate our mission, value, and impact to potential corporate partners, particularly in pharma and healthcare. Enhance brand awareness and reputation through strategic outreach.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have proven experience in income generation within corporate and pharmaceutical partnerships, a strategic approach, and a record of exceeding financial goals. They should excel at building high-level relationships, driving results, and aligning efforts with their mission to maximise impact.
Essential Skills:
- Proven background in corporate income generation and business development, ideally within healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors, with a strong record of consistently meeting or exceeding income targets.
- Thorough understanding of the charity sector and income generation, including experience in securing, managing, and monitoring grants and corporate sponsorships.
- Strong financial skills, with experience in setting, monitoring, and achieving income targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly with senior corporate stakeholders.
Personal Qualities:
- Entrepreneurial and proactive, with a forward-thinking approach to identifying and pursuing partnership opportunities.
- Results-oriented, with a strong commitment to achieving and exceeding income targets.
