Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
This Support Worker role is on a 4 week rolling rota which includes a combination of early (8.00 - 16.00) and late (14.00 - 22.00) shifts including weekends. No sleep in's required.

What you'll do:
Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a Support Plan
Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
Proactively manage risk and safety both in and outside of their physical living environment
Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed, to ensure that customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Proactive development of links with local statutory and voluntary organisations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for customers in the community
Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service
Empowering customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
Encouraging and enabling tenants to pay their rent and ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively
Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all time and to uphold all health and safety responsibilities within relevant policies and local protocols
Adhering to all other Look Ahead's policies and procedures
Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
Day to day instruction/ supervision of Assistant Support Workers/domestic staff/ Personal Support Assistants where appropriate

The role of Head of Financial Reporting & Analysis supports senior leaders and key decision makers to effectively manage the Trust ensuring we are financially viable and make best use of our resources to support Young People and fulfil our charitable objectives effectively.
The role:
- Lead and develop the Financial Reporting team, including regular 1-2-1's, coaching, mentoring & upskilling where appropriate.
- Lead the planning, execution and management of the group external audit and preparation of the UK consolidated financial statements under UK GAAP and Charities SORP.
- Responsible for the integrity of the Trial Balances including regular reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts.
- Set the accounting standards by which the financial transactions are recorded including income recognition criteria. Accounting and reconciliation of restricted funds.
- Lead on the month end close activities and production of high quality, accurate and timely management accounts pack and associated reports.
- Oversee the collation of meaningful commentary including highlighting deviations from financial target, impact analysis and actions required to recover financial position.
- Provision of regular and ad-hoc reports for internal stakeholders to drive financial performance and decision making.
- Set the financial planning framework including methodology, assumptions and timetable, analysis of risks and opportunities and recommendations to the senior finance team.
- Act as technical lead on more complex areas of accounting and reporting.

Essential criteria:
- Qualified accountant with experience in a comparable role or qualified by experience.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, including the Charities SORP and UK GAAP.
- Excellent people skills with demonstrable ability to influence key decision makers.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
- Management of month end processes including consolidating and reporting financial performance.
- Producing complex budgets and forecasts including identification of risk and opportunities.

PSK is a diverse and motivated group of 20+ technical specialists and advisors, passionate about bringing sustainable WASH to the world's poorest and most marginalised people. PSK leads and supports organisation-wide programme learning and knowledge management, collating and disseminating programme knowledge and facilitating knowledge exchange.
The team provides technical advisory expertise and fosters and supports internal and external programme and technical partnerships and networks. The team also leads on developing normative programme documents and standards and advise and support the delivery of a programme capacity enhancement strategy. PSK collaborates with many functions across the organisation including policy, advocacy, campaigns, fundraising, communications, as well as with WaterAid partners and collaborators.
About the Role:
The Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Senior Advisor is a senior position in the WASH Technical Effectiveness team, reporting to the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Lead.
Together with the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Lead, the Senior Advisor co-leads the delivery of core team responsibilities regarding the thematic areas of GESI and other closely associated topics for high quality WASH programming. Applying a people-centred, systems strengthening approach to WASH, she/he provides high quality specialist technical analysis, advisory, and support services to the design, inception, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and/or assessments of WaterAid's programming worldwide, at both strategic and operational levels.
In collaboration with country, regional and global colleagues, she/he co-leads the facilitation of effective learning and management of technical and programme knowledge across the organisation, and co-leads the development of relevant standards and guidance. She/he also provides strategic and technical input to fundraising, communications, and external engagements.
The Senior advisor has a high degree of independent and professional responsibility within own specialist areas, and discusses with her/his line manager to agree on how objectives are delivered. She/he is seen as a thematic authority and is able to handle highly challenging technical assignments. With a good understanding of organisational dynamics and ways of working, she/he is expected to effectively collaborate widely across WaterAid, facilitating joined-up and comprehensive efforts to advance WaterAid's programming globally.
About You:
- Strong technical experience in gender, equality, disability, social inclusion, rights, and other inter-related topics for WASH programming in both urban and rural, low-income settings, demonstrated through a progressive career record.
- A relevant post-Graduate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong experience in offering technical assistance, consulting, and/or advisory services to empower and to develop capacities.
- Ability to handle highly specialized, unusual, and challenging technical assignments, resolve complex issues in practical and imaginative ways.
- Strong writing ability in English. Experienced in producing practical knowledge products targeting needs of diverse audiences.
- Organised and efficient. Demonstrated ability to drive tasks forward to completion in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
- A team player, able to work responsibly, under pressure, and collaboratively across diverse groups and culture.

About the Service
The Sexual Health project was piloted in Islington and the project has expanded and will now cover Camden, Haringey and Barnet. From late 2021, the Sexual Health project covers a further three sexual health clinics in North London and will continue to provide high-quality holistic support to survivors of sexual abuse and violence who approach the sexual health clinic. As with all Islington SASS services, the Sexual Health project is inclusive to all survivors, but this project has a specific focus on increasing the engagement for LGBTQ+ survivors.
About the Role
We are looking for a Sexual Health Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocates to sit in the Islington SASS team and co-locate in Barnet Sexual Health Clinics. As a IDSVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of domestic and sexual abuse attending the clinic including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as the Sexual Health lead for Solace in for Barnet, providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and Sexual Health professionals.
The Sexual Health IDVAs also hold a caseload providing one-to-one support to high-risk victims/survivors at the point of crisis as well as those at standard and medium risk levels, co-ordinating multi agency support and providing practical solutions.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.

As Director of Development, you’ll lead our efforts to bring major donors, trusts/foundations and corporate partners into long term relationships of trust with the Royal College of Physicians. Hounslow Young People is a Supported Accommodation Service for young people and young parents aged 16-25. The Service encompasses a mix of units across six sites supporting 57 vulnerable young people and 19 teen parents.
The aim of the service is to empower Young People to move towards independent living, supporting their successful transition from childhood; laying the foundations for healthy, ambitious, and safe adult lives with minimal ongoing support. Support is delivered in partnership with a number of stakeholders and partners in the community such as mental health services, substance misuses agencies, housing teams, police, and social services.
We are recruiting a Waking Night Support Worker to join our dynamic service and team. In the role of Waking Night Support Worker individuals will ensure continued support is provided to young people at the standards of day staff with particular focus on safety of vulnerable young people.
About the Role:
The Waking Night Support Worker will work in line with person-centred risk assessments, support plans, and liaise with Support Workers to provide comprehensive handover and partnership working. They will be observant of changes in behaviour and presentations ensuring appropriate actions are taken to document and report changes in support needs of young people.
Waking Night Support Worker will be able to carry out all necessary health and safety actions including light cleaning tasks and environment management. Furthermore they will actively seek out ways to work with the team and stakeholders to improve the experience of young people in the service.

Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. In some services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. The shift pattern for this role will be on a rota basis. Some weekend work will be required.

What you'll do:
If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. In some services, this will include delivering personal and physical care as appropriate
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker
Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises
Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift
Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed
Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g. accompanying the customer to attend benefit agency appointments and meetings, go shopping, to enquire at colleges about possible courses, to visit various public amenities
Report any observations relating to customers welfare
Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements
Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times
Maintain records as required at the project under the direction of the Support Workers/ management
Participate in team meetings/reviews and the general development of the service

To enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community, by providing flexible and individually tailored support.
What you'll do:
* Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support actions and capture outcomes in Support and Risk Management files.
* Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
* Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
* Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community especially the local mental health system to ensure that customers receive the best treatment available
* Lead on an area of specialism (e.g. , health and wellbeing) , build partnerships and develop internal and external opportunities for service-users in this area
* Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
* Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
* Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
* Work patterns are over a 7 day shift rota (shift pattern is a mix of early shifts (8am-4pm) and late shifts (2:30pm-10:30pm) . The service operates 24 hours 7 days a week.
* All staff members must be confident using IT.
