Key Purpose of the role

As a Head of Relationships, you will Build and maintain the relationship with target local authorities, making sure we understand what local authorities need and want and grow our income and increase the provision of our services.

The role will be to ensure that exceptional business relationships are developed with our commissioners guaranteeing the long term sustainability of the contracts. You will be the subject matter expert for your assigned commissioner and Local Authority and negotiate new business outside of the frameworks and tenders. While assessing service delivery against contracts and provide feedback on any gaps in operations, you will convey any necessary changes with the commissioners.

Who you are

To be successful, you will have senior level experience of being a Relationship/Account Manager for Local Authorities, Commissioners or Multi-Million corporate clients. With credibility in building relationships with public sector funders/commissioners you will have significant experience of negotiation and able to apply different techniques to varying situations. You will have leadership and motivational experience with a multicultural staff team with the ability to create a high performance environment, for all our contracts while setting and monitoring measures that reflect the corporate objectives and customer goals.

Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind run an innovative crisis prevention service designed as a place for children and young people at risk of mental health crises to de-escalate and have access to a skilled staff team to support them.

The Circle is open out of hours (3pm-11pm or 12pm-8pm weekends and holidays), 365 days a year, and has been designed to reduce the need for young people to attend A&E. Co-designed by young people, it is a friendly and accessible space. Please note: some out-of-hours work is a key part of this job, with some opportunity for home working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Line management of a team of full time, part time and bank staff who have expertise in supporting young people nearing crises.
• Day to day management of the contract (from the NHS ICB)
• Responsible for managing a rota to ensure the service has adequate staffing, 365 days a year
• Holding relationships with all key stakeholders (funders and commissioners, local authorities, local CAMHS services and hospitals)
• Building on the pilot phase of the programme and using creative approaches to supporting children and young people of all ages.

You will have:

• At least 3 years’ experience of managing a complex service supporting young people with a variety of needs, ideally within a mental health context.
• Experience of working on (ideally managing) a commissioned service within a Third Sector Organisation.
• Experienced in delivering a service within budget and meeting all KPIs and contract requirements.
• A passion for supporting and developing staff.
• A commitment to improving the lives of young people through high-quality mental health support
• Having a creative approach to problem solving and developing the service to meet the needs of diverse young people and families.
• Ability to form and maintain relationships (e.g. with CAMHS, commissioners, funders), and communicate effectively with all stakeholders and young people.

Job Title: Patient Support & Advocacy Officer (2 vacancies)

Location: Home based with travel to renal units around Greater London

Role purpose
To engage with kidney patients, their families, and carers as a source of information, support, and advocacy, in order to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for patients. This may be in the hospital or other care setting, on the phone, online or face-to-face in a mutually acceptable public place. The role will cover the main renal unit and satellite dialysis units across your designated area, and regular travel and attendance is expected across all sites.

You will be expected to deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support & Advocacy Service across the region, raise awareness of the service and the charity and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in the region.

Responsibilities

• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service in the region so patients, their families, carers and professionals to access independent support on social, financial, health advocacy and wellbeing
• Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Patient Support & Advocacy Service across the region and the effective management of a caseload. This involves regular attendance at renal clinics in the region, building relationships with health and care professionals and being available for patients in the renal unit, on the phone or online, or to meet at a mutually convenient public location

We require a Counsellor to provide counselling interventions and family support services in schools across the Diocese of Salford according to each school’s formal agreement.

The role requires you to liaise and work with parents and families to ensure that the child/young person’s needs are being met and any issues that arise are being addressed appropriately. This will also include providing support and guidance to school staff on these matters.

You must have knowledge of safeguarding guidelines and risk factors in relation to working with children and young people and be able to respond accordingly by following the locality safeguarding procedures and ensure that priority is given to the Safeguarding Policy and Procedures in all work undertaken. You must also support the school staff with safeguarding.

You must have competent IT skills, be confident with systems, complete reports, maintain records and manage confidential data and be able to review and obtain feedback on the support in place for the children and young people and provide this information back to the schools and Caritas Schools’ Service as required.

You must also be able to make autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice and approaches and partake in supervision one to one, clinical and group reflective supervision with other counsellors. 

Registered counsellor status with the BACP or UKCP is essential. However, we will discuss experience and qualifications on a person-by-person basis if you are selected for an interview.  The salary includes accrued annual leave.

Can you help us to support new dads and dads-to-be?

We are recruiting a Dad Matters Coordinator to help us reach more families across Barnet, Brent and Harrow. They will work alongside our team of Coordinators, local Family Hubs and a range of services including Maternity, Health Visiting and Children's Services. 

The Dad Matters Coordinator will deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at fathers in the First 1001 Days. They will support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. They also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways. Addtionally, they will help develop and run sessions with dads and will  be at the forefront of growing our Dad Matters volunteering opportunities.

CXK are recruiting a 2 Project Coaches to work on the ‘Steps to Success’project, delivered in partnership with East Sussex County Council (ESCC).

Funded by the Careers Enterprise Company, this exciting project will deliver a tested model across secondary schools, supporting young people in year 10 to achieve successful pathways post year 11.

The Project Coach will be based within CXK’s Youth Employability Service (YES) and will undertake regular careers-based interventions with young people, supporting them alongside a bespoke work experience placement, organised and overseen by ESCC’s Work Experience team.

Working in schools and in the community, you must be able to manage your time flexibly, use your initiative and creativity to plan and engage young people and stakeholders, and have excellent communication skills.

Job Purpose

• To contribute to the delivery of an effective, efficient and safe helpline for the residents of Tower Hamlets.

• To provide information and advice to customers on support and services available in the borough, enabling them to remain as independent for as long as possible and with improved health and wellbeing.

• To act as a first point of contact for Tower Hamlets residents and professionals.

• To ensure accurate and timely case records are maintained to support ongoing service improvement.

• To ensure all referrals to health or social care are appropriate.

Key Tasks

• To act as a first point of contact for Tower Hamlets residents and professionals via telephone and email

. • To gather information required to efficiently triage customers’ strengths and needs and make appropriate referrals.

• To provide information and advice to residents on local services to support prevention and promote independence.

• To actively promote use of the digital portal and signpost to digital support services where appropriate.

• To maintain excellent records of all contacts and enquiries on all relevant case recording and data systems ensuring accuracy, quality and timeliness while complying with statutory requirements and maintaining confidentiality.

General

• To meet regularly with line manager for support, supervision, and appraisal.

• To attend team meetings required.

• To undertake any other duties within the competence of the post holder as may be required from time to time for the continued smooth running of Age UK East London.

• To undertake all training required to fulfil the role.
