You’ll be joining a high-performing team that has a large portfolio of high-profile corporate partners including but not limited to Omaze, The Perfume Shop, Slimming World, Bloomberg, TP ICAP, and Dyson. Alongside having just secured brilliant partnerships with Cadbury, and John West.
We’re looking for a New Business Officer to join our team, to secure new partnerships that will grow income and take us one step closer to a cure.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Identify and build strategic relationships to generate income from new corporate supporters.
· A focused and strategic approach to identifying, researching, and targeting prospective corporate partners.
· Work closely with Corporate Partnerships Manager (CPM) to deliver our successful new business strategy.
· Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities to include strategic partnerships and charity of the year partnerships.
· Develop engagement plans for prospects, with innovative, commercially minded ideas, to maximise the chances of securing successful partnerships.
· Create innovative and creative applications/proposals for charity of the year and strategic partnerships.
· Actively network with potential corporate partners through warm contacts, events, conferences, and other available media.
· Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of new business approaches in liaison with CPM, communicating progress regularly.
· Take full personal responsibility for the timely recording of prospects, actions, updates, and notes within the CRM (Salesforce).
· Work alongside the Partnership Development Officers on new partnership set-up, including establishing legal agreements with corporate partners.
· Work closely with the Philanthropy team to leverage support from major donors and assist the Philanthropy team with their prospects where possible.
· Achieve agreed financial and non-financial targets, including income generation and meetings.
· Support the CPM in the development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy for ARUK, to increase the team’s income, to ensure that the best use is made of internal and external contacts
Represent the charity professionally in a high-level corporate context.
· Organise and attend networking and cultivation events as required, influencing, and engaging high-level external contacts.
· Deliver high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage prospects and convert them into partners.
· Organise tailored face-to-face meeting opportunities to initiate and build relationships.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current ARUK activities, including research being funded, and be an advocate of ARUK at all times.
What we are looking for:
· Corporate fundraising experience, or business development experience in a corporate role.
· Evidence of delivering high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage potential partners/clients.
· Experience in creatively building new strategic partnerships/clients from scratch within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.
· Experience in engaging and building relationships with key external stakeholders and decision-makers to deliver positive outcomes.
· Experience in securing new partners/clients within a fundraising and/or corporate environment.
· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
· Excellent personal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels face to face and on the phone.
· Ability to write professionally, with an ability to adapt communications for different audiences.
· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
· Ability to articulate complex issues to supporters in a compelling manner.
· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to make financial asks.
· Strong business development and relationship management skills, ideally from a charity background.
· Ambitious, professional, and hard-working team player.
· Outgoing, enthusiastic, and able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to give and receive feedback.
· Ability to try new ways of working and be resilient.
· Willingness to work outside of regular office hours during busy spells, as well as occasional travel within the UK when required.
Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Job Title: Recovery Worker (Night Shifts)
Location: In service based in Camberwell, SE5 7HQ (Queens Road Peckham is a 23 minute walk or a 13 minute ride on the 36, 136, 171 and 436 and Elephant and Castle station is a 8 minute ride on the 343)
Salary: £27,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Sunday on a rolling rota which covers 21:00 - 08:00. Rotas will typically be 2 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on, then 2 nights off. Bank holiday working permitted if rota falls on this day. You may also be required to work flexibly in the week to attend day meetings and training sessions.
About the role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team which aims to deliver support to male residents aged between 18 and 65. You will be at the heart of providing person centred support in a residential setting to our residents who have mental health issues, often alongside drug and alcohol dependencies. You will provide tailored support to help our residents to improve their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals through providing flexible support. The service offers our residents two years supported living with 24 hour medium to high levels of support to help residents maintain stability in the community and reduce hospital admissions.
You will work directly with our residents to support them to overcome their personal barriers and challenges to achieve positive outcomes. You will do this through one to one support sessions, group sessions and activities, and general support with their daily living.
The role further includes:
- Supporting residents with taking their correct medication
- Carrying out various welfare checks on residents during the night
- Health and safety tasks, including reporting repairs and maintenance
- Keeping support plans up to date using our online portal
- Plan and deliver various activities within the service to gain a sense of community and belonging which could include movie nights, cooking nights, and game nights. You are welcome to bring your own ideas to bring residents together to achieve positive outcomes.
About you
We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who face challenges with their mental health, and have substance dependency. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to helping others, with an understanding that each individual has different levels and types of support needs.
You will have an understanding and ability to help others overcome their personal barriers, and will be motivated to want to make a difference to people's lives. This is a fulfilling role, and is the perfect fit for someone who has a real passion in helping others. You will have:
- Experience working within a residential setting
- Experience working with people with multiple and complex needs, ideally in mental health
- Ability to show empathy and compassion to our residents, and different challenges they face
- Ability to motivate, and empower others to achieve their personal goals and overcome barriers
- IT ability to use our online CRM systems and Microsoft programs daily
- Previous experience in creating co-produced support plans, key working, and care plans
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges
- A qualification in NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is extremely desirable

Turn2us is a national charity tackling financial insecurity and its structural causes. We work with co-producers and partners to provide people in financial crisis with the means and agency to get back on their feet, build resilience, move forward with their lives and thrive.
Turn2us and its partners have secured £1.5 million from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver an ambitious and innovative new programme that will support charities in England and Scotland to empower diverse and marginalised communities to respond to climate change and to get their voices heard in environmental policy and media debates.It will focus on Disabled people, those facing financial insecurity and people from ethnic minority communities. These voices are often the least heard from in national and local debates on our environment. This new work aims to change that.
As part of this programme, The National Lottery Community Fund have funded the creation of an Engagement Manager post at Turn2us to work with those facing financial insecurity. The Engagement Manager employed by Turn2us will deliver activity with smaller charities and grassroots organisations supporting those facing financial insecurity that:
- Increases awareness of the impact of environmental change and related policy on different communities
- Listens to people in these communities to find out what actions they want charities and local government to take
- Develops shared local environmental policy priorities and empowers these organisations to advocate directly to local and national policy makers
- Identifies actions that these organisations can take to support communities to respond to climate change, and helps organisations to implement them
- Identifies people with lived experience to receive hands on training in order to act as diverse champions to media and policy makers
They will work closely with Community Engagement Managers employed by Disability Rights UK, and Race Equality Foundation, focussed on reaching organisations supporting Disabled people and people from ethnic minority communities.
We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month on a weekly basis.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead is responsible for overseeing income generation from corporate partners and growing high-value support from major donors to fund the vital work of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
This newly created role will develop and implement strategies and plans across two areas:

The Legacy and In Memory Manager is responsible for developing and delivering plans to maximise gifts in wills and in memory giving, ensuring a sustainable income stream for the charity whilst providing exceptional levels of supporter care.
This role will oversee the administration of legacies, drive the growth of the charity’s Free Wills programme, steward legacy pledgers, and expand in memory fundraising. The Legacy and In Memory Manager will also ensure supporter journeys, audience insight and effective targeting are at the heart of the charity’s programme, working with the Individual Giving and Development Lead to create impactful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels.
The post holder will raise awareness of the importance and impact of gifts in wills and in memory giving to a wider audience, both internally and externally, ensuring these vital income streams are embraced at all levels of the organisation.

The Kenelm Youth Trust is seeking a Retreat Centre Director to head up both the Alton Castle and Soli residential centres based in Alton, Staffordshire. You will be required to live on site in order to fulfil role requirements.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Mental Health Workshop Lead to support delivery of our Family Zone project running in Southwark. This is a contractor position for 12 weeks, working 1 to 2 days per week, from the middle of May. There is the potential to continue for a further 12-14-week period in the autumn.

Family Zone in Southwark will benefit approximately 100-125 members of families where at least one parent has a diagnosed mental health problem. We have successfully delivered a pilot group and will continue to deliver additional groups throughout 2025 with a plan to continue in 2026. Each group programme will consist of ten, weekly after-school workshops lasting two hours in person (3 sessions) or one hour online (7 sessions) and the workshop lead will be expected to jointly plan and deliver these sessions leading on the parental discussions. The workshop lead will also be responsible for leading the parent only discussions during 7 on-line sessions which will run at a different time.
What does the role involve?
- Jointly plan the delivery of the family workshops leading on the psycho education element in the sessions. (10 sessions)
- Lead on the planning and delivery of 7 parent-only sessions.
- Keep a record of key issues discussed in each group, any significant incidents that occur, and any positive or negative feedback from the group for discussion with the Programme Lead - Families Children & Young People.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Professional qualification or significant experience in a related field such as psychotherapy/counselling.
- Demonstrable group facilitation skills and the ability to lead with a non-judgemental attitude, understanding the potential impact of different mental health difficulties on other group members.
- Experience of working with families in a mental health capacity.

The funding means we are now at a pivotal time to rebuild both our events program and our offer as a beautiful, ethical and central venue to hire, as well as exploring how to diversify our services. You will be an instrumental part in the development and growth of our activities and in overcoming these recent challenges.

You will be part of an exciting new chapter for our organisation, as we prepare for our events “relaunch”, diversify our services and begin working on exciting new development projects. As our Finance Manager, you will be an integral part of this transition, working alongside the Building Manager and Community Engagement Manager, to increase event occupancy, improve our current services and financially futureproof Bridge 5 Mill.

MAIN DUTIES
Bookkeeping;
- Bank reconciliation
