This is a fundamental role within our North regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer. The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 23 historic churches across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, W. Yorkshire, N. Yorkshire (part), ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.

Key relationships

You will work closely with the Lead Local Community Officer (North), regional and national colleagues, volunteers, community groups and other local stakeholders.

Communications and Engagement Officer – Maternity Cover

Salary: £34,314 starting salary per annum plus £4,190 Inner London Weighting if based in London per annum.
Contract: 12 months fixed term Maternity Cover
Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks). We are open to discussing flexible or part-time working.

The Living Well Team:
The Bury Living Well Service is formed from an alliance of mental health services in the Bury area. The staff team is made up of staff from different backgrounds from Pennine Care Foundation Trust, Bury Involvement Group, the Creative Living Centre, and Early Break, and includes both clinical and non-clinical staff who employ a multi-disciplinary team approach to supporting individuals with significant mental health challenges in the community.

Job Summary:
You will form part of the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) provision within the Bury Living Well Model as a member of the Creative Living Centre (CLC) Service Delivery Team. The Link Worker is responsible for case loading adults experiencing mental and emotional distress, offering person-centred and trauma informed support in the community both face to face and via telephone. Ensuring that service users are provided with both initial and ongoing support in either 1:1 or group sessions, as appropriate to their needs which are identified and reviewed on an ongoing basis. You will engage empathically with those you support, providing positive emotional and therapeutic support, through a collaborative approach which focuses on individual strengths rather than deficits, enabling and promoting autonomy and self-care. You will work alongside clinical staff and staff from other VCSE organisations to form multidisciplinary team approach to collaboratively support individuals in the community. You will be supported by the Living Well VCSE Coordinator, Operational Programme Manager and Clinical Lead. CPD opportunities are available and personal interests/skills will be supported to development and growth. This is a new post and there will be an opportunity to help shape and evolve it.

The role is 35 hours per week and will have a base in Bury but expected to travel across the Bury area in community settings.

About the role: 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Philanthropy Officer to join our small, ambitious team and help secure the funding that makes our work possible.  Our Philanthropy team builds meaningful relationships with supporters—particularly charitable trusts and foundations—to secure a significant proportion of Future Frontiers’ income. 

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll help build a sustainable pipeline of high-value supporters. You’ll focus on researching new funding opportunities, crafting high-quality funding applications, writing tailored reports, and ensuring excellent donor stewardship.

You’ll bring exceptional writing skills, outstanding attention to detail and a proactive, people-focused approach. You may have fundraising experience, or bring a strong understanding of relationship-building from another sector. You’ll thrive on spotting opportunities, shaping persuasive cases for support and connecting with supporters.

You’ll also be highly organised, keeping accurate records and ensuring our funders feel appreciated and connected to our work.  This role would suit someone looking to take their next step in fundraising—perhaps you already work in a fundraising or grant-writing role and are ready for more ownership, or you bring strong transferable skills and are excited to grow into the role. Your responsibilities: 

Identify new funding opportunities:

You’ll lead on identifying charitable trusts, foundations and major donors with the potential to support Future Frontiers. Through proactive research and collaboration with other teams, you’ll build and qualify a strong pipeline of prospective funders, matching them with appropriate asks. A key part of the role is ensuring a steady flow of new prospects, with regular research and outreach to grow our portfolio of supporters. 

Build and manage a portfolio of supporters: 

You’ll develop a strong understanding of existing and prospective supporters, enabling you to provide thoughtful, tailored relationship management. With guidance from the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll help build and maintain relationships with a range of grant-making trusts and foundations, securing donations and delivering proactive stewardship to encourage continued support. You’ll also act as an ambassador for Future Frontiers, creating opportunities for supporters to connect with our work. 

Write applications for funding:

You’ll craft high-quality funding proposals that make a persuasive case for how each supporter’s contribution will make a difference for young people facing disadvantage. Every application will be tailored to the funder’s priorities, and your exceptional writing skills and attention to detail will ensure each one is clear, accurate and compelling. 

Report on impact:

You’ll demonstrate the difference our supporters make by delivering high-quality reports, updates and case studies that bring our impact to life. You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation to gather the right information and write clear and engaging updates that reflect each funder’s interests and requirements. You’ll manage reporting timelines and ensure our commitments are met, helping to secure future funding and strengthen relationships. 

Keep accurate and detailed records: 

You’ll make sure all fundraising activity is recorded promptly and accurately, helping us track relationships, deadlines and progress. You’ll support the team’s efficiency by keeping organised records and helping to manage key administrative processes. You’ll also ensure we meet data protection and fundraising regulations, including GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice. 

Contribute to wider organisational priorities: 

You’ll be a collaborative team member, supporting cross-team projects and organisation-wide initiatives as needed. From time to time, you may also be asked to take on other duties in line with your role.

About you 

Experience and knowledge:

 ● Experience communicating clearly and effectively in different formats, including long-form writing, emails, presentations and conversations with stakeholders (essential). 

● Experience conducting research and presenting findings, such as identifying prospective supporters, gathering information from a range of sources, and summarising insights for different audiences (essential). 

● Some understanding of trust and foundation fundraising and how to build relationships that lead to 4- or 5-figure grants (essential). 

● Experience contributing to relationships with high-value supporters, or strong transferable skills in relationship or account management (desirable). 

● Familiarity with fundraising regulations and best practices (desirable).

The Helen Bamber Foundation, founded in 2005 by the pioneering human rights advocate Helen Bamber, was created to reflect the evolving global patterns of violence and persecution. Helen Bamber, who entered Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp in 1945 as part of one of the first rehabilitation teams, recognised that all survivors of extreme violence—regardless of the perpetrator—require safety, legal protection, and medical and emotional support. Having moved into our new Trauma Centre last year, we are now looking for our first Office Manager, to coordinate and ensure that our office space and facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and secure environment. They will have overall ownership of the office with regards to the day to day running and ensuring health and safety compliance, and with the support of a Facilities and Operations Assistant, they will ensure our staff and clients are able to enjoy a safe and comfortable environment.

We are looking for a dedicated Advocacy Campaigns Manager to join our Advocacy team within Action Against Hunger UK's Operations department.  This is a great time to join our team as we broaden the reach of our public advocacy campaigns to a wider audience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead on developing and delivering our advocacy campaigns strategy, and also supporting with policy and parliamentary work. Our advocacy and campaigns focus on tackling the key drivers of hunger – conflict, climate change, poverty and inequality – and promoting improved response.

On the campaigns front, this role means spending around three days on designing and delivering creative and engaging online campaign actions, in collaboration with skilled colleagues across teams, organizing campaign events and building the engagement of chef and food industry supporters in our advocacy. This also requires having a good understanding of the political landscape and opportunities and distilling policy asks into engaging public campaign messaging.

You will also get to spend around two days per week supporting with policy work, such as drafting position papers or letters and working closely with our Head of Advocacy and Parliamentary Relations Manager on MP engagement. Job Title: Health Advocate Educator

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as an Health Advocate Educator supporting women and children who are impacted by domestic violence. 

The Health Advocate Educator will train and provide ongoing support to GP practices and other health professionals to enable primary and secondary care staff to be able to effectively talk to their patients about domestic violence and abuse (DVA), provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for female, male and non-binary survivors of domestic violence and abuse, aged 16 years and over and their children.

The post holder will work in partnership with the local ICB and the service manager to proactively develop and maintain links with health providers in the local area.The post-holder will work within a defined locality, either Stratford-upon-Avon District; North Warwickshire and Nuneaton and Bedworth, or Warwick District and Rugby borough; building links with health professionals and support agencies.  

Travel around Warwickshire for client appointments essential to role, therefore use of a car essential.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of special educational needs and disability (SEND) law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Trusts and Philanthropy Officer to join our small, ambitious fundraising team. IPSEA has a proven track record of successfully securing grants, and this is a new role designed to help strengthen and grow IPSEA’s income from charitable Trusts and Foundations. You will be responsible for researching new funding opportunities, preparing and submitting tailored applications and reports, and managing relationships with existing funders through thoughtful and timely stewardship. You will work remotely, with occasional travel required for essential meetings approximately 4-5 times per year.

We offer a range of support services and run two refuges in confidential locations.

JOB SUMMARY

She will be responsible for the co-ordination of an effective support plan for clients dealing with issues around domestic abuse and housing.

She will  provide emotional and practical support from the point of crisis, meeting their immediate needs and working towards a holistic, multi-agency approach to their long term safety, risk reduction and recovery.

She will ensure that they are informed of the full range of emotional, practical and referral options that are available to them, and to facilitate access to this support, both internally and externally. 

This support will be based in the community, including client’s homes where risk appropriate, and the Hope Centre and will involve utilising all of Pathway Projects available services, as well as referring into other appropriate agencies. 

.MAIN DUTIES

· To work as part of the outreach team in providing information, support, guidance, advice, signposting, emergency accommodation and resettlement help for adults experiencing or escaping domestic abuse. 

· To support the aims and principles of Pathway Project in empowering and supporting adults who have experienced domestic abuse to make their own decisions and take control of their own lives. 

· Take all possible steps to ensure the safety and confidentiality of the users, staff and management of Pathway Project. 

· To take referrals for people affected by domestic abuse and housing issues, and provide preventative and risk reducing work with regards to both the domestic abuse and housing. 

· To provide a multi-agency approach to support and wellbeing for clients. 

· To provide non-judgemental, one to one emotional and practical support to clients accessing the service. 

· To provide advice and guidance on the full range of services, options and legal remedies open to them. 

· To complete risk assessments, and develop risk management plans to address the risk of harm, including referral into MARAC where appropriate. 

· To undertake safety planning with clients, that addresses all areas of risk, with the focus on risk reduction. 

· To complete needs assessments and individual support plans with the client to ensure their emotional and practical support needs are being met 

· To provide support to clients, alongside colleagues around registering as homeless, bidding on properties, attending appropriate meetings, applying for grants, budgeting for necessary items and necessary life skills for maintaining a property. 

OUTREACH DUTIES

· To provide support to adults in the community, at the centre and their own homes, around physical, emotional, financial, sexual and social abuse. 

· To provide emotional support and, where necessary, signpost to appropriate counselling provisions. 

· To provide practical support and advice around welfare benefits, housing, debt relief, substance misuse, training, employment, mental health and legal issues, including the use of signposting to other appropriate members of staff and agencies. 

· To provide advocacy and liaise with other agencies on behalf of the client where appropriate and necessary. 

· To attend multi agency and professionals meetings to represent the needs of the client and Pathway Project. 

· To attend appointments with the client where required, and if necessary help with the completion of paperwork, including legal documents. 

· To attend court with the client where required. 

· To promote the work of the project through training, presentations and representation at meetings. 

· To assist with the setting up and maintaining of local support networks. 

· To assist with the delivery of client support groups where appropriate. 

GENERAL

• Manage a caseload of appropriate to the number of hours worked. 

• Maintain, update and keep accurate and factual case records. 

• Follow procedures and protocols with other services so that the safety of the service user is kept central to any process. 

• Keep other relevant agencies informed about important changes in service user’s situations, within information sharing protocols. 

• Develop and maintain effective communication systems with key partners including housing, Police, CPS, court service, social services, education, health, victim support, witness service, voluntary sector organisations, CAFCASS. 

• Contribute to the development of service policies, protocols, guidelines and strategies within area of practice as necessary. 

• To ensure that the security of sensitive data is maintained and complies with the policies, procedures and guidelines of the organisation. 

OTHER

· Any other duties the  CEO  or  Board of Trustees consider appropriate.

Purpose of This Role: 

This is a crucial role to support NASP’s strategic objectives to promote and spread social prescribing at a local, national, and international level.

This pivotal role involves supporting a number of programmes that aim to develop social prescribing within healthcare systems. The role will work closely with our Healthcare Integration Lead to meet our workforce, clinical engagement, and education priorities across the organisation, providing programme coordination as well as supporting a variety of dynamic projects with the aim of supporting the expansion of delivery of social prescribing in a variety of different settings. The role will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, to deliver one of our key priorities.  

This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive and highly organised individual with excellent project management, administrative, and communication skills to support the development of our growing healthcare integration portfolio, whilst developing skills in supporting complex and strategic projects and a national level. The ideal candidate will be a self starter, with experience in working autonomously, and someone who has a developed understanding of the complexities of health and social care systems both at a Primary Care Network (PCN) and Integrated Care System (ICS) level.

Responsibilities: 

• Support the Healthcare Integration Lead to deliver workforce projects, promoting consistency in social prescribing within ICSs and PCNs 

• Project manage and coordinate our new ‘premium’ monthly webinar series for healthcare professionals; scheduling webinars, liaising with speakers and partners (e.g. clinical bodies), and working with the Communications team to promote to healthcare organisations and the NHS; as well as ensuring technical and administrative support to run smoothly on the day, and reporting impact  

• Assist in developing and delivering educational session focused on neighbourhood health and social prescribing 

• Support with management of relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including NHS England (NHSE), Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), to support healthcare integration initiatives

• Provide coordination, administration and communication support to programmes which focus on engaging the NHS and clinicians, liaising with senior NASP staff, consultants and key partners  

• Assist in establishing and maintaining strategic advisory groups within NASP to foster collaboration, peer support, and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders 

• Plan, implement, and manage projects as directed by the Healthcare Integration Lead and senior leadership, implementing robust project management and evaluation tools ensuring high standards and effective evaluation throughout  

• Support any new NASP initiatives and projects with healthcare integration element

We’re looking for a Stories and Media Manager to join our team

Salary: Circa £40,000

Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid

Hours: Full time and permanent.  Working 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am - 7pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

• Work as part of a team of Volunteering Advisers to develop a shared practice and approach to guarantee a consistent volunteer experience.

• Create a great experience for volunteers and colleagues by collaborating across our directorate
